About: I’ve taken care of many different kinds/personalities of dogs since I was young. I have also been training my own puppy over the last 7 months as well. I am currently working days until 4pm, and am available to sit/walk dogs in the evenings after work. About: I've been an animal lover my entire life and have spent hours volunteering at the TBDHS, along with pet sitting and walking my neighbour's dog! I have my own, high-energy dog (Ellie, husky-German shepherd mix) from Northern Critters in Need. Some activities that I do with my dog (and neighbour’s dogs) are hikes, bike rides, the park, and more. I'm used to large dogs pulling occasionally! I also have two cats (Trix and Roux), who are also rescues. Roux is the sweetest cat that flops when you pick her up (kind of like a ragdoll cat), and Trix will talk (meow) at you when she's ready for your attention. While volunteering at the TBDHS, I would do basic care (feeding, brushing, playtime, etc.) and take the dogs for walks and socialize with them until they found their forever homes! I love going for daily walks with my dogs or my neighbour's dogs! I'm available in the afternoon and evening primarily, but can make exceptions for morning and nighttime as well. Since having large and high-energy dogs, I am very used to an active lifestyle. When I take them on hikes, walks, and bike rides, I'm used to them pulling on the leash when they are overly excited. I can (usually) calm them down by patting their chest-area or continuing on our way if necessary.

I am great with animals, I have trained my dogs in the past. Except for the one I grew up with because we got him when I was 1. I like to spend free time either doing crosswords or reading a book maybe watching a movie. Right now I work full time but I would like to work my way around it with this opportunity. About: We always had pets in our family since I was young and we were required to care for them. I have a calm demeanor which seems to calm pets quickly when I meet them which in turn gains their trust. After that I give them lots of love which bonds us! I am a full-time house/petsitter and therefore can put all of my energy into caring for pets and homes. In addition, I don’t have any other obligations. Before a sit is agreed, I will always request a video call or in person visit to get to know the pet owner(s) and hopefully also the pet. I ask as many questions as I can to determine if the pet and I would be a good fit. In addition I find out what, if any, special needs the pet has. With all of this information I am able to do up a plan for the care of the pet.
