“This was my first time using a pet sitter on the app, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! She was super communicative throughout, which really helped put me at ease. I felt totally comfortable knowing she was there to check in and take care of Kiki. She would often stay longer than the required 30 minutes, which was really nice. Highly recommend!”

About: Dogs have been my constant companions throughout my life, and I've loved training and caring for them every step of the way. Currently volunteering with the La Plata County Humane Society has only deepened my commitment to animal welfare. Since I work from home, your pet will rarely be alone. I'll keep you connected with plenty of photos and updates, so you can enjoy your time away knowing your best friend is in loving hands. Since I work from home, your pet will rarely be alone. I do not have any hobbies or obligations that would take me away from them for more than a few hours. If your pet has any special needs, I am sure I can accommodate. I will care for your pets however you may wish! I love playing with dogs, taking them on walks or to the dog park, or simply lounging at home with them. If your pet has any special needs, I am sure I can accommodate.

About: My heart has always belonged to dogs. I grew up alongside many beautiful and loyal pets who I learned to care for. I have worked with senior dogs that require medications or special assistance. In 2022 I worked as a nanny and caretaker to a beautiful high energy shepherd that was a very stubborn walker. I learned to use commands, treats, and a head collar to help keep her in control so I could focus on the children during walks. I am so grateful to learn from the pets I work with. I have been able to apply much of what I learned from her training to teach my own stubborn pup to walk without ripping my arm off. I currently work as a daycare attendant at Happy Dog Daycare in Eureka. I love working with the huge variety of breeds and personalities that walk through the door everyday. I am pet CPR and First Aid Certified. Drop-In visits on weekdays will be available either 6am-12pm or 1pm-12am depending on my schedule for the week. Weekend visits may be scheduled anytime. Multiple visits may be booked each day. House sitting is available all week. I work during the week so pets must be able to be safely left unattended for up to 6 hours during the day. If your pet loves others and is fully vaccinated consider signing them up for Happy Dog Daycare for days you have to be away! (Will shuttle for existing clients. Subtract $14-22 from Rover price on days pet attends daycare. Client is responsible for daycare fees) Weekend pet sitting is open, I can be available 24/7 to care for your pet and home! HOUSESITTING - I am happy to accommodate your pet's specific routine as well as provide playtime and outings. Let's chat about your pup's needs so we can ensure they can have a fear free booking!. I want to ensure your pet is as comfortable and loved as possible while you're away. DROP-IN VISITS - 30 minutes typically includes feeding, changing water, potty break, and playtime. I am open to doing short 10-15 minute walks during drop-ins. 1 hour drop-in visits include feeding, changing water, walk and playtime suited to your dog’s needs. I suggest 1 hour visits if your dog is high energy or needs extra attention.

About: I am a working professional that will be doing this for some fun and extra income. This will be my first time doing pet care for people I do not know. In the past I have helped friends and neighbors when they were leaving town by watching their animals. In the past I ran my own cleaning business and often did minimal animal care while cleaning homes. I have a dog myself (Indie) and can understand the stress that comes with hiring a pet sitter or kenneling your pet. I hope I can help to provide a stress free option for pet care. You can be confident your animal will be getting the best possible care while you are away. I am offering walks in your neighborhood or longer hikes in the area accompanied by my dog, drop-in visits, and overnight sitting at your home. I wish I could offer boarding at my house but my landlord will not allow other dogs in my home. If you have any questions or would like to learn more about me please don't hesitate to contact me!

“I cannot recommend Patricia highly enough. This was my first time using Rover, and it was an emergency. I was leaving town for a long-planned and non-optional trip when my neighbor was admitted to the hospital, leaving me with less than 24 hours to find someone else to care for my three cats. Patricia stepped up once I found her through Rover. She accepted the assignment within minutes, and then guided me by text through the application and scheduling process (which is very thorough but could be more user-friendly IMO). She showed up every day and stayed in close contact with me. She even watered my plants. Thanks, Patricia!”

