“Becky was great!! She was willing to meet beforehand so my dog could get familiar with her. My apprehensive pup was comfortable around her during her weekend stay. Also, Becky checked in with me throughout the weekend and sent me cute pictures of my pup! I’m glad I found a sitter in the area that’s good with my dog”

“Darlene took such great care of my puppy Chloe who is 14 weeks old, while I was away for a few days. I recieved morning and evening up dates with photos and videos of her stay. Chloe also had such a great time and experience. I was a little nervous she might not want to come home after all that fun lol.. Great experience...”

“I can't say enough about how wonderful Gabriel and his family are. They made Jack a part of their family. Gabriel asked me all kinds of great questions on how Jack behaves, eats and how much he was trained, etc. He also kept me up to date with Jack on a daily basis, including pictures. It made it much easier to be away from my fur baby without having to worry about how he was doing. I would highly recommend Gabriel and Delia and will be taking Jack there again when I have to go out of town. Lots of extra love is given here.”

“Robby and Ashley were great to Maya. They took her over the holiday we feel good that she was in safe hands. They were great in asking great questions up front to ensure they are aware of anything special they would need to know about. Their house is very tidy and they make the drop off and pick up process very easy and stress free for the dog. They even left us with the cutest 'goody bag', with a stuffed animal and treats that our dog Maya loved as we continued a trip down the coast after we picked her up. We would definitely recommend and use their dog sitting services again!”

“We are so grateful that Jaclyn was able to take care of Odie so nicely. Odie got so much love and affection and did not even miss us. haha. They sent pictures of Odie and took him for walks and gave him so much of hugs kisses and wrapped him like a baby during bedtime and made him feel so much at home. This is the best place for my pet and would greatly recommend for anyone trying to send their pet when they are out of town. Thanks so much Jacklyn. We love your support!”

About: I had a dog who I cared and deeply loved for 6 years, she unfortunately passed away due to medical issues. I moved here to Seaside about 4 months ago due to my husband being in the military and have already watched over several dogs ranging from small to large sizes. I met a good friend whose dog has anxiety, so I have learned how to handle/comfort dogs who are going through the same thing. I hope to connect with your pet and give them the best care possible! I am a stay at home mom to a one year old boy who adores animals and loves walks. I get up pretty early in the morning and use some of that time to let them out to potty, provide their breakfast, and go on a little walk! I have a playground and dog park right by my home where they can roam around and have some fun:) I do not have pets of my own. I do have a one year old boy. If your dog has shown aggression towards little kids even in the past, it will not be a good fit to have them here with me. I have a fenced backyard. If you require your pet to be in a crate for any reason or at a certain time (it usually has only been when I’m out for errands or during bed time) I would of course just need to know ahead of time:) I’d really want the area safe for everyone including your own pet:) We can always work around what you want/prefer when I am caring for them!

“Julie was an amazing host for Ollie! She took great care of him for three nights and sent daily updates with wonderful pictures and videos, which I really appreciated. It was clear he was having a great time, especially with her dog, Chase, and another furry friend. Ollie loves socializing, so this was the perfect stay for him! He came home happy, tail wagging, and excited but clearly well cared for. I truly appreciate the love and attention she gave him. Highly recommend Julie for anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter!”

“My family and I get super anxious about leaving our pups while we’re away (since they’re our babies), but I’m so happy we found Nathaly. It was comforting to know that she has two pitties herself. Nathaly had no problem sending pictures and updates. My family and I loved seeing photos & messages about how the pups were doing. It definitely gave us peace of mind that they were adjusting well - it was greatly appreciated. My dogs have totally different personalities (and food diets) - Nathaly was so good at adapting to each of them. One of my pups can be super nervous in new environments, but Nathaly made sure he was comfortable during the stay.”

“Yessina and Sophie and their 3 children were the perfect introduction for my 6 month old puppy, Pixie, to experience her 1st dog sitters! They were very kind and gentle with her and her shyness didn’t faze them. Buster my 8 year old terrier who is cautious around strangers, but a real gentleman, picked his spots to lay down and wait patiently and was calm when I arrived. Even though both dogs refused to eat while they were there for the day, I was very happy with the care given by this family. They really listened to me and followed my suggestions! I’m planning on returning and rebooking with them!”

FAQs for Dog Boarding - Camphora

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of November 2026, there are 157 sitters on Rover offering Dog Boarding across Camphora. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.

93% of sitters in Camphora can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.

During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Camphora home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Camphora.

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Camphora. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 93% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

You and your Camphora sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
