“Hi guys. I feel like you all did a great job. You took O' Malley for 10 days and let him do his thing and be comfortable in his own way. Thank you! The only thing I would have liked more of is communication. Both times I had to reach out to you for check ins. Good luck with your pet sitting!!!”
“Amanda was absolutely fantastic! We booked very last minute over Thanksgiving and she was so awesome! She was very communicative and helpful. The cats absolutely loved her and can’t wait to see her again! She sent the sweetest pictures!!”

About: I got a puppy for my son back my May of this year (2023) and we have had so much fun with her! Rather than getting our puppy a puppy to play with we thought we would try out dog sitting as a way to get some more fun furry friends in the house! We take our golden doodle on a walk every day for about 20-30 minutes. She has free access to the backyard whenever she wants through the doggy door. My 5 year old plays with her both inside and outside depending on the weather. Charlee goes to the groomers about every 8 weeks for her spa day. I will treat your fur baby just as I treat mine! All the snuggles, play, and love they deserve! My son will also provide more than enough to wear them out I promise that haha
About: I work in a vet clinic where animals are borders as a kennel tech and I make sure they are as comfortable as possible away from home. My working hours at my job are the same every day and it’s a two hour shift in the PM so my days are open other than that. I am comfortable walking a dog around your yard if they need to in order to do their business or sit out in a yard depending on your requests. I don’t have many things I would be uncomfortable if requested.
“Amazing service, as usual! She checked in on my pet’s health and habits before my trip since it had been a couple of months since her last visit. She provides great updates of my pet’s activities during the visits and goes out of her way to make each visit special.”

About: I have taken care of all types of animals since I was young. I’ve worked with dogs, cats and farm animals. Nothing will surprise me!! I work as an athletic trainer at a high school. I don’t go into work until 1:30 or 2 pm everyday so why not spend my mornings with your lovely pets! I will take your dog for walks/runs and play with them to get all that energy out. If they are good they will be rewarded with treats (if you prefer them to not have treats then they can be showered with love). If it’s a drop in visit then I will take them to the bathroom and feed them if necessary.
About: I've been blessed to help care for pets of all kinds since I was little moving around and many relatives work in pet care so I've learned there is no animal too difficult. From energetic to needy, I am excited for the opportunity to share some love. August 18th I begin my senior semester at Washburn majoring in political science as well as be on the Debate team. I volunteer at the Topeka Rescue Mission and Loud Light's community action team in my free time. I can ensure availability on Tuesday, Thur-Sun, but it never hurts to reach out for help on Wed and Mon because I can often make it work. With my experience in house sitting I have never had a negative encounter. Not only have my clients been incredibly kind, they have also been very helpful and communicated perfectly what I need to do to care best. I am a very tidy individual but my best quality that my compassion is boundless. I am happy to take on any responsibility while an individual's pet is under my care.
About: I've had dog companions/besties since I learned to walk. They taught me how to love unconditionally, and it made animal care and advocacy my calling. I was studying veterinary medicine before I moved to Topeka, and recently I decided to take animal care back up. I also volunteer at the humane society, so I can spread that passion as wide as this community lets me. I dream of tails wagging and goofy tongues out as far as the eye can see! This is my number 2 priority after my own pack of critters. I intentionally schedule in plenty of time so yours are taken care of and tongue-out-happy! I try to give trauma informed care, which means I cater the visit to your pets needs and what they're comfortable with, so that we can build a trusting relationship. After that, improvement and success is a piece of cake.