About: Hello! My name is Kimberly and I would love to be your dog sitter! I love to play/walk and take care of dogs. They seem to love when I give them my full attention! I've had dogs my entire life and I'm very comfortable giving them the care they need. I've dog sat in New Jersey for a few years and then when I moved to Durango, I found more wonderful pets to hang out with. I’ve always had great experiences. I'm really good at following any type of schedule you may have for your pets. Currently, I'm pretty available, I'm teaching yoga part time and can bounce around to take care of your pups needs! I actually find that the fact that I teach yoga, help when caring for dogs. I'm very mindful and loving when approaching dogs for the first time and they seem to warm up to me pretty quickly! I hope I get the opportunity to work with your dog :) I’m an artist so I have a lot of free time to spend with your pets! I work about 4 hours in my studio on studio days which are about 3/4 days a week. I care for pets in the clients home so they feel comfortable in their space. I learn their routines and take time to really get to know them. When walking dogs, I make sure to watch for how they’ll react to other dogs/humans and make sure they are safe and happy.

“Vera is very awesome. She was very responsive, got back to me right away with all communication. She took great care of my pup and even send pics. I would absolutely use her again. Can’t say enough good things!!”

About: I've taken care of dogs and cats of all kinds since I was ten years old. I love spending time with animals, giving them love and taking them for walks, hikes or even a swim. I am currently working part time so I have lots of flexibility to take care of your animals at your house or mine during the day or night. I have a fenced front and backyard and a house with doggie doors that offer unlimited inside or outside time. I am near several trails and love to walk or hike. I am currently working part-time Monday through Thursday afternoons. The rest of the time I’m available to take care of your pets. My work hours are somewhat flexible. I have a fenced yard with a doggie door and a shaded porch. There is always water available inside and outside. And of course, I love to give snacks if allowed.

About: Hello! I live near Purgatory Ski Resort and work in town. I have a hybrid 4/day work schedule. I am very flexible and can come to your house or they can stay at mine. I love dogs and getting them out and about. I love taking fur babies on adventures downtown or up in the mountains :) I am currently working a hybrid office job which is very flexible. My days off are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and I work from home Tuesdays and Thursdays. I would plan to take them out for the day to get your pup some exercise. I don’t have a yard but I have a nice neighborhood to walk in.

About: I’m a local dgo professional with a FT job that has lots of flexibility to care for your furbabies! I’ve cared for dogs and cats (and a handful of snakes) my whole life, several with special needs. For example, I did subcutaneous IV’s for my lab in her golden years, I’ve administered insulin injections in cats, and I’m constantly getting calls about or rescuing animals. (My favorite was raising baby raccoons! But I’ve also rescued a couple of foxes, owls, birds, one tarantula, and a multitude of lost dogs and cats. If your dog has ever gotten loose between Trimble and purg along 550, there’s a decent chance we’ve already met!) I have a very friendly Newfie and two curious cats, one of whom recently made me a “foster failure.” My dog has a step goal that we like to meet and most days we do a minimum of two activities. I favor haviland because of the shade and the water sources, and the variety of trails. We also love the dog park, animas river trail, nice shady cool hikes in the summer, and places with water to splash in or snow to pounce in. It is entirely up to you where we go, what we do, and if they are comfortable with another dog or not. It’s their world; I’m just there for activities and pets! :)

About: Hello fellow dog lovers! With over 20 years of experience owning and caring for dogs, I understand the deep bond between humans and their furry companions. I’ve recently moved to Silverton and, though I cannot host pets in my rental, I’d love to take your dog for a walk or house sit where they feel most comfortable- your home! I work from home, which allows me the flexibility to provide care both during and outside of regular business hours. Whether it’s a midday walk, evening playtime or weekend adventure, I’m here to ensure your dog receives the attention, love and exercise they deserve. If you book me for pet sitting in your home, you can feel at ease knowing that I will respect your space and make it a goal of mine to leave your space as clean (or cleaner!) than how I arrived. Let’s connect and discuss how I can offer your dog the right care and attention to make you feel comfortable when you can’t be with them. I look forward to meeting you and your pups! I work from home and have a fairly flexible schedule! I can provide pet services within or outside of regular business hours- let’s discuss your pets needs and I can likely fit them in to my schedule, no problem! I love clients who offer detailed lists of their pets needs and daily routines! I used to do the same with my dog and know that following something like this gives everyone involved (dogs included!) ease of mind.

