“Thank you so much for your wonderful care! Thank you for helping us as long as you did! I always knew Rubi was in save hands with you! I am forever thankful for everything you’ve done. Thank you for being so incredible with her ❤️❤️❤️”

“Danny did a great job checking on calamity and mikey. Even though they hid when he came, as I knew they would, I could tell they were well taken care of while I was gone. I will use him in the future when I need to go away.”

“Courtlyn did an outstanding job. She had a meet and greet with our dog before the actual date. When taking care of Maverick she was always punctual. She sent pictures and comments so we could see that he was being walked and fed. I would certainly use Courtlyn again. I highly recommend her to care for your pet.”
“Jenna was amazing with both of my cats—the shy one even let Jenna pet her! I couldn’t have asked for a more caring, competent, and helpful sitter. 10/10 I’d highly recommend Jenna!”

“Caylene came every day as scheduled & took her time trying to find my shy kitties!! Was even able to send a couple pictures. It was a big relief to know we had her to rely on & didn’t have to worry while we were away.”

About: I cherish dogs and all they have to offer. I foster dogs for a rescue and can see first hand what love can do for a dog, and what that dog can do for you! I will treat your baby as though they were mine! I have a rescue dog who changed my life. I never thought it was possible to love a dog as much as I do. Some call it insane-like...I call it love!! Let me take care of your babies while you're away or just at work. They'll be well taken care of and exercised. If they love car rides that can be arranged as well! My dog is super friendly and will love to hang out and play with your pup!
“For the first time in 5 years since having our dog, we both had to be away for 5 days. Crux was a rescue dog with severe abuse issues whom we adopted from a rescue shelter. We booked with Alexandria. She was fantastic!! She cared for him with physical needs like food and water. She played with him and took him on long walks on our mountain property. She spent time with him out on the patio. She met his emotional issues. Due to his huge shedding issues, she dry mopped our floors. More so she instilled trust with a dog who had huge issues. There is no one better to trust care for your pet.”

“Mary was wonderful! She perfectly spaced out the drop in visits and made sure my dogs needs were met, even with it being over a holiday! Will definitely book her again when I need someone to care for my dog.”

About: I have cared for pets my entire life. I had 3 dogs throughout school, and have assisted in training 5 dogs and 3 cats in my life (all of whom I love with my whole heart). I have also always been very good with new animals, and animals seem to like me (even when they "never like anybody"). I'm currently working part-time as I wait for my nursing program to start and figured I could make some extra money doing something I love to do anyways - hanging out with animals! I have enough space to play with your pet in my apartment and have a large, private yard. My yard is not fenced but I assure you I know how to hold a leash so that it cannot be pulled away and I have experience with strong dogs (I had a pit bull and 2 boxers growing up).
“She is soo great! She was very sweet and attentive to all our animals. They were very well taken care of. She took numerous photos and updated us on every drop in she did. She went above and beyond in their care.”

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