About: As someone serving in the Army, I bring a strong sense of responsibility, structure, and reliability. You can trust that I’ll always show up on time, follow instructions exactly, and treat your pet and home with the utmost care. Pet care naturally fits into my daily routine because I already prioritize structure, responsibility, and physical activity through my Army background. I start most days early, so I’m used to being on a consistent schedule — which pets really thrive on. Whether it’s early morning walks, feedings, or just keeping them company during quiet afternoons, I make sure they’re cared for with love and attention. Even with a busy week, caring for animals gives me a sense of calm and purpose. Plus, I’ve already built pet care into my own life with my one eyed cat so it’s more than a routine; it’s second nature. When I care for cats in a client’s home, I focus on making them feel safe, comfortable, and seen — especially since cats are creatures of habit. I stick closely to their feeding schedule, keep litter boxes clean, and give them space to warm up at their own pace. Some cats want cuddles and playtime, others just want a quiet presence — I respect each cat’s personality and adjust my care to match. I always check for signs of stress or illness, and I send daily photo updates so you know your fur baby is doing well. As a cat mom myself, I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet.
About: I love most animals and especially dogs. It would be a dream to take care and provide for pets/ pet owners full time. I am detail oriented, a good listener/learner and will always do what’s best for your pet! I appreciate any opportunity to care for your beloved pet. Currently I am available for mornings, evenings and weekends. I plan to be available for any daytime hours soon. I am available for late night check in’s as well. I care for my pets with healthy meals, as much play time as possible, daily cuddles, careful grooming when needed, creating safe environments for them and understanding their behavior and needs. I love animals and will be happy watching/caring for any fur ball.
About: Hi! I am a recent graduate currently work from home and ready to take on more fur baby time. I have a dog that has been trained professionally, and at home. I spent a lot of time training him, I adopted him only a year ago. He is 7, and very friendly, but a bit shy. He's a chug (chihuahua pug). I have knowledge and experience with dog behavior, dog training, and more. Thats including, but not limited to, obedience, behavioral training, and clicker training. I worked with dog behavioral specialists with both my boy, and another dog that I helped take care of/train for a short while. I know all dogs have their own personalities, as well as triggers, reactions, and preferences. I can usually read body language, and err on the side of caution when needed. This goes for interacting with dogs myself, and allowing them to interact with each other. I understand the risks that are involved when caring for dogs, such as encountering strays on a walk, ensuring all dogs that interact are vaccinated, and assessing their comfort levels through their body language because it's often so subtle. I have a balanced approach with dogs, but I try to lean into positive reinforcement. My version of 'negative' reinforcement' is simply not rewarding the behavior with a reaction, or a response. It's very neutral. I have a 5000 square foot fenced in backyard, lots of toys, LOTS of dog food (but will respect their dietary needs!) and I'm very active. If it's acceptable, I have many friends with and without their own pets that love to hang out and go for walks, or do other activities with the pups. Being home all day working from home, my flexible schedule and work flow allows for me to manage my day accordingly. So I can fit in a walk, a drop in, play time, or anything else. Looking forward to hearing from you! Remote job, flexible schedule. Monday-Friday only, weekends are generally open outside of planned events and activities. I finish work at 5pm daily, but it's a very adaptable work routine. I generally keep my dog separate from other dogs at home unless they are familiar. With him, I feed him twice a day, and give treats here and there. We have a pretty solid routine, and he doesn't get treats without earning it! He's very independent and strong willed, so this is just necessary. He's a couch potato, and he is vaccinated and trained. With other pets, I typically do potty breaks at minimum every 2 hours, always keeping food and water available unless instructed otherwise. Walks are 1-2x daily, and the length of time typically varies depending on the dog. I don't do 'punishments' as far as spanking, yelling, or otherwise. I have found there are better ways to manage behavior. I'm a big fan of puzzles and other mentally stimulating activities for balance, too.n
About: I'm not certified to train animals, but I'm happy to continue working on any training already in progress, and I'm able and capable to give meds as needed. I am done with school and I work part time so my schedule is flexible and allows me to take care of your animals when needed. I help give my own dog her required nightly meds. Previously, I've house sat with animals and let them out to go to the bathroom as needed and fed them as instructed.
About: I’ve been a pet owner for 10+ years. My fur babies are my world. I believe all animals deserve to be loved. Choose the best. I’m going to school part time and I would love to enjoy my free time taking care of some fur babies. Ask me your questions. I have a fenced in backyard. I live right by a park and university. I have an upstairs and downstairs in my home. Many space.
