About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my whole life—dogs, cats, and even a rabbit! Growing up with pets taught me how to care for animals with patience, love, and lots of belly rubs. I’ve raised dogs from puppyhood to their senior years and currently share my home with two cats and a rabbit. I understand the unique needs of each pet, from playful energy to quiet cuddles, and I’m comfortable with feeding routines, administering medication, and providing safe, loving companionship. Whether your pet needs a long walk, a gentle snuggle, or someone to match their zoomie energy—I’ve got it covered! I’m currently on maternity leave, which means I’m home most of the day and have a flexible schedule. I can easily accommodate daytime walks, drop-ins, and last-minute bookings. Whether your pet needs a quick check-in, a long stroll, or some extra attention while you’re away, I’m here and happy to help! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I provide a calm, loving environment where they’ll feel right at home. I always follow pet parent instructions carefully and make sure your furry friend gets the attention and care they deserve. Whether we’re going for a walk or hanging out at home, I’m mindful, gentle, and fully present. You can relax knowing your pet is in safe, trustworthy hands.

Jay was on time and Paisley responded enthusiastically to her greeting. This was Paisley’s second meeting with Jay. Paisley is forming a connection and we are looking forward to continuing to have Jay and Paisley get to know each other as we prepare for having Jay house sit and care for Paisley in the future. We’re very happy with Jay’s knowledge, understanding and care of Paisley.

About: You can find comfort knowing that I will treat your baby as if they are my own(which I don’t currently have, because I am probably busy watching someone else’s) There are days when I do have to go into the office. They will be home alone for longer periods of time (8 hours max). I aim to keep their daily routine as close to normal as possible for them :) Let me know what your pets day-to-day is like!

About: Reactive dog? Fearful? Stubborn? Old and sore? Young and in-training? All dogs can benefit from my therapeutic approach. If you have a hard time trusting others with your animals because of all size, age, ability, or needs, look no further. I’m here to help. I currently work at an animal shelter and regularly interact with and take care of dogs, cats, and other furry critters. I also am a graduate of Behavioural Science Technology and a positive-reinforcement, force-free dog trainer. Let me know how best I can be of service to you and your furry companions! Whenever I'm not taking care of the animals at the shelter, I am available to take care of your animals: to check up on them, let them out for potty breaks, or take them for satisfying walks and enriching engagement. It’s important that I have all the pertinent information in order to care best for your companions. Having animals of my own, I will always bring my best for your furry friends.

We are traveling in an RV Caravan trip with 24 RV’s and we needed a person to walk our dogs while we were away on an excursion. Janis agreed to meet us at our campground and she met our dogs and came back the next day to walk them. She walked four dogs in all and she did a great job and the dogs you could see enjoyed it from the pictures she sent! Highly recommended!

Have cats, guinea pigs, and rabbits as well, and so am experienced with them, too! I worked as a pet trainer with PetSmart, interacting with dogs of all ages and breeds. I loved my job and helping other pet parents learn to be great communicators with their dogs and advocate for them! I have a specialist honours degree in Comparative Physiology from the University of Toronto, with a major in Biological Anthropology and minor in Psychology. I’ve graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and am a practicing Chiropractor in Sydney. I am a practicing Chiropractor in Sydney. My schedule is quite flexible and my longest shift is typically 6hrs. I am happy to take on booking requests that fit well within my schedule. I believe in being an effective communicator and our pets best advocate. I am continuously researching and learning how to improve as a pet parent and trainer. I do my best to ensure they receive good nutrition, activities, and rest. Understanding the breed(s) and the individual dog has helped me build great relationships with each individual pet.
