“Christianna is wonderful! They are great with Copper, and she is usually always available late notice! I always receive pictures during the stay, and updates on food and potty breaks. Copper is always very excited when we arrive at Christianna's house, and he is always so happy when I pick him up. I would definitely recommend Christianna!!”

About: I grew up on a farm in Ohio taking care of all sorts of animals. Being a Dog Mom myself I know the daily stress and worries that come through your head while you're busy days take over your schedule. We make bath time fun, or at least try our best! Every dog has their own personalities and needs throughout the day- am here for them and you! My constant goal is to provide the security to you and fun to your fur babes at any time because I understand life isn't 9-5 and your needs cant be confined. I have an open yard and an open floor plan house for all the zoomie needs. We are a walkable distance to the Experimental forest for short or long winded walks. I have space for crates and a large crate for use if needed. My babe Zoe will keep great company to your pet and share all of her toys. Your pet will be so loved however you want to utilize my service opportunities!
“Cheyenne is great person, takes great care of pets in her care. My puppy loved being there. I would and will recommend her to my friends in Elizabeth City area.”

About: I have been a babysitter for over 20 years. Most of the families I worked with had pets, dogs or cats. I have had cats of my own over the years but now I help my mom take care of her 2 dogs. I recently moved to Newport News so I have a completely open schedule. I am already cooking fresh food for my mom's dogs and walking them regularly. Come join us. I prepare meals for my mom's dogs weekly. I research foods they can and cannot have to make sure they are happy and healthy. I also walk them 3 times a day minimum. There is a dog park on the premises but they mostly just sniff around :).
About: Hi, I’m Kristin! I’ve had over 10 years of experience caring for dogs, cats, and all kinds of animals. Whether it’s playtime, snuggles, or keeping up with their routine, I treat every pet like they’re part of the family. I’m reliable, patient, and absolutely love animals of all sizes and personalities. Looking forward to meeting your furry (or feathered!) friend! As a stay-at-home mom, I’m home almost every day and have a flexible schedule, making me available for frequent check-ins, walks, feedings, or overnight care. My home offers a secure, pet-friendly space with a large, fully fenced yard—perfect for safe play and exercise. I always supervise outdoor time to ensure your pet’s safety.
“We are so appreciative of Ricardo and his family opening up their home for our dogs. Taking it slow and making sure they have a good time while we are getting settled into our new house. We get pictures and updates throughout the day and our dogs are so excited to get there to spend the day. Very grateful to have found them nearby to us.”

“Taylor was fantastic. She is very flexible with her time and very patient. She arrived on time and did a great job with my high-energy Siberian Husky. I will definitely re-book her.”

About: I’ve cared for pets since childhood, raising both cats and dogs of my own and helping neighbors, friends, and family with theirs. I have experience with puppies as young as 15 weeks, energetic adults, and senior dogs requiring gentle, patient care (I've also raised two cats from kittens to adulthood). I’ve personally walked through the joy of raising pets and the heartbreak of saying goodbye to four beloved dogs and one cat in their senior years, which gives me a special compassion for aging pets. What sets me apart is not just my love for animals, but my reliability and consistency — families know they can trust me to show up, follow routines, and treat their pets with the same care I give my own. As a stay-at-home mom (child is two) and small business owner who works from home, my schedule is very flexible and allows me to easily fit pet care into my daily routine. Whether it’s walks, drop-ins, or cuddle breaks, I can give pets consistent attention and care throughout the day. I provide a safe and welcoming home environment with no other pets, so your dog will have my full attention. Our home has two stories and a fenced in backyard - so plenty of room to play! I can easily crate your pup if you provide the crate, and I’m happy to follow any routines or special instructions. My two-year-old, who loves animals and serves as my little assistant, will also be around, so your dog will enjoy extra love and company in a family-friendly setting. If I'm looking after your cat, you can expect the same attention to care for their routines and/or special instructions (admittedly, if your cat's a snuggler, I can't help but to have my allergies take a backseat!).

