“Once again, Cindy was the best! My dog was happy to see Cindy. She treats my dog like one of the family. She makes sure she’s fed, walked, and sends me pictures and a note. I couldn’t ask for a better sitter. Cindy is the best!!”

“Blitz had a great time with Alexys. He's an Aussie puppy with endless energy, and she gave him so much time outside to run and play. He was so happy when we came to pick him up.”

“Gabby took great care of my Bonnie girl while we were away on vacation. She asked good questions during our meet and greet. I am so glad that she was willing to have Bonnie as the only dog in the house for the majority of the 2 weeks we were away. Bonnie doesn't get along with many other dogs, so when her stay overlapped with another dog that was there for a couple days before her, Gabby immediately let us know and was prepared to keep them separated. Gabby gave us frequent updates and pictures that helped reassure us that she was doing well. All of the instructions I left for her feeding were followed exactly as well. I am so grateful that we were able to enjoy our vacation knowing that Bonnie was being taken care of as if I were there myself.”

“Bella is the best. My Summit was well taken care of for the week. Daily pics and videos helped bridge that gap of separation. Highly recommend and will be using her again in the near future.”

“Linda is a wonderful lady and I would 100% book a stay for Lucy with her again! She sent me updates throughout Lucy's visit and was very gentle and sweet with my timid girl. I could tell that Lucy had warmed up to her when I picked her up and she rubbed on Linda and licked her hands. Lucy tends to not want to eat if she stays somewhere without me and Linda made sure she figured out how to get her to do so. Lucy got plenty of belly rubs and lots of love during her stay! Thank you, Linda, for taking such great care of my little girl!”

“Even thought this was his first visit to Michelle, Rusty was very comfortable wth Michelle and her family. He seemed relaxed and happy when we picked him up. I am sure he enjoyed the large fenced back yard.”

“Jessica was the perfect fit for my two babies. The minute the got out of the car they were exploring. Tails up! She has a wonderful space for animals to run and play outside and plenty of room inside as well. Her home is clean and inviting. She sent frequent updates and pictures. It was evident my doggies had a blast. I'm very thankful to have found her. I would give her 10 🌟 She's above and beyond a great sitter 🙌”

“Lori agreed to sit our pup Rowena, who we had only had for about 3.5 weeks by the time of our trip, and we were fairly nervous about leaving her so soon! However, Lori was so friendly and excited about meeting/watching her, and she and James were clearly very attentive and encouraging to her for the duration of the stay, even as she was more reserved and shy than at home. Lori communicated throughout the stay and sent a happy Weena home with a neckerchief and a bone. We hope Weena can visit again soon! Thanks so much, Lori. ??”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my lifelong experience and genuine passion for animals of all sizes and personalities. I have cared for many dogs of various breeds & sizes throughout my life and currently have three dogs and two cats at home. Besides cats & dogs, I have also cared for rabbits, guinea pigs, parakeets, hamsters, chickens, goats, and sheep! For the past two years, I have also volunteered at the SPCA in Winchester, gaining hands-on experience with pets of all ages, temperaments, and care needs. I am confident working with playful puppies, senior pets, and everyone in between. I am patient, outgoing, and truly love providing animals with the care and attention they deserve. I am a student at Virginia Tech, so I have availability here and there throughout the day! I am also available most evenings/nights for longer periods of time. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or a client’s, I prioritize safety, trust, and comfort above all else. At my home, pets enjoy a fully fenced-in backyard for safe outdoor play, a walkable neighborhood for daily walks and fresh air, and a spacious deck that’s perfect for lounging and sunbathing. Inside, animals are treated like family in a clean, pet-friendly space with constant attention and care. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always respect their routines and space, ensuring their pets feel secure, loved, and well cared for in their own environment.
“Kalley is an amazing sitter. She took awesome pictures and updated me daily on how my baby was doing. Thank you so much Kalley. We’ll be booking with again soon!”

“Barbara did a wonderful job caring for our dog. She provided daily photo updates and consistent communication, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. Our dog was clearly well cared for and happy. I would absolutely book Barbara again and highly recommend her.”

“Chris watched my dog, Francine while I was away and I can’t recommend him enough. He and his mom treated her like she was their own and provided daily updates and photos throughout her stay. It was a great experience and the most comfortable I’ve felt leaving my dog with someone else. If you need a trustworthy pet sitter, your dog will be in great hands with Chris.”

“Linda, her family, and her homeare incredible. I had to leave town for work only two weeks after getting my puppy and was so nervous, but Linda was great. You can tell that she and her family are experienced with and love having dogs. She kept me updated and my puppy got to play with all the other dogs at Linda’s house. Great socialization, I know she was well-loved and had a great time!”
“Erin was great with Scout! She gave us plenty of updates and pictures of him while we were at my brothers wedding at The View at Bluemont! It was nice to know he was loved and got plenty of attention while we were away for weekend. I am sure he will miss them!”

We couldn’t have asked for a better Rover sitter! Luna is an extremely shy and sensitive dog, so leaving her is never easy, but she was so well cared for and genuinely seemed happy and comfortable in her home. She was kind, patient, incredibly communicative, and kept us updated throughout our trip, giving us complete peace of mind. It was obvious Luna was treated like family and received so much love and attention. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for an exceptional, trustworthy sitter, and we’ll absolutely book with her again and again!

I can’t say enough great words about Cindy. She took great care of our precious Hank. She sent photos during his stay. She responded quickly and so friendly to our text whenever we checked in. Our fur baby was treated like her own during our vacation. 150% would recommend Cindy to care for your baby and would use her again and again!

Linda took our last minute booking right before the holidays. She had us come out for a meet and greet before our trip and made us feel so welcome. She did a great job with our dog and sent us daily updates. She was awesome and we highly recommend her to anybody looking for a dog sitter!! Thank you for such a great experience!

Many sitters in VA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
