“Ashley really seems to love animals and she took great care of our very high energy dog. They walked daily and when we arrived back home, it was just the way we had left it. Ashley also went above and beyond and overnighted us legal documents. She will be the first sitter that we call when we go on our next trip.”

“Meredith always does a great job with our 4 dogs. When I come home the dogs are happy and act like I never left which is a great thing. We will continue to use her on a regular basis!”

“I would highly recommend this fantastic duo. We used their services for overnight sitting with our pups and cat. My husband and I felt comfortable leaving them attend to our fur babies at our home and will use their services again. They went above and beyond by purchasing a replacement toy for one of our pups since her favorite toy broke while we were gone and didn’t want our pup to go without.”

“Lyndsay was great! She sent me pics of my pups and kept me informed while I was away. My German Shepherd pup is large and full of energy and she handled it like it was no big deal! Left my house in great shape! Will definitely book again.”
“Dimecia was wonderful with my girl Darcy! She came for a meet and greet before even on a last minute request! She sent pictures of her visit and updated me about my girl. She spent time snuggling and giving belly rubs in the evening just like my baby loves! I could tell Dracy felt the love and made a friend for life! I will definitely be using Dimecia again in the future .”

About: I have been a pet sitter for up to five dogs at a time, and the best compliment I've ever gotten is those dogs were more relaxed than when the family left! I am okay working with pets who have medical/special needs. Currently, this is my only job, though I do take online classes in the evening. This means I can give your pets the time they deserve! Your fur baby's health, safety, and comfort is my top priority! I'll follow your directions to the letter to make sure they're okay and comfortable-medication, time in and out, sleeping arrangements, and everything else!

“We were nervous about leaving our 6 month old puppy for the first time since he joined our family. As a matter of fact nobody other than a family member had ever kept our first 2 pets except a family member. Amy made us very comfortable with her personality and enthusiasm for Jack as soon as we met her. She is loving and conscientious of her work. We got plenty of updates and photos which were so reassuring. Amy handled any issues without having to call us on. . We know our little Jack misses his Aunt Amy but he will see her again as soon as we plan our next weekend trip.”

“Ty did an amazing job! We have quite a house full of dogs and cats and she was able to manage all of them beautifully. All my dogs couldn’t get enough love and attention from her while she was at our home. Ty has a natural gift when it comes to caring for animals and I couldn’t recommend her more to anyone needing a house sitter for your fur babies!”

“Brooke was phenomenal! She and our skittish little dog, Bingo, hit it off right away during a "meet & greet". She took great care of Bingo, sending us pictures & updates on a regular basis. we were able to fully enjoy our 10 day trip, knowing our home and fur baby were in such good hands. We will definitely want Brooke back the next time we leave town.”

“Jennifer was amazing with our three dogs! She sent photos of them often and let me know they were having fun and being taken care of. She is very communicative and informative, she also left the house VERY clean which was a pleasant surprise when we returned from our trip. Jennifer is awesome and we plan to rebook with her in the future!”

About: I am a former K9 handler of the United States Air Force. I like to keep my home loving, safe, sanitary, and fun! I have 6+ years of experience in caring and training dogs. I stay at home on the weekends unless I am running errands. My pets are 75% outside and 25% inside dogs at the moment. They will be inside during heat season and outside during winter because their breed. I make individual care plans depending on the breed and what the individual canine is used to.

About: I have previous experience in dog, cat, and house sitting. I’ve had several pets throughout my life and all have lived long healthy lives in my care. I currently volunteer with House of Mews on a weekly basis. I have knowledge and experience in caregiving, bathing, and administering medicine. My home is unfortunately unavailable for boarding. But I’m comfortable taking care of pets in all types of environments and don’t mind traveling with them in my car if you’d like me to enrich their day at a dog park or on a nature trail.
“Mikayla was very professional and able to watch the animals last minute. I’m not sure if the expectations were unclear, but she arrived late for the house sitting and then the only updates I received were a few blurry pictures for the weekend of my 2 dogs and cat. When I asked how they were doing she said they were doing good…as a pet sitter myself and the fact that I emphasized that I wanted updates, I hoped that she would have told me when my dog didn’t eat and updates on everyone. Fix that and I’d give her 5 stars!”

About: Growing up, I’ve always had a dog in the house. I’ve always loved dogs and growing bonds with them, even if they aren’t mine! I’m willing to help care for your dog and house as much as needed! I am a college athlete, so I am mostly open up to July. In July, I’ll be able to housesit on the weekend, but during the week I’ll be free after 12 to come to Memphis and let the dogs out as needed. My dog loves to cuddle and play outside. Dogs seem to really like me, as I am very calm and love all dogs. I’ll get up and play with them outside or even cuddle if they want!
“Brittney was awesome !!!! My dogs loves her from the minute they met her. She took good care of all my babies . She sent photos and updated me along the way!!! I would definitely recommend her and will use her again.”

About: I've always been into nature, animals, insects and pets. My grandmother would always joke and say that I should be a Veterinarian when I grow up. Between playing with earth worms, petting any dog I see or spoiling my own pups, I love people and I love their animals and pets. For the past decade, having to care for other's pets never felt like a chore. It remains the foundation of my desire to join Rover. Even after being bitten by an unsuspecting, unpredictable pit bull, I will continue being a dog lover. I have been a pet caregiver since I was a teen. Now that I've discovered Rover, I can take this to the next level. I'm actually late to the Rover party! I currently have open availability as of August 2026. That could be changing to part-time availability soon. I will update my availability as needed. I am devoted to absolute safety and trust. I promise to treat you, your property and furry family members with the same love, attention and care that I would treat my own.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 474 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Cayce. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Cayce walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Cayce maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Cayce choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cayce. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