I have cared for a variety of setups that work best for the household and am no stranger to unique situations that you may have for your household.

About: I have a sweet Border Collie puppy, an Australian Shepard and and Australian Kelpie. I have had dogs my whole life and have tons of experience in dog and house sitting! Although I have 3 pets of my own I am always looking for more furry friends and pet loving. I grew up with a German Shepard/Newfoundland, a Great Pyrenees/Bernese Mountain dog and a Pitbull/Lab. I have watched a number of dogs ranging from Golden Retrievers to Australian Shepards to labs to terriers to daschunds. I also have experience with senior dogs and puppies. Overall, I love dogs of all ages and sizes and would love to care for you dogs! I work full time between two jobs, but have a flexible schedule. I have a degree in Biology. My boyfriend and I have 3 dogs together so when I am pet sitting, he is able to take care of our dogs, meaning I will be able to put all my time and care into yours! I can assure that your pet will get the maximum amount of attention and all of their needs will be met. I always make sure the pets I am sitting are not left alone for too long and ensure that they get adequate exercise. If the owner specifies activities the dog enjoys I make sure to do that with them! You will get daily updates as to how your pet is doing. Pictures will be sent so you can keep updated with your pet’s well-being! I am currently working full time, but always make the animals I am caring for my priority. I make sure pups get walks in and that all animals get love and care they need. I have a fenced in yard with lots of space for your pets to run around. When staying at you’re place, or mine I make sure to take them on walks and exercise.

“Kadie was amazing with my dog Bennet! She took him on hikes, sent lots of pictures, and went above and beyond to ensure he had a happy day. Will absolutely book her again when we are back in town!”

“Matt was extremely attentive and loving when it came to taking care of my cat while I was gone. He went above and beyond the normal standard, making sure Carbon (my cat) felt loved and that I felt assured while traveling. I was able to enjoy my holiday even more receiving daily updates, videos and pictures of their time together. Matt is an amazing caretaker and I would confidently recommend him to anyone wanting their animal in good hands while they’re away!”

About: Growing up my family always had pets- dogs, cats, birds, and rabbits. My first job in high school was a kennel assistant at an animal hospital. I would take pets for walks, administer medications, feed them, etc. I spent a lot of time in exam rooms and surgeries assisting the veterinarian as well. My entire adult life I have had a dog or 2 dogs. Currently I have two, Mishka and Milo. They are super sweet and love making new friends! I run a cleaning business, which allows me to be flexible and make my own schedule. If I do need to leave for a work day, the pups would have a safe place to be for the day. I never leave for more than 6 hours. Ideally, when caring for someone else’s pup, I would make my schedule so I don’t need to leave them home alone. I am happy to accommodate! When I am caring for someone’s pet in their home, I will work with your pet’s regular eating and potty schedule when planning my visits! I am happy to care for your pet in my home, or in your home! My dogs do great in other people’s homes when I housesit. I have a safe and comfortable home. Typically once or twice a day I take the dogs on a walk where it is safe for them to be off leash and run. If your pet needs to be on a leash for walks, that is ok with me too.

Deb R.
“Deb is truly a dog lover. She has watched two of my dogs over the years and I always know that they are in good hands with her. She treats my dogs as if they were her own. In fact, my dog gets more exercise when he is staying with Deb than during his normal routine! That's because Deb is religious about taking long, early-morning and late-afternoon walks, frequently involving some river time for the pups. She is conscientious, patient, and kind. I recommend her dog-sitting services HIGHLY. She is also great with cats, fish, and other critters!”
