About: As a psychiatric nurse, I offer gentle, attentive care to people in vulnerable moments. I bring the same calm, respectful presence to the pets I care for. Their feelings and situations are accounted for while I tend to their personal needs. I work part-time on an as needed basis and can work around the schedules of my clients. Available on short notice, including nights, and 12-24 hours' notice is preferred. I have a lightly fenced yard and two friendly dogs. A canine guest may be offered crating for sleep, or they are welcome to bring their own bed. Must be cat friendly. If caring for a pet in a client's home, care will be provided in their own environment precisely as they are used to.

“Hayley is AMAZING!! One of my cats is very social and the other is shy. She got BOTH of them playing, brushed them, and made sure they knew they were loved on top of the bare minimum of feeding them and giving my old lady her meds. She even checked to make sure my hamster was still breathing while I was away since it was always during my hamster’s sleep time that she was there. Highly recommend. Will be using again if I ever am going away and she is available”

I have trained my dog through the GoodPup app and he knows the commands sit, stay, lay down, up, paw, leave it, heal, touch, and find it. All my pets are given enrichment activities throughout the day. They’re also stimulated with play/exercise. I know dog and cat body language. I have worked with dogs that have seizure disorders and know how to administer medication to both cats and dogs. I’m work Monday to Friday with my weekends free and open. My work schedule is Monday-Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm. I can take dogs for long walks, stimulate them through play, or with enrichment activities. I can administer medication if needed. I believe knowing pet body language is so important because that’s how they communicate their needs. I will care for your love ones as if they were my own! About: When I was growing up, I was always caring for at least two dogs and cats at my family’s house. Neighbors and friends also made me their go-to dog sitter when they went away. I have loved caring for two greyhounds, four loveable slobbering hunting hounds, a giant golden who always thought he was a puppy, and one super sweet bullmastiff. Since my landlords do not allow pets, I am looking to give my attention to someone else's canine. I am comfortable with all sizes of dogs. I especially appreciate dogs that behave well on leashes and like big walks. I would like to help care for dogs in the Pioneer Valley, ideally around Amherst, Deerfield, and Northampton.
