Perfect fit. Our Sadi loved Emily. Personable and professional. Emily came to our campsite. Great communication: prompt and courteous. Flexible and gracious with our pre-meet up as I forgot to confirm our campsite number. Thank you Emily.

About: Wide range of experience caring for animals of all ages and needs. I’ve bred multiple litters of puppies, giving me experience with puppy care, routines, and making sure young dogs get the attention and care they need. I’ve always had dogs in my home and have cared for many different breeds of dogs for family and friends my whole life. I’ve also bottle-raised kittens and cared for many senior cats over the years. I currently have one dog my 14-year-old paralyzed Yorkie Tika. She has taught me patience, and how to provide extra support and attentive care to senior and special-needs pets. I am currently a college student home for the summer. I am pretty lenient with my schedule so just let me know when you need me! I am a very trust worthy young woman who will not only provide your fur baby with the best care I can but I will also respect you and your home.

About: I have taken care of my own and others pets for 50+ years. I have 3 indoor dogs of my own and have become the official ball thrower to the smallest of my pets because she loves to play fetch. I also care for the Hummingbirds yearly that visit my yard from March till September. I have a full time job but can feed, walk and care for your pets needs after 5 on weekdays and all weekend beginning at 5 on Friday evening. I will care for your pets with as much love as I do my own. Pets are our family and need to be treated and loved as we would our own. I will honor all likes, food choices and instructions given regarding the animals in your home.

About: Ever since I was a little girl I have always been around cats or dogs. I even have 4 cats and 2 dogs of my own. Each one of them have their different personalities so I know how it’s like to treat each animal with the care they like. My dream in the future is to have my own pet resort at my own house but first I want and need to experience how each animal work’s differently so I can give them the best care they deserve I am currently available on Mondays Wednesday's Fridays and Saturdays. I would love to book anyone 7 days or plus prior before the date they want. I respect people and their animals. I would care for your animals as if they were my own. My care for your loved ones would be me making sure he/she has enough water and food, go the the bathroom regularly, and practice good habits.

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover based in Granite Shoals near Marble Falls, and I’m happy to travel within an hour of the Austin area to care for your pup. I’ve had dogs my entire life and truly believe they’re family—not just pets. I currently share my home with Josie, my sweet 10-year-old Pug, and Bella, my energetic 2-year-old rescue Pit mix. Having dogs at very different life stages has given me experience with everything from senior care and slower-paced walks to playful energy and enrichment. Over the years, I’ve regularly helped friends care for their dogs—whether that meant walks, feeding, playtime, or simply keeping them company while their humans were away. I pride myself on being reliable, attentive, and genuinely loving toward every dog I meet. I live a healthy, active lifestyle and enjoy trail walks and neighborhood strolls, always tailoring activity levels to each dog’s needs, age, and personality. Your pup’s safety, happiness, and comfort are always my top priorities, and I’ll care for them as if they were my own. I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your dog—feel free to reach out with any questions! My full time job is mostly remotely, which gives me the flexibility to plan my day around a pet’s needs. This allows me to provide regular walks, meals, playtime, and attention throughout the day. I prioritize safety, trust, and consistency. I follow each pet’s routine closely, ensure secure environments and safe walks, and treat both pets and homes with care and respect.

Amanda was absolutely amazing!! Her response to our booking request was immediate. She even encouraged a meet and greet with us and the pups at no charge. It was well worth it. The pups loved her. Animals can just sense an animal lover. Amanda sent pics and videos frequently of them hanging out in the yard, and even some of the pups resting after a long play time. The house was immaculate when we arrived back home. If you need a sitter, Amanda is definitely the go to. Do not hesitate. We are extremely picky and a little overboard. We were not disappointed. Book Amanda today!

About: I’ve spent years fostering and caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities, so I’m comfortable with everything from energetic pups to seniors that need a slower pace. I’m very patient and good at reading dogs’ behavior, which helps them settle in and feel safe quickly. I also keep owners updated with pictures and little “pupdates” so they always know how their dog is doing. My goal is for every dog to feel right at home, not like they’re just being watched. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I structure my days so I’m home often and able to give dogs plenty of attention, playtime, and potty breaks throughout the day. Morning and evening are usually when I focus on walks, feeding, and outdoor time, with lots of check-ins and cuddles in between. Since caring for dogs is something I truly enjoy, I make sure they’re part of my regular routine so they feel comfortable, relaxed, and well cared for during their stay. I focus on keeping pets comfortable by sticking as close as possible to their normal routine. In my home, dogs get plenty of attention, regular potty breaks, playtime, and a calm place to relax. I make sure they feel safe and at home while they’re here. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their feeding, walking, and care instructions closely so the pet’s routine stays consistent. I also send updates and pictures so owners can feel confident their pet is happy and well cared for.

About: I’ve provided short & long-term dog sitting and walking for a few of my housekeeping clients for several years. My responsibilities included daily walks, feeding, playtime, and making sure their pet felt comfortable and safe while they were away. Because I was already trusted in their home, they relied on me to care for an important member of their family. I also have experience assisting with senior pet care, including giving oral medications and helping administer fluids when needed. I understand that older pets often require extra patience, gentleness, and attention to their routines and health needs. I’ve always loved animals and naturally connect with them. I’m attentive to each pet’s personality and make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for. I treat every pet like they’re my own. I focus on keeping their routines consistent so they feel comfortable and relaxed while their owners are away. Whether that means long walks, playtime, medication schedules, or quiet companionship for senior pets, I’m dependable and attentive to their needs. I also respect clients’ homes and understand the level of trust it takes to welcome someone into your space to care for your pet. Saturday through Tuesday, I’m available after 6PM for walks, visits, or playtime. I’m also available all day Wednesday through Friday, making it easy to fit pets’ routines and needs. I enjoy spending quality time with animals, so whether it’s evening walks, feeding, or just cuddles, I make sure every pet feels cared for and loved.💖 In a client’s home, I follow their pet’s routines closely, feeding, walks, playtime, and any medication or fluids for senior pets, if needed, while making sure their home stays clean, safe, and secure the entire time they are in my care.

About: It is my favorite to train the dog here, so that the dog can not only have a good body, but I can also exercise with the dog myself and relax. I go out for a run with my dog every day, which not only works my body but also builds a trusting relationship between us. This way I can take better care of the dog and life. It is a must to go for a walk every day and take the dog to the park to play. Grooming, regular feeding, oral cleaning, nasal cleaning, ear canal cleaning, etc.

FAQs for House Sitting - Cain City

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 86 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Cain City. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Cain City walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Cain City maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Cain City choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
