About: We have a grumble of two pugs, two kids (8 and 9) I work from home so I have the time to take them out all day. We have had our pugs since they were babies, except for our late rescue who became paralyzed and needed our help with both urinary and fecal expression, as well as medications administered. We are experienced with puppies to older special needs dogs. We do not, at the time, feel comfortable with having aggressive breed of dogs in our home with our grumble of pugs or our children. We have a ranch home with no carpet, it is a very pet friendly home with a fenced yard as well. We are happy to help you with your fur babies too!~ Iâm always home other than quick trips out to run the kids to sports or errands as I work at home so able to take them out very frequently Our yard is fenced, scenic view on a large pond, and extremely dog and kid friendly Our dogs and kids love to keep younger dogs busy and senior dogs cozy. They will feel right at home during their stay with us!
About: My name is Hannah, and I've been taking care of pets since a very young age. I love going on walks, no matter what the weather is, I will walk in any kind of weather just as long as the dog will walk. I like to take my time and build the pet's trust, even when they are shy at first. I always make sure I understand the information that is given to me. I love it when a pup gets used to seeing me, remembers my car, and gets so excited to see me. I did move from IL to Indiana, and i do have about 4 acres to run around to get some energy out. I use to work at a doggy day care. I stay at home taking care of any animal that i have for a petting sitting when i do not have a pet sitting I try to look for walks to meet new pets I have a fenced-in yard and also have about 4 acres of land. I take the pups out to use the bathroom and run them around to tire them out

âSydney looked after my 2 cats while I was on a camping trip. She took excellent care of my pets, was on time and thorough with the care instructions. Sydney has a warm personality, is very professional and communicates well.â

âAshley was fantastic! I didn't feel any fear or anxiety with her taking care of Apollo. I loved the photos I got and the little report card he got each day. Thank you again and I hope to use you again in the future.â
âApril is fantastic! Everything from start to finish was flawless. Her communication is great, she asks the right questions, and took great care of my dogs. My puppy can be a lot and she was great with her. I'll definitely book again!â

About: Hi! I have cared for dogs technically my whole life since I grew up with them. When I went to college I got a dog of my own and have had another since then. I love going on walks and playing with dogs. I am a part time nanny, but go on a walk every morning, afternoon, and evening. On top of that I do potty breaks first thing in the morning and before bed. I have a puppy proofed home since I have a pup of my own. I donât have a fence but know how to get a dogâs energy out by playing however their style is and am good assessing what a dog needs.

About: I absolutely love animals so much! My day revolves around caring for my pets and my children. All my life I have always had pets to love and care for. One day I dream to have a non profit animal rescue. I love animals of all shapes and sizes! Dogs have always been in my life since I was a child. Now my two boys love to help care for our animals just as I did! Going on walks are one of our favorite things to do with our dogs. And long cuddles in my bed! Your dogs would be cared for just like they were my own and you would never have to worry that your baby went without love and attention in my care!

About: My experience has been mostly my family and friends. I have taken their animals on walks, bathed them, fed them, played with them. Took them to parks and even trained them on new skills. Since I just graduated I have very open availability and ready to help. I am very organized and dependable, I value time management, my career/education, and most importantly taking care of people and animals. I am currently waiting for the new school year to roll around and continue my education so my schedule is free. I wake up early to work out but that time can be flexible depending on if I have a pet to watch. I keep the animals on the schedule they are used to. Feed them, fill water, walks, clean behind them, playtime, medicine if they need. Also litter box maintenance for cats. Also making sure weâre safe in the house and my phone near me to contact the owners if needed.
âOnce again I have had a great experience with Crystal taking care of my cat. Her timeliness, care, and communications is what will have me hoping to be able to use her services whenever I need them!â

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Cedar Lake
We had a wonderful experience with our dog sitter Heather while we were away on vacation. She took excellent care of our dog and gave us peace of mind knowing our pet was in such capable and caring hands. We especially appreciated the thoughtful photo updates she sent, which made us smile and helped us feel connected while we were away. It was clear she genuinely cared about our dog's happiness and well-being during each visit. We would gladly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate, and trustworthy pet sitter.

Monica is fantastic! She was available last minute and able to come extra sessions when we found out we weren't able to get back in time from out of town. She leaves the place in great shape and sends pictures at every visit. We are so blessed to have found her!
Katelynn did a great job! She arrived at the time I requested. She took lots of pics & let me know how my fur babies did during her visit. Our meet & greet confirmed to me her committment to the care & love of animals she has! I would definitely recommend her for any pet lover in need of top-notch care!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
