Laura was an exceptional care taker of our older cat while we were away. She kept us updated regularly, sent the sweetest photos, and even checked on our property after we lost power during a storm. Knowing everything was taken care of gave us so much peace of mind. We are incredibly grateful for her care and kindness.

About: I will treat your dog or cat like family. I talk to all pets like they are my grandchildren! The joy from the attention they receive brings me joy too!! I am currently retired so I have a lot of flexibility with my schedule. I am extremely reliable and prefer to schedule in advance so I can plan accordingly. I can walk dogs in your neighborhood or play catch in a fenced in yard. Just let me know what your pet loves best and I will be sure to provide it!!

About: I often joke that I like animals more than people and with that being said, I can promise that I will love on your furbaby as if they were my own. My Chihuahua-Jack Russell recently crossed over the rainbow bridge and my house has been too quiet. This opportunity with Rover will bring some joy back to my life, hopefully with a side of snuggles. I’ve been watching cats & dogs since I was a pre-teen. I grew up in a house with 2 cats, as well. I work Monday-Friday, but I have plenty of time on the weekends to walk and play with your dog. I am open to house-sitting at your residence if that is better for the animals. I'm available 24/7 for boarding at my house, as long as your pup is crate-trained and okay being home alone for 6-8 hours as I do work full time Monday-Friday. Same hours go for housesitting at the pet's home. I have lots of space to roam in the house. Couch and bed are free spaces. If your pet prefers to be crated at night, I am happy to do so. At your house, I am happy to follow all rules set in place.

About: I have years of experience caring for animals, from dogs to cats & rabbits. Pet care is an area that I am thrilled to be now pursuing on a higher level. Animals have captured my heart for years, and this is something that will not change now or in the future. I am someone who pays attention to details and always has animal welfare at the forefront of my mind. I do not doubt that I am someone to be trusted with your animals. I look forward to potentially working with you! I am fortunate in that I have a fairly flexible routine currently. This allows for pet care jobs and responsibilities to be easier to take on. I am happy to watch your animals in your home if all checks out. What might it look like? I could stop by once or twice a day (‘depending) to make sure your pet(s) are well and everything is running smoothly. For example, I just wrapped up pet sitting for someone I know in the area & she gave me a spare key for her place. This is just what made sense & what she was comfortable with at the time. She left some realistic instructions for me & all went well. It was a win-win situation. You just need help with dog walking? I am happy to consider that as well!

I left my dog, Theo, with Kelsey and Forrest for a few hours, and definitely plan on using them again in the future! They were very accommodating, and facilitated a meet-up beforehand, so that Theo could get comfortable with them and their space before his stay. When I dropped him off, he didn’t even look back! Kelsey and Forrest are very trustworthy and obviously animal lovers.

About: I have grown up with dogs and have a soft spot for them. I have a four year old very high energy, playful but docile GSP. I will walk, watch, feed and create a stimulating environment for them! I work from home and have flexibility during the week to help out. I am also open most weekends for dog sitting or boarding . I will make sure pets are handled with love and care and will treat them as if they were my own. This might mean lots of belly rubs, snuggles and treats. My home has a fenced backyard and many dog beds and toys. I am happy to stay with your dog at his or her home if that is most comfortable for them and if my schedule allows.

About: Hi! I’m Alexa, a reliable, organized, patient, and caring animal lover who is excited to give your pets the same love and attention I would give my own. 🐾 I enjoy staying active and would love to take your dog on walks, adventures to the park, or simply provide comforting companionship at home. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pets, and I’ll always make sure they feel safe, cared for, and loved while you’re away. I can’t wait to meet your furry friend! 🐶🤍 I recently graduated with my BFA and am currently living in Grand Rapids with a flexible schedule until further notice ☀️ Since I have a lot more flexibility in my day-to-day routine, pet sitting is a perfect fit for me. I love being able to spend my time with animals, get outside for walks, and provide pets with the attention, care, and companionship they deserve. Whether your dog needs an active adventure, a little extra playtime, or just someone to keep them company while you’re away, I’m happy to make them a part of my daily routine! I am happy to provide everything your pet needs, including playtime, walks, feeding, bathroom breaks, baths, and plenty of companionship. I understand how important it is to come home to a happy, comfortable pet — and a clean space. My own dogs have a habit of getting into the trash when I’m away, so I know firsthand that unexpected messes happen. I’m more than willing to tidy up and make sure your home is left just as you’d want it.

Kaitlyn was very responsive prior to setting up services. Her daily updates and pictures were comforting and helpful for ensuring that our two elderly cats were doing well while we were gone. We had a minor issue on one visit with her gaining access to our home, and Kaitlyn was quick to help resolve. I would not hesitate to book her again in the future.

I had a great experience with our McKenzie! She dropped in to spend time with my puppy Barrett, and it was clear right away how comfortable and natural she is with dogs. She gave my pup plenty of attention, playtime, and care, which made a big difference in keeping him happy and stimulated while we were away. She was reliable and communicative! The best Rover experience I’ve had. I had peace of mind knowing Barrett was in good hands. I’ll definitely be booking with her routinely again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and great with dogs.

Thank you so much Kristopher! We have struggled to find good care for our Aussie when we go away and I am so thankful to have found Kristopher. The communication was great, he is undaunted by my dog and willing to go with what the dog is used to at our home. In just this one interaction, I felt our families had similar values and this made leaving Jesse in his care very comfortable. There were some fun extras to the visit and Jesse was very well cared for. Thankful and hopeful for get-aways to come. Great experience all the way around.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Pet Sitting in Cascade on Rover is $19.98 per visit (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Pet Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Pet Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 1,562 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across Cascade. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Cascade stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cascade. On Rover:

  • 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
