“Jasmine has been wonderful. She does all the things that a Rover sitter is supposed to do. She loves my dog and two cats. She takes cute pics of them. She's on time. She's reliable. She's trustworthy.”

“Tammi is lovely she took great care of Callie during her visits, filled out the report card and left purposefully feedback and photos too! 10/10. I would not hesitate to rebook when needed. Thanks again Tammi for all your care and being you!”

“Linda did a wonderful job caring for my Buzzy and Kitty. The daily communications were so helpful. I knew they were in good hands. I would recommend Linda to everyone. Thank you!”

About: I have grown up with pets my whole life. We have always had 2 dogs, a cat and a chinchilla. I also grew up watching my neighbors and families pets as a teenager. I more recently within the last 2 years have started more seriously watching a family friends dogs. There is 3 of them of all different sizes so I have gotten used to dealing with many pets at once! My schedule is pretty flexible. I work part time and my shifts vary week by week but they are usually between 6-8 hours long, maybe 3 times a week. Currently I have class on Fridays from 8-3, but other than that am very open. I take a lot of classes online so I can make them work around other things. I don’t do pet care at my house but I am more than happy to come to yours and stay for however long you need. If you have a fenced in yard or are ok with your pet being taken out on a leash that would be preferred.
“Nina gives 2 thumbs up for her sitter. They saved us after another sitter canceled the day before we needed a sitter, so thanks for stepping in on very short notice, Nina looks forward to future sittings.”

About: I have spent countless years caring for all shapes and sizes of animals. Anything from fish, to guinea pigs, to horses, and all in between. I currently work full time, but my employer is very flexible and understanding of my schedule, and allows me to do whatever is needed for the comfort of your furry friends. I spend countless hours in your home, with your fur babies, to ensure that they are able to run and play, just as they would if you were there. I strive to make their lives normal, just like it would be if you were home with them.
“Candice was absolutely perfect. She always gave me detailed updates and was very responsive with her messages. She went above and beyond my expectations. My boys were very well taken care of and very loved while I was gone. Will definitely be working with her again the next time I’m away.”

“Milena took great care of our cat while we were away. He looked forward to her daily visits. She was even kind enough to water my flowers during the hot weather. We look forward to booking her again.”

About: I have experience feeding, walking/hiking, cleaning after, and providing prescribed medications to indoor/outdoor dogs and cats. I am also willing to feed fish and have brief experience with turtles and frogs. I have random days and evenings that I can entirely dedicate to your fur babies, reptiles, and amphibians! Feel free to reach out and match availability. Let me help you, flexible! I am used to caring for multiple animals at once, including outdoor cats. Outdoor exploration and play is encouraged in my home. I always send a picture of their fur babies with a description of what happened after each visit.
“For the first time in 5 years since having our dog, we both had to be away for 5 days. Crux was a rescue dog with severe abuse issues whom we adopted from a rescue shelter. We booked with Alexandria. She was fantastic!! She cared for him with physical needs like food and water. She played with him and took him on long walks on our mountain property. She spent time with him out on the patio. She met his emotional issues. Due to his huge shedding issues, she dry mopped our floors. More so she instilled trust with a dog who had huge issues. There is no one better to trust care for your pet.”

About: I’m a compassionate and caring pet taker. I’ve grown up with cats and dogs, and I love caring for friends, family, and other peoples animals of various ages and sizes while they are away. I currently work remotely, so if you need me to stay for the day or over night, I have the flexibility to give your pet plenty of attention. I will also make sure your house is clean and in order when you return. Thank you for checking out my profile, and please reach out with any questions! I make sure your pet(s) are fed properly with the correct medications and that they always have plenty of water. I can easily crate your dog, if needed, and provide walks and playtime throughout the day.

About: I have been caring for dogs and cats, puppies and kittens for many years. I have raised my own dog from early puppyhood to mature adulthood and her social but controlled behavior and level of training quickly caught the eye of other dog owners with young dogs. I had spent years researching dog and cat behavior, dog training, and everything related to dog breed history and care. This knowledge, along with my passion for animals, allowed me to offer services like dog training, walking, sitting, and drop-in visits with confidence and excitement even as a young teenager. This confidence and excitement along with my knowledge has only grown since then. I have experience with large breeds like Dobermans and Great Danes as well as smaller breeds like Cavaliers. Energetic breeds like Labradors and high-drive breeds like Coonhounds. When I provide you my services, its not just taking care of you and your pet(s) needs, its a reassuring peace of mind. It's a genuine relationship built on trust. Its a pleasant interaction between you and I and a lavish experience for your pet. It's knowing that I am not only making your pet's day but he/she is making mine as well. That's the difference between simply getting a job done and ensuring the care that's provided is at the next level. The level I'd want for my own sweet pets. I am currently in a season of life that allows me to be flexible and able to go the extra mile in providing the best service around! I just graduated high school and am taking a gap year. Even though I am working another job as well, now is a good opportunity to get involved in caring for your pet's various needs. I am a quick learner and am able to follow your instructions for how you prefer your pet to be cared for in your home. I can crate a dog if needed. I am able to fill your 30 minute time slot for drop-in visits with cuddles, playtime indoor and outdoor (whichever is preferred) and I understand that exercising your dog mentally is just as important as physically so I enjoy incorporating mentally stimulating factors into my visits. Training, finding treats, playing games etc.
“Isabel did an excellent job with my German shepherds. My dogs felt comfortable around her, she was very attentive and communicative throughout each drop in visit. Would highly recommend her!”

About: I have grown up with dogs my entire life. I have experience with both large and small dogs breeds. I currently have 2 dogs- a golden retriever and a lab mix. I work a full- time job Monday- Friday 7-3, I am available evenings and weekends. I have holidays off and will also be available then. My dogs have free roam of the house, including furniture and beds. My dogs are crate trained when I am not home. I am always excited to meet new fur babies and give them all the love as if they were my own!
About: My entire life pretty much I've grown up around animals! I've had different rodent, and currently have 2 cats. The last 10ish years my family and I have cat/dog sat for multiple family members and friends. The last year I've cat sat for my neighbor multiple times. As far as regular work goes, I'm only doing part-time due to the limit on how many hours are being given. I'm also not enrolled in school, so my schedule has more than enough time to fit in some extra pet care. I have experience with giving medication (mostly pills), so if your fur baby has meds that are needed to be given, I'm more than willing. Like a lot of animals, I enjoy basking in the sun. So, taking your animals on long walks isn't an issue either. Your animals needs are my priority.
“So happy that I found Abbie! She did an awesome job checking on/taking care of my kitty Milo while I was on travel. She followed all my instructions and even spent extra time with him to give him some love. I also appreciated how detailed Milo’s River Card was and the pictures! I will definitely book with her again! Thanks Abbie! :)”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cashtown. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 93% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
