Availability
I currently travel occasionally to instruct about drug impaired driving, so my schedule is fairly wide open for any pets that need visiting or a good walk! I am a night owl, so don't be afraid to ask for late visits.

I will make sure to follow any instructions or boundaries you lay down while I am dropping by your house. I will try to be as unobtrusive as possible and won't make myself at home unless you insist.
Information Heather H. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if I should expect anything out of the ordinary and what their energy/reactivity level is. If they're afraid or wary of certain things, I'd also like to know that.
A typical day
On a walk, your dog and I can just simply walk or we can go to a park to do some playing. I have walked cats in the past, so as long as you've got a slip proof harness (my first cat was a Houdini), I'll give it a go! On a drop in visit for cats, I'll read their language and do as much as they're allowing to. I'll make myself scarce if that's what they're displaying. However, if you'd prefer me to hang in the house for the rest of the time just so they've got a human with them for a little bit, I will. Dogs will definitely get some hands on attention and play time as they want. And all of them will get talked to like they're fluent in English (and maybe French).

Surprise visit,I hope they like me!
Pet care experience
I've been caring for cats on my own since I was 18. I know when to leave them alone (clean litter and do food/water, no hunting down) and when to engage them (the essential care, plus cat play time). I've been caring for my own dog for 10 years (GSD, way too clever) and have some experience with smaller dogs. I was able to meet a LOT of dogs in my last full time job, and I can't think of any breed I've been uncomfortable around. Note: I am not currently available for reoccurring walks (meaning, for instance, twice a week repeating weekly until you don't need me anymore).
Reviews

Heather is great as always. She was able to accommodate for a last minute trip and always provides a summary that would make any pet parent feel at ease. Thanks Heather!!!

Heather did an amazing job taking care of our elderly Maine Coon at the last minute. Will definitely request her services in the future.

Heather does so great with our anxious dog and it helps us knowing she’s in good hands.

Heather did a wonderful job taking care of our dog. He is a little anxious dog and she was very good with him. Our dog liked her immediately and was letting go her pet and play with him. I would definitely recommend Heather as a professional and caring dog sitter.
