“Lauren was reliable and punctual. She walked my dog when I was going to be gone out of the house for a while. She kept in communication and sent me pictures of my dog on their walk. I will definitely book with her again when needed. Thank you Lauren!”

About: I have plenty of pet care experience. Over my lifetime, I have been involved in the care of Dogs, Cats, Birds, Hamsters, Horses, pigs, and Bunnies! I have also been involved in fostering and caring for stray animals including mother cats and their kittens. My family has always had a big heart for animals and those in need. We have even been involved with fostering children and approved throughly through regulation processes. I would love to take care of your family pets :) I am currently in school (online) and do not work which means I am available whenever needed. I do not currently have any pets and am trying to fill that void by helping others care for theirs! If you have any questions, please ask :) I am currently available at all times! I have made the decision to return to school online and do not currently work. I can be available all. Your pet care needs :) I will respect and follow each pets routine and any owner instructions provided. No request is too big for those you consider to be a huge part of your family :)
“Katelyn is actually an angel sent from heaven. She is a dog whisperer and her presence makes flora and i calm. She is reliable, dedicated and most importantly makes me feel safe knowing flora is well taken care of. Lucky to have her in our lives!”
About: You can find comfort knowing that I will treat your baby as if they are my own(which I don’t currently have, because I am probably busy watching someone else’s) There are days when I do have to go into the office. They will be home alone for longer periods of time (8 hours max). I aim to keep their daily routine as close to normal as possible for them :) Let me know what your pets day-to-day is like!
“We are traveling in an RV Caravan trip with 24 RV’s and we needed a person to walk our dogs while we were away on an excursion. Janis agreed to meet us at our campground and she met our dogs and came back the next day to walk them. She walked four dogs in all and she did a great job and the dogs you could see enjoyed it from the pictures she sent! Highly recommended!”

About: I absolutely love dogs and my two golden retrievers are my whole world. Taking care of them has taught me how important patience, routine, and attention are, and I treat every dog I sit with the same way — like part of my family. I make sure they get plenty of walks, playtime, cuddles, and all the little extras that make them feel happy and loved. Every dog is different, and I enjoy learning their quirks and making sure they feel safe, cared for, and completely spoiled while I’m with them. I love dogs and my two golden retrievers are a huge part of my life, so caring for pups fits seamlessly into my day-to-day. I make sure they get walks, playtime, and cuddles without rushing — just like I do with my own dogs. I’m happy to work around schedules, provide consistent care, and make every dog feel comfortable, safe, and loved while I’m with them. Pets aren’t just a job for me; they’re part of my daily life, and I treat every furry friend with the same attention and care I give my own. My home is extremely dog friendly and my dogs are used to other dogs being in the home. We live on a quiet street and have a huge yard for them to run. We also live right next to a beautiful walking trail that I use daily.
“Jay was on time and Paisley responded enthusiastically to her greeting. This was Paisley’s second meeting with Jay. Paisley is forming a connection and we are looking forward to continuing to have Jay and Paisley get to know each other as we prepare for having Jay house sit and care for Paisley in the future. We’re very happy with Jay’s knowledge, understanding and care of Paisley.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Sydney choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
