Pet Sitting in Casco

About: Pets have always been a big part of my life, gaining responsibility with them as I grew up. I have two family dogs currently: a 14-year-old medium-sized rescue mutt and a 7-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog that I love and cherish! I also have one cat. I have helped in caring for and training them for quite a few years. I am used to following feeding schedules and I love a good dog walk. I have basic training skills and also have experience dealing with minor behavioral issues. I also have helped care for my older siblings' dogs (both of them have sweet Golden Retrievers) and my aunt's two labs. I love all of these dogs (and my cat) and I would love yours too! I am currently self-employed, so I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule. Occasionally I work weekends and would be away, but I will update my Rover availability as that comes about. I am open to stays of any length because of my current schedule! I am not able to offer stays in my own home, but I am available to stay at your home and care for your dogs there. I have reliable transportation so I can commute to and from your home as needed. I will keep your pets company in a space that is familiar and comfortable to them.

About: My first Jobs as a child were farm sitting for my neighbors and working on an angora rabbit farm. I have always loved and cherished animals. Animals have been drawn to me my whole life. I developed my skills going into the veterinary field as a technician, I've worked with large animals horses , pigs, cows, llamas , alpacas , tortoise , lizards , snakes, monkeys, even helped in surgery on a lion. I have experience with medications , injections, transdermal , and oral medications . Also subcutaneous fluids . I also have experience with handicapped animals that may need bladder expressions or need potty walks in wheel chairs , experience with this is work and I also had my own wheel chair bound dog. I'm honest and would let you know if I'm not comfortable or feel qualified enough to take care of your babies I will let you know. I've been in the veterinary field over 25 years. I've worked in general practice , urgent care , and specialty /emergency . On weekends I'm available to house/pet sit pretty much anywhere within Maine and even possibly NH , of course allowing me time to get there . Try me I'm always up for a road trip extra fees may apply . Weekends for me are Friday after 6 pm through Tuesday morning when I head out to work . During my work week Tuesday morning through Friday . If you have dogs that need to be let out mid day , you need to be within a 10 minute drive from Warren ave in Portland . That way I can go let them out on my lunch break . If you have cats only or other pets that do not need midday care I can house sit /pet sit anywhere within an hour from Portland Maine . I can travel back and forth to work but be there at night and morning to take care of your pets needs . Always reach out if this doesn't make sense . Your pets care is priority and I will try to help you out but if my availability is not what is best for your friends I will be the first to let you know . I currently do not take pets into my home , just because I am not here most of the day . I will let people know if this changes

