“Even thought this was his first visit to Michelle, Rusty was very comfortable wth Michelle and her family. He seemed relaxed and happy when we picked him up. I am sure he enjoyed the large fenced back yard.”

“This was pups first away adventure from us & she is 8. Cindy did a phenomenal job giving me daily update with pictures of how Harley was doing. She was patient with me when I had questions before the booking. Thank you!!”

“We highly recommend Joel & Janelle! They helped us in a pinch when our sitter had to cancel super last minute. This was our first time using Rover and it definitely won’t be the last. I was really nervous going out of our comfort zone especially while being out of town but Joel and Janelle responded quickly, answered all questions and took great care of our girl. We even got super cute pictures! They both were very kind and accommodating. Highly recommend! Thank you again Joel and Janelle! We really appreciate everything!”

“Haejin was amazing!! I loved how she always sent me pictures and videos and kept me updated! I felt such relief knowing that they were in very good hands.”

“I can't say enough wonderful things. Katherine very appropriately vetted my dog to make sure he would be a good match with other dogs prior to agreeingto have our guys stay for a week. She sent me lots of pictures and updates throughout the week putting my mind at ease that everything was going well. The space is wonderful with lots of room and he came back home exhausted from playing with new friends. Our dog did not come home with any issues picked up from a new environment or new dogs. This was an absolutely wonderful experience and I have full trust in leaving our dog with Katherine.”

“My little companion was well careful forward by Linda. She provided me with almost a daily report on my companions, activities and well-being. I would recommend the Linda to someone who has a senior dog and wishes a trustworthy person to care for her. C”

“Bella is the best. My Summit was well taken care of for the week. Daily pics and videos helped bridge that gap of separation. Highly recommend and will be using her again in the near future.”

“If you're ever looking for a place for your fur kids to stay while you go out of town, I highly recommend Laura. I have 2 neurotic cats; 1 has CH that does not like getting confined in crates/small place and the other is spicy/moody. The stay was short with a (somewhat) unusual request, but Laura took them all in stride and went the extra mile to look after Sam and Cloud. Definitely one of my best rover experience and would not hesitate to ask her again in the future.”

“Tamara is wonderful. This is our second time using her services. It was wonderful knowing that the dogs were safe and that we didn’t have to worry about them! She was also incredibly flexible and accommodating!”

“I couldn’t be happier with the care Tara provided for my husky, Rocky! Huskies can be a handful, but she handled him perfectly — keeping him exercised, happy, and well-loved while she was boarding him. She sent regular updates and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. When I picked him up, Rocky was calm, clean, and clearly well cared for.”

“Super friendly folks! Highly recommended! I was at Buffalo Gap for a dance retreat. I could’ve taken my pup, but I was grateful to have my time—knowing she was well taken care of! Other dogs were there and they all got along great! Thank you!!!!”

“Heather was great! Kept me informed on how my dog Cody was doing and sent pics of him with her dogs. Cody seemed to love her Lab. Lots of room to run in her fenced in back yard. Will definitely use her again!”

“Michelle is the friendliest and most accommodating dog sitter we’ve ever had. We appreciate her for taking good care of Max. We highly recommend and would avail her service in the future”
“David has a very comfortable home environment. He and his roommate took great care of Sandy during her stay there. We have booked for another time frame in January too. Location is convenient. There is a nice fenced in yard, so that's a major plus if your dog likes to run free. Definitely recommend David. Great value.”

“Arlene is awesome!!! I live between San Francisco and New Bern, and I occasionally need dog care / boarding. I will always reach out to Arlene. She's a beautiful person and she takes such good care of the doggies!!!!!”

“Jessica made sure our two dogs had a great time. She got them toys, helped with potty training, and treated them like her fur babies! She’s got a whole room just for the dogs and cares deeply for animals. It was nice getting to know Jessica and her beautiful boy Koda! Thoughtfully priced, very personable, and truly loves watching the dogs”

“Christina was wonderful in taking care of Lilo. She attended well to her needs and gave her extra treats in spoiling her. She communicated well and gave me updates of Lilo on a daily basis and throughout the day.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Cedar Hill
Laura is so enthusiastic to care for your pets and they love her right back. She was so attentive to our Mika. Her place is perfect for dogs quiet, country location with a large fenced in area to explore. When we stopped by for our meet and greet, cottontail bunnies were hopping along the driveway into her place. The environment is healthy and clean. We received many photos showing how our Mika was settling to the new environment. Laura was as intuitive with us as much as our dog. She did everything to help us feel at ease in leaving our dog with her. We felt Laura cared for Mika as if she was her own. So happy to find a wonderful and caring place like Laura’s home.

Linda took our last minute booking right before the holidays. She had us come out for a meet and greet before our trip and made us feel so welcome. She did a great job with our dog and sent us daily updates. She was awesome and we highly recommend her to anybody looking for a dog sitter!! Thank you for such a great experience!

Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
98% of sitters in Cedar Hill can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Cedar Hill.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in VA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