About: Hi! I’m Sarah, an experienced, reliable pet caregiver and lifelong animal lover. My son and I recently said goodbye to our beloved dog of 12 years, and while we aren’t quite ready to welcome a new pet of our own, we deeply enjoy caring for animals and making them feel safe, loved, and at home. I have over 15 years of experience caring for pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I take a thoughtful, individualized approach—meeting each dog where they are and offering just-right levels of activity, enrichment, and rest based on their needs, age, and energy. Our home is calm, clean, and well-supervised. We live near the levee and regularly walk the nearby forested river trails, which many dogs love for gentle exercise, fresh air, and enrichment. I prioritize safety, routines, clear communication, and plenty of affection, including snuggles and relaxed indoor downtime. My 9-year-old son is kind, gentle, and very respectful with animals, and he especially loves quiet companionship and playtime (always supervised). Your pet will be treated like a valued family member, and you can expect dependable care, thoughtful attention, and regular updates while you’re away. I have a flexible schedule that allows plenty of time for walks, play, and check-ins, including afternoons, evenings, and weekends, to match your pet’s routine. Pets are always supervised in a calm, clean home. I follow routines, respect boundaries, involve my gentle, animal-savvy child appropriately, and communicate clearly with owners.
About: I am married and have two daughters and a son. They are 12, 8, and 5. I have a wonderful German Shepherd, an Alaskan Klee Kai, and a 20 pound cat named Karen. We love caring for other animals. We have a big yard so there’s plenty of room to run.! I can come to your home or board in ours. We are very active individuals. Both my husband and I are runners. Just let me know if you have anymore questions and I would be more than willing to answer them! We are very flexible with our schedules. My husband works full-time, but I drive for Uber so I can make my own schedule when needed. We try to stay as active as possible and play with pets in the home. We have a German shepherd that loves the extra play time!
About: I have been a tech for 14 years so your pets will be beyond safe with me. I love animals and make a lot of play time and attention. Making them feel loved and cared for while you’re gone. I am currently working part-time, allowing me ample opportunity to play with your pet and give it the attention it deserves. I am available for in-home pet sitting any day and time, ensuring your pet feels as comfortable as if you were home. For walks, I am available in the early mornings or late evenings to avoid the extreme heat and ensure your pet's safety and comfort. I care for pets in a client's home as if they were my own. I ensure they are taken outside multiple times a day, and I always provide fresh water and food. If medications are necessary, I administer them properly and on schedule. I make sure that pets receive ample attention, playtime, and snuggles, ensuring they remain happy and content while you are away.
About: "If you can look at a dog and not feel vicarious excitement and affection, you must be a cat." ~Terri Guillemets Love dogs (and animals in general, but dogs especially.) I have been around them my whole life and wouldn't want it any other way. I come from a large, mostly rural dwelling family, my grandma had 11 kids 2/3 of which have at least 1 or more dog(s) including my mom. I've always had my own and/or lived with roommates/friends/family, that have/had dog(s) in every house I've lived from day 1 to the present. Although I can't say I've taken care of every breed out there (doubt that many people can) I have definitely seen my fair share of mutts and purebreds alike; from Corgis to Chihuahuas, Danes to Dobermans, Lhasa Apsos to Shar Peis, and even a couple of wolves (3/4 mixes) as well as a few rodents, cats, reptiles, arachnid and birds. Big or small I love "em all, but if you forced me to pick a favorite I'd have to go with the affectionate yet intimidating Perro de Presa Canario. In short, if either by choice or necessity you find yourself in need of a caretaker for your 4-legged (or more) companion(s), know that I would be elated for the opportunity and you can be assured that their health and well-being will invariably be at the forefront of my mind in all that I do while they're in my care. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I look forward to hearing from you soon. "Lots of people talk to animals.... Not very many listen, though.... That's the problem." ~Benjamin Hoff, The Tao of Pooh
