“Carlee is amazing! She sent daily updates and photos of all 3 of our furbabies. She communicated very well and at our meet and greet I knew she was the energy we needed to look after our babies. We will most definitely be using her services again. Thanks for everything, Carlee!!!!🥰”

About: I genuinely love caring for animals and enjoy getting to know each pet's unique personality. Whether it's going for walks, playing, keeping them company, or making sure they stay comfortable and on their normal routine, I find pet sitting incredibly rewarding. Through my professional pet-sitting experience, I've cared for dogs and cats with a variety of personalities, ages, and needs, which has taught me the importance of patience, reliability, and attention to detail. I treat every pet as if they were my own, and my goal is always to help them feel safe, happy, and loved while their family is away. Pet care can come at just about any time for me! I am just always happy & willing to fit a cute face into my routine:) I don’t work during the summer. During the school year I work 630am-1230pm Safe, gentle & healthy pet care is always crucial. In my home & others homes… I make sure to give pets a safe and exciting environment as much as I possibly can. Something I believe is vital is trust. I always want the animals I take care of to trust me & feel safe.
“Frances took wonderful care of our pets! Despite my own lack of organization on day one, she still came by to make sure they were taken care of. I’m so thankful for her flexibility, reliability, and kindness. We truly appreciate her!”

“Morgan was fabulous and visited twice a day at the appointed and times to visit and feed the dogs ! She was very responsive and trustworthy! Feel confident to Hire her anytime is my rec!!”

“Hannah was great with our pups. Our big boy loved her! Our new baby girl Bella was full of playful energy and Hannah did great. She even took extra time with my dad's old dog to try to gain her trust. 💯% recommend and I plan to use her again if she is available.”

“Grace was super caring and patient with our two girls while we were away! Keeping up with 3 check-ins a day is not easy, but she made sure the pups got some free time. Definitely would recommend!”

“Trina is tops! She is a very impressive person. She handled our energetic doggy, Izzy, perfectly. Dogs know the humans who love them -- Izzy took to Trina immediately. Her rate is very reasonable. I recommend her very highly.”

About: Hello! I’m a long time pet lover and house sitter (of my own place) I have interacted with many pets of my friends and worked at animal shelters. My experience with pets starts in high school when I volunteered at the local animal shelter cleaning out kennels, grooming and playing with cats and dogs. I then graduated to being a pet auntie for my friends animals and then pet sitting for various clients. I love pets, they are adorable and I can’t wait until I can have my own! Until then, I guess I’ll just pet sit…. I work from home on most days, so my schedule is flexible enough to allow me to look after pets such as spending quality time, potty breaks, exercising via walks and playing with cat toys. When I care for pets in their home, I take care to read all of the instructions and look after the home. This can include administering medications, accommodating different diets and walking styles (such as the slow walkers, the sniffers, the neighborhood watchers). I make sure to leave the home the way I found it because that is what I would like if I was the pet parent.
About: I’ve cared for dogs for most of my life and have had my own dog since I was seven years old. At fourteen, I independently raised and trained a puppy, taking full responsibility for daily walks, feeding, bathroom schedules, basic training, playtime, and overall care. Through that experience, I learned patience, consistency, and how to understand different dog personalities and needs. I’m comfortable with energetic dogs, maintaining routines, and making sure pets feel safe, exercised, and cared for while their owners are away. My schedule is very flexible, and I’m available most days and times throughout the week. I can accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening walks or check-ins depending on your pet’s needs. I’m reliable, responsive, and happy to work with different routines and energy levels to make sure your dog feels comfortable and cared for. I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for by keeping their routine as consistent as possible. In a client’s home, I follow feeding schedules, provide fresh water, take dogs on walks or potty breaks, give them attention and playtime, and make sure the home stays clean and secure while the owner is away. I also pay close attention to each dog’s behavior and energy levels so I can adjust care to their needs, whether they’re very active, anxious, or more relaxed. Because I’ve raised and trained a puppy myself, I understand the importance of patience, consistency, and positive interaction. I’m comfortable with walks, basic reinforcement training, crate routines, cleaning up accidents if needed, and making sure pets get both exercise and affection throughout the day.

About: I have grown up with dogs and have taken care of countless family and friends dogs! I love all sizes and breeds so much! I have gotten the opportunity to pour love and kindness onto each family whose pets I care for by showing up each day with a genuine love for their pets! I am currently not working as I just finished working for a summer camp! I am open all day every week day to care for pets!! As a college student and lifelong animal lover, I understand that every pet has unique needs and deserves patient, loving care. I will follow your pet's routine closely, including feeding, walks, playtime, medications, and plenty of attention. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I'm happy to accommodate your family's specific requests and will treat your home and pets with the same respect and care I would expect for my own.
About: I am a 27 year old husband and father of 2 boys. I am a veterinary nurse who works with dogs and cats everyday. I love what I do and consider myself lucky to be able to make a living working with animals. I know that most owners feel the same way as i do about their dogs/cats when they have to leave them in others hands. Owners are going to worry when they are away and it is up to the person responsible for their pet to make them feel at ease. When your pet is with me you can know that they are in good hands and that I will do everything I can to make them feel safe. I know all dogs are different and some are more frightened when their owners are away. Some dogs need more affection than others while some just want you to throw them the ball. I take pride in making them feel safe and as if they were with their best friend. I promise you i will keep your pet safe and sound. Even more than that i promise you that them and I will have fun! Thank you. I work Monday through Friday with Thursdays off. I can always come by in the mornings, on lunch, and afternoon and nights. I can be as flexible as needed. I will always keep an eye on the pet and make sure they are seen as if their own human was there. I take pride that I have worked in the vet field for over a decade and pretty much grew up in it
About: I’ve owned some kind of dog or cat all my life. From 150lbs to 20lbs, then down to cat sizes! We currently have a 15 year old Great Pyrenees/Border Collie mix. I am a stay at home mom of a 2 year old, I am available regularly and on the go. Some notice is great but can usually make myself available asap! Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