About: Who's a good dog? All of them. My step-dog is the love of my life, and I'm the person who talks to animals more than humans at a party. I have additional experience with: Dogs, cats, fish, rodents, horses, chickens, other birds, reptiles, and more. As a former field biologist, I handled a wide variety of animals and completed Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) training. I'm open to caring for almost any critter. About: With 30 years of experience, previous dog training, your pup, senior, any age dog is in caring and attentive hands. I interact, play, talk and walk your pet. They have my attention 24/7 full time. I don't split my attention with work from home job so your loved one has literally 24/7 attention! Let's meet or chat and say HI ! I have a small dog of my own, a little whipper snapper Klee Kai who is a retired service dog. But he respects older dogs too. I am a good pet human to those I am caring for. Your dog has safe and spacious areas to play and there are walking/snowmobile trails very close by where I take longer walks 3-4 times a day weather permitting and depending on your dog's energy level . I have had hens, rabbits, dogs, birds, farm animals and plenty of other critters over the years so am very accustomed to caring for animals on a daily basis. I have dog training experience. Your dog must be house trained, spayed or neutered and know basic commands,be non aggressive and leash trained and have topical flea/tick treatment and be up to date on all vaccinations. Unless you direct, I don't put pets in a crate though I do have 2 available if you prefer I use it at night. Your pet is with me 24/7 so has company and supervision. I have a fully fenced area but it's NOT SUITABLE if your dog digs under fences or can jump a 4' fence! I live walking distance to really nice hiking/snow mobile trails. I keep dogs on a leash at all times except in my fenced area where they can stretch and for bathroom and play. I adjust my routine to your pet. This is my full time passion. I'm not a kid filling in time and do this because I absolutely love having your pup! I take your dog on multiple walks every day. If I am taking care of your pet in your home, they get the same attention while I'm at your home, though I do prefer boarding at my home. I require owners permission to transport your dog in my vehicle to the hiking trails since I won't cross any busier roads with any pet on a leash. It's safer to drive to them a few minutes away. Your pets are NEVER EVER left unattended and alone in my vehicle. Dogs must come clean (no bad or strong smells), food dishes, adequate food for the time they are with me, a favorite toy (though I have a full box of clean toys) and vet info in advance. PLEASE NOTE, DOGGY DAY CARE is any 8 hour period until 5:30 PM daily. Prefer 8:30 AM arrival but earlier is definitely possible too. After 8 hrs, it's an additional $10 hr. This site doesn't let me customize schedules with time frames. This is full time for me. Pick up/drop off is between 8:30AM - 5:30 PM but can be earlier or later with advance notice. Extended hours are available with prior notice and additional fee of $10 hr. Doggie day care is between 8:30AM- 5:30 PM (8 hrs per session between those hours. Day care is no more than 8 hrs for the flat daily rate. I have a fenced yard which pets are free to be in unleashed. My front deck is gated so pets can be outside under cover. Back deck is also enclosed into the pet area and has a roof.

About: My experience includes puppy training and group integration, command training, end of life palliative care, medicine administration, grooming, and lots of recreation/enrichment/engagement! As for dog types all are fur babies and I'll see that they are treated as such! Currently in-between full-time employment, ready to devote my time to the lovely care of our fur companions. I tend to be free on the weekends and the beginning of the week. I follow set instructions laid down by the owners, any preferences or quirks of individual pets will be accommodated for your pets' and your family comfort.

I integrate visiting pets with my own for socialization and play. Opportunity for off-leash adventures for dogs with great recall. I have a sizable, secluded yard away from traffic.

About: Much like others, I’ve been around dogs my whole life. My grandmother owned a pet sitting business while growing up. I loved getting to know different breeds and seeing the different traits they could have. Learning how to take care of them at a young age and how to comfort dogs who may struggle with new people was such a good learning experience. On the other hand, I have a 5 month old English springer spaniel puppy and have trained her myself. I’m excited to get my name out there and to meet your companion. I’m a new hair dresser, so my schedule is pretty open. I make my own schedule at the salon, so I am flexible with hours! There are 4 dogs in my home. All English springer spaniels. A senior female, 3 year old female, 2 year old male and 5 month old puppy. We live in a private area on acres of land. Our dogs run free while being supervised. When it comes to care in your home, every dog, home, owner, has different environments. So I will do whatever is instructed by the owner.

About: I’m Cody! I grew up with 3 dogs, and I worked at a dog daycare for over a year. I’ve done on and off pet-sitting and walking through craigslist and friends over the years as well. I have 2 cats and a rabbit at home, so I’m good with all different types of animals. I can do pet sitting, check ins, and walks. I have a car with a large backseat so I could also transport your pet to a park or a preferred walking trail if you’d like. I am available weekday mornings before 8am and afternoons after 4pm. About: Something that sets me apart is I have experience with cats recovering from surgery and procedures as well as administering medication in a gentle positive way. I work full time but have ample time on weekends and extra time during after work hours. I can also make time in mornings during the week before work! I will not be bringing pets into my home just for the safety and respect of my own cats. But in your home I would be happy to tend to litter and any other necessities to make the cat’s environment comfortable.

I have an 8 year old rescued lab mix and I love any opportunity to spend time with animals. I am a full time teacher looking for some work this summer. I am available most days of the week any time and some weekends (my rover schedule is up to date).