“One of the most professional dog sitters I have encountered on this app. I have been using the Rover app for a while and she is hands down the most qualified. I was amazed at the set up she has for the dogs and how charismatic she was to all her guests. Very attentive and gives updates throughout your pups stay. If you need a dog sitter in the outer banks, I highly recommend her!”

“Rhonda was warm and friendly! It seems that Dakota had a very interesting visit with her. This was the first time we had him to a sitter. He came home exhausted and happy!!”

“BOOCHI’S FIRST DAY AT DAYCARE 🐶 All I can say is WOW... I couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter than Monti! When it comes to loving on your fur baby & making them feel at home away from home, Monti is an absolute ANGEL!!! When we first met for our meet and greet last week, it was abundantly clear that Monti and her husband truly love and understand dogs. At first, I was hesitant to book my pup, Boochi, for his first day at daycare because he tends to be a bit picky and kinda anxious sometimes, but Monti and her hubby made him feel completely at home right away – it was like Boochi was part of their family! ❤️ Yesterday was Boochi’s first day at daycare, and he was initially a little nervous when I dropped him off… he wasn't sure whether to follow me or stay with Monti. Fortunately, Monti is a PRO with dogs, and she was SO on top of his care plan – you can tell that she honestly loves and cares about the dogs she watches. From bringing out an entire room full of toys to streaming Boochi's fave comfort cartoon, Monti went MUCH further than the extra mile to make sure that he was comfortable and content… and did I mention how well-fed Boochi was? Not only did she make him his fave lunch, but she even sent him home with cheerios and some leftover chicken with broth! Throughout the day, Monti sent me adorable photos and videos, as well as regular updates with cute little stories about Boochi’s first day at daycare – which really put my mind at ease while I was away… it was clear that Boochi was bonding with Monti, having an awesome time, and getting LOTS of love, attention, and “sugars” (aka kisses). Later, when I arrived for pick-up, Boochi almost didn’t want to leave… he was happy, totally relaxed, and sorta tired from his fun, eventful day – which is always a good sign! In fact, Boochi barely ran over to me because he had become SO comfortable with Monti! Ultimately, Boochi’s first day at daycare couldn’t have gone better! I’m SO glad we found Monti and her husband, and we will definitely be booking again ASAP… it’s such a relief to know that we’ve finally found someone that we can trust with our baby boy! For anyone seeking a warm, caring, professional, and reliable sitter who goes above and beyond to treat your fur baby like family, I HIGHLY recommend booking with Monti… and don’t just walk – RUN!!! 🐾”

“Rachael and her family were life savers for a last-minute booking! Our dog has little “quirks” that make him not the easiest dog of the bunch but they were so patient and understanding! We could tell Reddy was very comfortable. They’re super friendly to chat with as well! Hope to see them again!”

About: Hi! My name is Emily. I am available for boarding or daycare. I work for a brand marketing agency but work from home, so I am always there to be home with the your pup. We just recently lost our dog, and need to fill our home with some puppy love until we are ready to have a dog of our own again. Our little homestead is called Ellie's Acres - named after our pup, Ellie. We live on four acres with sheep and chickens - plenty of space for pups to run! I'm also happy to take them on hikes or long walks during weekend visits. We have a one year old and he of course loves pups! His first word was dog. I'm looking forward to meeting your pup! Thanks! I work from home and am available to be with your dog all day. Dogs are welcome to sleep in bed with us! Or happy to put their bed next to ours if that is where they feel most comfortable. Our dog Ellie was our world. The absence of her has left us with a hole in our hearts and we have a lot of love to give your dog until we are ready to have a dog of our own again. We live on 4 acres, so your dog will have plenty of space to run around. We also have some trails behind our house that we can go for walks on. Dogs will always remain on leash while outside unless they have a good recall and pups/owners feel comfortable with being off leash.
