“Erica did a drop-in for our 9 week old puppy. She was amazing! Lots of great photos, and kept Franey well entertained. I’d recommend her to anyone, and will definitely request her again.”

“Katherine is a star! She took great care of my 2 cats for a week. She made my vacation completely stress free; we’ve never left our cats alone. She sent me regular updates and pictures of the cats. Would definitely recommend her if you want your fur babies in excellent hands.”

“We were so nervous about leaving our cat, Mystique, for the first time—especially since she’s usually very shy around new people. But Tera completely put our minds at ease. From the moment we met her, she was warm, friendly, and professional. She took the time to really understand Mystique's needs and quirks, which meant so much to us. Tera went above and beyond during every visit. She was incredibly communicative, even going out of her way to send us updates and pictures—despite us having bad cell service and not always being able to respond. It was so reassuring to see how comfortable Mystique became with her! It’s clear Tera has a natural connection with animals and truly cares about their wellbeing. She was also super reliable and thoughtful, even keeping an eye on the weather to make sure she could safely make it to all her appointments with Mystique. That extra level of care and planning did not go unnoticed. We can’t thank Tera enough for making a stressful situation feel so much easier. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again, and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a compassionate, dependable, and truly exceptional pet sitter.”

“Jay was an excellent cat sitter for my two diabetic kitties! Having someone so friendly and competent really put my mind at ease. She even gave them toys and treats as a gift. Would highly recommend!”

About: Reactive dog? Fearful? Stubborn? Old and sore? Young and in-training? All dogs can benefit from my therapeutic approach. If you have a hard time trusting others with your animals because of all size, age, ability, or needs, look no further. I’m here to help. I currently work at an animal shelter and regularly interact with and take care of dogs, cats, and other furry critters. I also am a graduate of Behavioural Science Technology and a positive-reinforcement, force-free dog trainer. Let me know how best I can be of service to you and your furry companions! Whenever I'm not taking care of the animals at the shelter, I am available to take care of your animals: to check up on them, let them out for potty breaks, or take them for satisfying walks and enriching engagement. It’s important that I have all the pertinent information in order to care best for your companions. Having animals of my own, I will always bring my best for your furry friends.

About: Growing up with dogs has been an incredible joy, and I genuinely love caring for them. They bring immense happiness and fulfillment to my life! For the past 4 years, I’ve proudly volunteered with Eldor Dogs, helping seniors by walking and caring for their furry companions. It’s such a rewarding experience! I work full-time from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, but I’m quite flexible outside those hours! Occasionally, I even have some free time during the day to take care of your dogs. I’m truly excited to help you out! I can drive your dog to explore Cape Breton, taking them to all their favorite spots for walks and fun! Plus, I come fully prepared with a clean vulnerable sector check and criminal record check from my volunteering with Eldor Dog and my job with the children’s hospital.

About: I have a house full of fluff! Multi-dog home with big and small, male and female. Have done puppyhood and adopted adult dogs. Have cats and guinea pigs as well, and so am experienced with them, too! I work as a pet trainer with PetSmart and interact with dogs of all ages and breeds. I love my job and love helping other pet parents learn to be great communicators with their dogs and advocate for them! I have a specialist honours degree in comparative physiology from the University of Toronto. Once I’ve graduated from CMCCs Doctor of Chiropractic program I will be completing certification in Animal Chiropractic. Have done medication administration including eye drops, pills/tablets, and ointments. I work part time (trainer) and am a 4th year Chiropractic student. Interested in spending more time with critters in the times that I can! I am interested in learning the routine and norms of your pet (including cues/commands, preferences, medications, etc) that will ensure their comfort and consistency. I believe in being an effective communicator and our pets best advocate. I am continuously researching and learning how to improve as a pet parent and trainer. I do my best to ensure they receive good nutrition, activities, and rest. Understanding the breed(s) and the individual dog has helped me build great relationships with my pups.
