“Brittany was a delight! She was great at updating and she was quite impressive with getting my shy guy Bob to interact. We were very pleased with her services and will definitely book with her again if she’ll have us back!”

“Nikki did such a wonderful job caring for my dog Zoe. Nikki was eager to meet Zoe and establish a connection prior to the first appointment. She took special care on her visits and communicated everything without skipping a beat. I HIGHLY recommend Nikki for any of your pet needs and I certainly plan on utilizing her services again.”

“Well pleased!! Sitter check in and check out. Received updates while there. Stayed the agreed time frame. Got along well with my group of dogs. We have 4 one of which is a tripawd coonhound. All went well. Recommend Shawna for your pets! Thank you for allowing us a Chance to get away from the daily grind!”
“Ashlyn was great!! Super reliable, trustworthy, and awesome with communication. She was flexible and my cat seemed to love her based on the cute updates she’d send. Came home to a happy cat and enjoyed my trip much more thanks to Ashlyn. Highly recommend!”

“Fantastic experience with Natalie for drop-in visits! She was very diligent and friendly. By her last visit I could tell from her pictures that my pup was excited for her to be back for play time. So worth it to see such joy on my girl's face!”

“She was wonderful. Our cats are unfortunately bad and broke glass and she very kindly cleaned it up and took out the trash for us. She has been super responsive throughout and we couldn’t ask for much more. One hundred percent recommend.”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I've had pets since I was little and have spent years caring for dogs, cats. My love for animals is what inspired me to start completing my prerequisites for veterinary school. I've also had the opportunity to work in a veterinary clinic, ongoing for three and a half years, where I have gained hands-on experience caring for animals and learning even more about their health and well-being. I thoroughly enjoy getting to know each pet's personality and building trust with both them and their owners. I have experience in administering medications both orally and by injection, caring for senior dogs who need a little extra patience, attention, and gentle handling. I also know how to groom, including bathing, brushing, nail trimming, and basic haircuts to help keep pets clean, comfortable, and looking their best. Whether your pet loves to play, prefers quiet cuddles, or just needs someone dependable to stick to their routine, I'll care for them like they're part of my own family. I know how important it is to leave your pet with someone you trust, and my goal is always to make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you're away. I'm currently a veterinary student and work in a veterinary clinic, so I plan my schedule carefully to provide dependable care for every pet. I offer drop-in visits, dog walks, and house sitting, and I'll always do my best to accommodate your pet's routine. Whether they need playtime, exercise, medications, or just some extra love and attention, I'll make sure they're well cared for while you're away. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pets while you're away. My goal is to make that time as stress-free as possible for both you and your pet. I'll follow their routine, give them plenty of love and attention, and make sure they feel safe and comfortable in their own home. I'll also treat your home with respect and keep you updated with photos and messages, so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands.
“Alex took good care of our cat Tucker and faithfully came daily over several weeks to feed and love on him. She was responsive to requests and helpful in reporting any developments with Tucker or around the house.”

“Jeffrey was great! He is kind and considerate. We booked on a short notice but he still took the time to come by to see our set up. He was very consistent in his visits. I would book him again!”

About: I have pretty much taken in every stray my parents have allowed me too ever since I could remember. Growing up i’ve had a variety of dogs, cats, fish, hamsters, and chickens. My mother and I moved to Olive Branch in November and since then I’ve been volunteering at a horse ranch a couple of miles from me. I love being outdoors so if you babies need a walk, I am more than happy to oblige! I will say the only service I can not offer is, your babies staying with me. My own dog is reactive to other dogs, from past traumas. I just graduated High-school and will be working part time, so I have all the time needed for your babies! Also if any plants need to be taken care of I can do so as well. I am available for weekends, early morning, mid-day, and even over night if needed. At my house my animals are spoiled, so I will treat your babies the same. They will get a multitude of cuddles, and just leave any special instructions like meals or medication. (However I am not specialized in injections.)

“Liz was amazing in helping care for our pups while we were out of town!! We were so grateful she was willing to help on Thanksgiving and our dogs instantly loved her. Liz will be caring for them again soon and we’re so glad to have found her!”

About: All my life, I’ve lived with pets. My family and I have had dogs with varying personalities, sizes and exercise needs. I’ve taken care of larger lab mixes all the way to the tiniest Chihuahuas. In 2020, I joined the crazy cat lady club, and I currently have 3 cats of my own, but still frequently care for my family dogs while they’re away. What I can provide for you and your pet is personal and quality pet care because as a life long pet owner, I would want someone to do the same to my own pets! Contact me now to get a booking started! I have a free summer since I was a full time teacher. Currently, I have a part time seasonal job in Starkville that will pick back up when football season starts. I have a pretty open schedule! I like to be active so walks would be enjoyable for me. I typically am in town for most major holidays as my family leaves nearby, so I can look in during the holidays. I am willing to travel. When I was still in college, I used to look in on my friends’ pets while they were out of town. Large dogs do not frighten me, and I have frequently taken 50+ pound dogs on walks. I have helped my grandmother care for her senior blind diabetic dog and gave him insulin injections.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
