“My husband and I highly recommend Peggy. We have 2 cats, and one is very anxious and she ALWAYS runs away when people come over… but not when Peggy came over to meet them on Friday, before we left for our trip. I was shocked when Althea didn’t bolt, and she also got down from the top level of the cat tree and sat down in the living room to observe and listen as we talked with Peggy. 1st time, ever, so it was a direct response to Peggy’s calm and friendly energy We had to attend a friend’s wedding near San Diego, and felt very confident that our “kids” were in very capable hands. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED”

About: 15 years of loving care for pets of all ages and needs. Walks, play, cuddles, and peace of mind — I treat your pets like family. My work schedule is pretty flexible (I work from home), so I have plenty of time to prioritize pet care into my daily or weekly routine. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I stick to their normal routine so things feel familiar — from feeding times to favorite toys and walks. Outside, I always use secure leashes or fenced spaces, and indoors I keep their area clean, cozy, and hazard-free. My goal is for them to feel happy, cared for, and right at home until you’re back

About: Volunteered at shelters and vets for over two decades. Specialize in small to medium pets and care of all kinds to include baths and meds if needed. I currently have a pug, American eskimo, and a Siamese cat. I'm currently retired, working part time at Oxnard School District, and an empty-nester, so I can provide lots of love to fur kids of all sizes and temperaments. I'm very flexible! I ensure all safety measures are in place, priorities provided for any needed medications and daily routines. Lots of attention and exercise without distractions to ensure a safe reunion with their family.

I approach this work with the precision, enthusiasm, and accountability of a high-level professional What makes me different? • I build trust not just with pet parents—but with the animals themselves • I read body language, adjust energy, and treat every visit like the most important one of the day • I hold myself to a top-tier standard: clear communication, on-time care, full attention And I’m not done growing. 🙂↔️ I’m currently pursuing certifications in: • Dog & cat behavior • Canine cognition • Animal training science I combine that knowledge with hands-on experience to give your pet a premium care experience—whether it’s a walk, a visit, or an extended stay! Because your pet deserves nothing less than the best😀 I work part time from 7 AM to 11 AM on weekdays, so I’m fully available from 12 PM to 8PM to give your pets plenty of attention, playtime, and care 😀 On weekends, I’m available from 10AM to 11:30PM, making sure your pets get consistent companionship and exercise even when your schedule is busy And lastly, I prioritize quality time and routine, so your pets feel happy and secure every visit In my home, safety is always my first priority. I live with a friendly, well-cared-for cat, and I make sure the environment is calm, clean, and free of anything that could stress or harm your pet The apartment door stays closed at all times, and I keep a close eye on the space—especially when pets are transitioning or curious. I regularly check for anything out of place and make sure your pet feels secure and relaxed whether they’re napping, exploring, or just hanging out When I care for pets in a client’s home, I always respect the rules of the home and prioritize safety, routine, and cleanliness. Whether it’s locking gates, following feeding routines, or monitoring behavior, I treat your space and your pet with full focus and responsibility

I am currently not working in a full time job so I am available at any time for pet sitting and pet walking! I am wide open for assisting! “Michael was exactly who we needed to watch our sweet senior kitty. He sent us daily pics and updates, let us know how she did on meds and litterbox. Very kind and compassionate. We'd welcome him back any time and recommend with flying colors.”

About: I've been a pet-owner since I became an adult, also growing up with pets as a child. My first pet as an adult was my cat, Carpet, who I acquired in the aftermath of the 1994 earthquake. Carpet lived with me for 20 years. During that time my cat, Rocky (aka Rocky Raccoon), joined us as a kitten. And when my neighbors dog, Roxy, needed a home due to her adoptive dad's ill health, I took her in. I adopted Roxy, my Staffordshire Terrier, when she was about 5 years old. I took great initiative to make sure she and the cats got along. Carpet, being older, liked her own space, but after she passed, Roxy and Rocky became forever friends (much like Warner Brothers' Tom & Jerry)! Both Rocky and I were devastated when we lost Roxy in the summer of 2018 at 14 years old. Roxy had struggled with many health issues and had been losing the use of her hind legs for a couple of years prior to that dreaded day. Taking care of Roxy taught me patience and a strong will to match her own. I learned how to care for an invalid and still make her smile. I know the expectations of senior dog care. I know it's hard to leave your senior dog, or any dog, in the care of a new person, but I can assure you that your dog will receive love and attention tailored to his or her needs. For active dogs, we can take a stroll to the jetty or a walk along the beach...all steps from my home.... or play ball in the park or a nearby field...or my back yard which has a nice run! These days, my cat Rocky and I enjoy each others company, but she is an indoor/outdoor cat and often spends time entertaining herself. I have not been ready to get another dog of my own, but I so miss having a dog around. I would love to have the company of your companion while you are away and provide them with a nice vacation home. *Please note: i am happy to travel further for House Sitting bookings or have our pet come to me. For Drop-In Visits and Dog Walking, I serve my local areas only in order to keep my prices low. Feel free to message me with any question. Thank you! I have used Rover sitting services in the past. Recently, I began working from home, so I am now offering my services as a sitter now that I can be available for the most part of the day and nights. Some days do require meetings or errands so in the event that comes up, we can discuss in advance how to handle. I can also bring your dog for a ride-along in these cases if possible and if they do well in cars. I live next to the beach and would love to take your pooch for a stroll or play some ball or even a swim if mom and dad allow it. I would be happy to day-sit for those working long hours and/or find some regular clients so I can build a relationship with your pet(s). I will strictly follow all rules given to me by pooch parents, as I know both pets and people have their quirks! I am open to watching more than one dog from the same home. I will never have another clients pets in my home when yours are booked to stay, unless and in case of an emergency and where I have your approval. Your pet(s) will have my undivided attention. I am the only human in my househould. On occasion, I will have a visitor. I have a doggy door in the house and dog beds for your dogs use, although, I may allow them up on the couch or in the bed with me if that's what they are allowed to do at home. I have tennis balls and chuck-its for playing, as well as some toys, but best of all, the beach is only one short block away! We can take a nice long walk on the sidewalks or on the beach. My home has faux wood flooring (more of a tile laminate) and an area carpet. I have a nice cement back yard about 12 by 80 feet long where your dog and I can play and/or sun bathe. Your pet would be by my side and taken for outings if they are up to it. If they are not up for outings, they will have access to a doggy door 24/7. For cat parents, I also have cat beds and kitty toys as well as a place to set your baby's own litter box so they can have the smells of their own home! (Due to owner's allergies, some litter products may need to be swapped. Most clumping litters are okay.)
