“From the moment we dropped Nessa off until the time we picked her up, we were pleasantly surprised by how completely at home she felt with Marla. Normally, Nessa is very apprehensive when meeting new people, new animals, or even visiting a new place. But from the moment Marla opened the door, our normally shy and hesitant little girl ran right into the house to greet Marla and all of her pets. To say my husband and I were shocked would be an understatement! Watching Nessa happily run off to play filled this mom and dad with so much joy. While we were attending our niece’s wedding, we kept checking our phones, fully expecting a call or text saying Nessa was crying or looking for us. That message never came—because she was apparently having the time of her life! When we returned to pick her up, Nessa was excited to show us all of her new friends. It was obvious she had been well cared for and truly enjoyed her stay. We could tell that Marla treated Nessa as if she were one of her own, and there is no greater compliment we could give. We only wish Marla lived in Connecticut instead of New York. Finding someone who genuinely loves and cares for your pet as though they were part of their own family is incredibly rare, and we would trust her with Nessa again in a heartbeat.”

About: I was raised with dogs from the time I was born, and our home was always full of animals — be it bunnies, turtles, hamsters or parrots! I’m now a proud pet mom to two cats, Tortellini and Simone, and one pup, Frankie. I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy, patient, and attentive to care for your pets while you’re away. My pup, Frankie, is always happy to make new furry friends, and I love making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved. Whether your pet needs feeding, walks, playtime, litter box care, medication reminders, or just extra love and companionship, I’ll treat them like part of my own family. Pet care fits very naturally into my routine because I’m a researcher who works from home, so my schedule is flexible throughout the week. I’m available for weekday care, weekends, drop-ins, walks, and overnight stays. Since I spend a lot of time at home, I’m able to give pets plenty of attention, companionship, and consistency. I’m happy to work around your pet’s usual routine so they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I currently offer care in my client’s home, where pets can stay comfortable in their own familiar environment. I’m very respectful of each home and each pet’s routine, and I’m happy to follow detailed instructions for feeding, walks, litter box care, playtime, medications, and any special needs. I’m also comfortable managing different household setups, including keeping pets separated when needed, handling multi-pet homes, monitoring doors/gates carefully, and making sure each pet feels safe, calm, and cared for.

About: I love all dogs! They are all so funny, each with their own fun personalities. I love to go for walks with the dogs, sometimes 2 at a time! When your pup is in my care my focus is on keeping them safe and happy! I am retired from working so I like to say that I am a stay at home dog Mom! When I am watching your dog, there is nothing more important to me than your fur baby’s safety and happiness. Since I am home full time I am available for your pup 24/7! I do occasionally leave the house but usually not longer than an hour or two. I have a large fenced in yard and a sweet, fun 2 year old Lab mix who loves to play with dogs of all ages and sizes. I have a 5 month old grand puppy and Reba loves playing with her!

I have cared for dogs of every size, flavor, and temperament. I have extensive experience training dogs, and quite frankly, I've watched a whole lot of Westminster dog show. In particular, I have specialized experience with shy or nervous dogs and will provide them the space and understanding needed to relax and feel comfortable. I am happy to walk or jog to help burn canine energy. Not afraid to get down in the dirt and play! I have been deeply involved in cat rescue since 2020, when I began working remotely. I have fostered dozens of cats over the years. This includes kittens with complex medical issues. I am very capable at medicating cats and kittens as well as identifying when a cat may be feeling unwell. When you board with me, your pet will not be left alone for more than 1 hour. I only board pets from one household at a time and provide dedicated personal care. When your baby is at my house, they are family. Feel free to reach out with any additional questions. I'm currently working remotely doing project-based contract work, so I have plenty of availability and scheduling flexibility. If boarding or house-sitting, I will be fully available and no pet will be left alone longer than an hour. I have a friendly chihuahua mix (8 lbs) and 2 cats, but if needed, I have plenty of room to give everyone their own space. I have an unfenced backyard with plenty of room to romp. Dogs will always be leashed or tethered in yard.

Because I am available throughout the day, dogs receive regular supervision. I have a securely fenced yard where dogs can safely go outside for potty breaks and exercise. I am comfortable reinforcing crate training when needed and believe crates are a valuable tool for safety and routine. My own dogs are crate trained and are crated when they cannot be directly supervised to ensure their safety and prevent unwanted behaviors. About: Unfortunately my dog Buster recently passed away and the house is so quiet without any pets so I have lowered my prices to make services more available and increase chances of getting to spoil your dog! I’ve taken care of dogs small and medium dogs for over 15 years. I have a flexible work from home job so your dog will be with me 24/7 during their stay! I have a lot of experience with long term stays! I only accept one customer at a time to ensure I offer the best individualized focus, love, and care that your dog(s) deserves! Lastly, I maintain Buster’s Fi tracker subscription renamed as Buster’s friends. This is an optional free service that I offer. I have different sized collar attachments so that your dog can wear it during their stay. This allows me to share access to your dogs statistics and location during their stay if it will help to ease any anxieties you may have! I have a flexible work from home job Monday-Friday. I am able to take your dog out for walks as often as needed. I will not leave your dogs side throughout their entire stay! Dogs do not have any limitations in our home so they are welcome to roam freely and snuggle up on the most comfortable couch or bed they can find! We have a fully fenced backyard with doggy door access to allow unlimited bathroom trips and plenty of room to play!

About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of dogs (and other animals!) for many years. Family, friends, and co-workers have relied on me to watch and care for their pets whether it’s walking, feeding, playing, even taking them to the vet. I’ve taken care of dogs of all sizes and ages, from senior bull mastiffs to pugs under a year old. There is no dog too big or too small because they’re all perfect to me. I’ve also found lost dogs and helped them return to their owners! I have experience caring for anxious dogs, blind dogs, deaf dogs, dogs with mobility issues, and dogs that require medication. Other animals I’ve taken care of include: cats, parrots, guinea pigs, fish, rabbits, and hamsters. Pets are so precious, they’re such an important source of joy in their family’s lives so it’s such a privilege to be trusted with their care!! :) Pet sitting is currently my full time job, so I have lots of time to give your animals the special care and attention they deserve! I have a fenced in yard which is perfect for dogs to run around in. I also have a car so I’m able to take dogs to the dog park or dog beaches nearby (if that’s something they would enjoy). At a client’s house I still follow any guidance/schedule given to me. In between I typically take the dog’s lead. I’m at their house so it’s important to me that I respect their space (and the clients above all)! I like to take their cues to make sure that their sense of routine isn’t disrupted.
