About: I have been raised with dogs cats hamsters tortoises since I was little. As a kid I have pet sat for many of my neighbors animals. During my freshmen year at Uni I worked as a vet tech. Currently I am a senior at UC Davis and am available to care for your pets overnight before classes, in between classes, and after classes. I can administer medication orally sublingual and injection wise. I have given inhalers and eye drops many times. On another note I will not be taking your dogs to dog parks anything can occur as there are dogs of various temperaments. Dogs will not be off-leash when being walked and while walking, I tend to avoid people or other dog interactions to maintain safety, regardless of how sweet or kind your dog or the other dogs are. Safety first always! :) Aside from that I will always throw frisbees, toys, and even tustle with overly energetic puppies/dogs in your home/backyard if thats how they like to have fun. A tired dog is a happy dog! I am a student at UC Davis but after lectures I will likely be in the house most of the time if your dog has separation anxiety. I prefer to be a recluse at the house especially since I will be studying for the MCAT with your pups or kitties of course. Yayyy :) Your dog will be cared for in a secure and welcoming environment. I always allow the doggos/kitties to approach me at their own time and space to ensure we start off at the right foot. For me safety is paramount so even if your dog is social with other dogs or humans on walks I will likely be avoiding approaching to ensure that everyone is safe/happy. I also truly believe that dogs and cats that are social or more high in energy need mental stimulation so I will be providing play time or attention to those furry companions that need so. On the other hand kitties or pups that are more skittish I will respect their personal space and make sure they are receiving the food, time outside, medication or other related needs they may have :)

About: I have owned dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes since I was born. Now, I have worked as a vet assistant for 6 years in both general practice and oncology. I have helped with emergencies for all kinds of breeds and done overnight care several times. I also work and volunteer at shelters consistently so I know how to deal with animal stress. I have never met an animal I didn't love no matter its personality and demeanor so I know they are in good hands. I am a college student but have gaps in my day to go back to my apartment and take them out. I would never leave a pet at home for more than 2 hours and live with just my fiance and I also well equipped in pet care, but I will be doing the caregiving. I love every furry friend and it would be a joy rather than a chore to help care for each pet. I am well versed in medication administration, feeding, playtime, small training activities, and more. Depending on the breed or species, I would ensure I am thorough with each pets need and go from there whether thats exercise and play or just chilling on the couch.

I have a golden retriever (6 mo.) and a labradoodle (10 yrs). My golden (Sunny) is super friendly and loves to make friends! I grew up with a dog and have been around dogs for most of my life, while Daihong became a first time dog dad when we got our Mia. Now he might be just as obsessed with dogs as I am, if not more! 😂 We are currently raising Mia our super sweet doodle, and she absolutely loves people and other dogs. She is playful, social, and always excited to make a new friend, so your pup will have a built in buddy during their stay! As dog parents ourselves, we know how nerve wracking it can be to leave your baby with someone else. Our goal is for your dog to feel like they are having a little vacation of their own while you are away! 🐶🏡 I work from home Monday through Wednesday, and Daihong works from home full time, so someone will always be home with your pup! Our days already revolve around caring for Mia, so walks, potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of attention are a normal part of our daily routine. We have lots of flexibility and are happy to accommodate your dog’s usual schedule as much as possible. We live in an apartment, so we are best suited for small to medium sized dogs who are comfortable in an apartment environment. We take Mia out regularly throughout the day for walks and potty breaks, and there is a dog park right across the street that we love taking her to for some extra exercise and playtime. Mia is very friendly and loves both people and other dogs, so your pup will have a built in buddy during their stay! Since Daihong works from home full time, someone is usually around to keep an eye on the pups and give them plenty of attention. We are also happy to follow your dog’s normal feeding, walking, sleeping, and crate routine so they can feel as comfortable and at home as possible. ❤️

About: My name is Destiny and I grew up caring for large and small dogs and cats. I have hands-on experience raising puppies and kittens from birth through adulthood. As an adult, I continue to care for both cats and dogs, including adopted shelter cats and my own Labrador Retriever and Standard Poodle. Both of my dogs are neutered, gentle and affectionate. My Standard Poodle loves to run and play and can be wonderfully bouncy, but he's also surprisingly nurturing and likes to make sure everyone is okay. My Labrador is basically Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh—a lovely potato who is particularly drawn to wee, scrappy dogs. I actively study canine behavior and learning. I train and participate in dog sports including obedience, scent work/nose work, agility, Barn Hunt and NASDA. I'm comfortable observing canine body language, following established training and management routines, providing enrichment, and adapting my approach to the individual dog. Most importantly, I genuinely enjoy getting to know animals as individuals. I don't expect every dog or cat to immediately love me, and I don't force interaction. I believe comprehensive care starts with paying attention to what makes an animal feel safe, comfortable and understood. I work from home with a flexible schedule and control over my own hours, which gives me plenty of time to incorporate walks, play, enrichment, meals, potty breaks and companionship throughout the day. Our household is unusually quiet and relaxed. There are no children in the home, and my neighborhood is a peaceful residential area that's well suited to walks and downtime. Pets staying with me have opportunities for activity and engagement, but also plenty of time and space to settle, nap and simply relax. Because I'm home much of the day, pet care fits naturally into my routine rather than having to be squeezed in around a long commute or rigid work schedule. I believe pet care starts with understanding the *individual* animal. I take time to learn each pet's normal routine, temperament, preferences, training cues, feeding needs and anything that may make them uncomfortable or stressed. My approach is calm, patient and attentive. I don't force interactions, and I pay close attention to body language and changes in behavior. I follow owners' established routines and management instructions carefully because consistency can make being away from home much easier for a pet. My home is clean, quiet, child-free and low-stress, in a peaceful residential neighborhood. I want visiting pets to have a comfortable place where they can play and engage when they want to, but can also settle and rest without constant activity, noise or disruption. When caring for pets in their own homes, I bring the same approach: respect the animal's familiar environment, follow the household's routines carefully, communicate reliably with the owner, and leave things exactly as I found them.
