Upon our introduction meeting Bella was ok with Madalyn and allowed her to apply medication. However, the first day I was gone it was game on for Bella! She was very aggressive, hissing and swatting at Madalyn. I was traveling for 2 weeks and 500 miles from home when Madalyn called to let me know there were some issues. I made some suggestions and Madalyn was able to give the medication. It took Bella about a week until she warmed up to Madalyn and was allowing her to pet her with purrs! She is a real superstar and now that Bella is used to her I hope to be able to spend time away from home with my kids who do not live close. Thank you Madalyn!”

About: I’ve been around all animals almost all my life and have always had the biggest love for them. I have also worked at veterinary offices and love almost every part of it :) I am currently doing online courses for school at skagit valley college and have an open schedule to help out with any type of animal care :) I have a fully fenced back yard that dogs would love and hardwood floors inside my house for when they are inside. I am fully capable of taking care of the animals however wanted :)

About: I’ve been a dog lover for as long as I’ve been alive, I’ve looked after family friends dogs throughout high school, but the crux of my experience comes from my dog back at home who has several special needs both emotional and medical. I have endless empathy for dogs who struggle being home alone and I can learn how to give out medication if needed. Also, I couldn’t figure out where to put this- but my preferred name is Felice :) Now that it’s summer I have loads of free time, and I’m willing to take longer jobs/go on more frequent walks! Once school starts back up in September my schedule will slim a bit I’m very mindful and respectful while house sitting, I’ll make sure everything gets done and the pets have everything they need. I’m also willing to do other things around the house that a house sitter typically does

About: I have owned dogs, cats, chameleons, and rabbits throughout my life. I’ve always loved the companionship a pet provides and have enjoyed nurturing such loving animals. I am passionate about providing proper care to animals and have a calm and patient demeanor with them. I enjoy taking dogs on long walks and I also enjoy hiking with dogs to keep more with their energy. I believe in the proper care and treatment of animals and will make sure that all of my effort goes into providing the best care possible. I’m very flexible and willing to pick up and drop of at the owners convenience to save them travel. I’m an outdoor educator so my availability is on the weekends, but I am free for early walks before 8am on week days and after 8pm. I have some flexibility around dinner time given notice. I am more than happy for overnight weekday visits knowing I’ll be gone from 8am-8pm. In my clients home I care for the pets the same way a family member would, my job is to make your pet as comfortable as I can while you are gone.

About: I love all kinds of dogs and pets! I have watched and taken care of both my own and friends pets for years. I love hanging out with all different kinds of dogs and have experience with both big and small dogs. I have an open schedule at the moment! I am back in Anacortes this summer before starting grad school this fall. I am able to board pets at the moment. I will abide by your and your pet’s normal routine at home and follow any safety rules you have set in your home. I always have my full attention on every pet when taking care of them.

About: In my apartment complex, I’ve become the resident dog walker/sitter. Im a huge animal lover, and have been the go-to care taker for friends and family when they vacation. I am available all evenings and most mornings for pet-sitting. I work short morning shifts in a restaurant and work shifts tend to last about 4-6 hours. Weekends can be up to 8 hours. My schedule is very flexible and I’m willing to work with different schedules. I will not be providing services in my home because of my own old tabby rescue cat. He has anxiety and doesn’t handle other animals well.

About: I am available for in house visits and overnight stays through the winter months. I have experience with kittens and cats of all ages and health issues, as well as with small and medium sized dogs from 1.5 to 16 years of age. I can administer medication, provide exercise and stimulation, and make pets feel at ease in their own environment- as opposed to the overwhelming smells and noises at a traditional kennel. My work schedule is somewhat fluid during the winter months, so I should be able to reach an arrangement that suits just about any situation. Feel free to reach out even if our schedules don’t align perfectly, I may be able to switch other jobs around to accommodate your needs. I can care for your pets in the comfort and safety of their own space. It is far less stressful for the animal to remain in their home, with the sounds, scents, and sights they are used to. They will miss you while you’re away, but they’ll know you’ll be coming back to the home they share with you. I think it’s the perfect arrangement. I am happy to send photos and videos of your pets while you’re away to give you peace of mind that they are happy and healthy in your absence.
