About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my whole life—dogs, cats, and even a rabbit! Growing up with pets taught me how to care for animals with patience, love, and lots of belly rubs. I’ve raised dogs from puppyhood to their senior years and currently share my home with two cats and a rabbit. I understand the unique needs of each pet, from playful energy to quiet cuddles, and I’m comfortable with feeding routines, administering medication, and providing safe, loving companionship. Whether your pet needs a long walk, a gentle snuggle, or someone to match their zoomie energy—I’ve got it covered! I’m currently on maternity leave, which means I’m home most of the day and have a flexible schedule. I can easily accommodate daytime walks, drop-ins, and last-minute bookings. Whether your pet needs a quick check-in, a long stroll, or some extra attention while you’re away, I’m here and happy to help! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I provide a calm, loving environment where they’ll feel right at home. I always follow pet parent instructions carefully and make sure your furry friend gets the attention and care they deserve. Whether we’re going for a walk or hanging out at home, I’m mindful, gentle, and fully present. You can relax knowing your pet is in safe, trustworthy hands.

About: I have a diploma in the Veterinary Assistant course offered at Maritime Business College and graduated with a 97% average. I have worked in two different clinics across Nova Scotia. Full time student, assorted availability due to school, please check available times. Weekends can be discussed more in detail, and for overnight stays as I am off. I have certificates in Fear Free animal environments, and further education into dog behaviours and training. I have the world's friendliest pug, who would love to keep your dog company. My house is always full of animals, so your pet will never be lonely. I have no issues crating animals when needed, or giving them medication either, orally, topical or by injection no problem. I will specially look after animals with disabilities, including diabetics. Also catering to exotics, included by not limited to, small animals, pocket pets, fish and reptiles. I WILL NOT use an electric collar if you provide me with one.

About: I have a house full of fluff! Multi-dog home with big and small, male and female. Have done puppyhood and adopted adult dogs. Have cats and guinea pigs as well, and so am experienced with them, too! I work as a pet trainer with PetSmart and interact with dogs of all ages and breeds. I love my job and love helping other pet parents learn to be great communicators with their dogs and advocate for them! I have a specialist honours degree in comparative physiology from the University of Toronto. Once I’ve graduated from CMCCs Doctor of Chiropractic program I will be completing certification in Animal Chiropractic. Have done medication administration including eye drops, pills/tablets, and ointments. I work part time (trainer) and am a 4th year Chiropractic student. Interested in spending more time with critters in the times that I can! I am interested in learning the routine and norms of your pet (including cues/commands, preferences, medications, etc) that will ensure their comfort and consistency. I believe in being an effective communicator and our pets best advocate. I am continuously researching and learning how to improve as a pet parent and trainer. I do my best to ensure they receive good nutrition, activities, and rest. Understanding the breed(s) and the individual dog has helped me build great relationships with my pups.

“We are traveling in an RV Caravan trip with 24 RV’s and we needed a person to walk our dogs while we were away on an excursion. Janis agreed to meet us at our campground and she met our dogs and came back the next day to walk them. She walked four dogs in all and she did a great job and the dogs you could see enjoyed it from the pictures she sent! Highly recommended!”
