“Janet arrived early. She was very pleasant and great with my rescue dog, carley. She got down on the floor to comfort her when I left. Carley was happy and calm when I got home. I will get Janet again for sure.”

About: I’ve cared for dogs and cats of all ages from playful puppies to calm senior companions. My experience includes daily walks, feeding, basic training reinforcement, and providing comfort for pets who get anxious when their owners are away. What sets me apart is my attention to detail and calm, patient approach. I take time to learn each pet’s routine and personality, making sure they feel safe and loved while you’re gone. I also understand canine body language and stress signals, so I can spot when a pet needs space, comfort, or playtime. Whether it’s giving medication, keeping up with training, or just offering companionship, I treat every animal as if they were my own with kindness, consistency, and care. After my morning shift at work, my days are wide open — which means I have lots of time to spend with pets. I usually head out for walks, play sessions, or check-ins in the afternoon and evening. Since my schedule’s super flexible, I can easily work around your pet’s normal routine. Whether it’s a quick visit, a long walk, or just hanging out for company, I love filling my day with furry friends who make it more fun. When I’m house or pet sitting, I treat your home and pets with the same care I’d want for my own. I make sure your pets stick to their normal routine — same feeding times, walks, and play — so they feel relaxed and comfortable while you’re away. I take time to build trust and always move at their pace, especially with pets who are shy or need a little extra patience. I’m careful with doors, gates, and anything that could affect their safety, and I always leave your home tidy and just how you left it. I can also handle small things like bringing in mail, watering plants, or keeping everything neat so it looks lived in. I like sending updates and photos too, so you know everything (and everyone!) is doing great.
About: I have been trusted to care for many of my friends/ families pets. I have three dogs, two cats and a rabbit at home, but I’m away for school right now. I’m missing them so I am hoping to be able to meet new pets while I’m away! I have 3 high energy dog breeds and have dealt with any situation you can think of. I am reliable and trustworthy, and will give your fur baby the best care possible! I’m currently in teachers college and am available most days out of the week! I have classes Monday -Thursday and I am home every evening. I have a bunch of walking trails right across from my house, with plenty of room for your fur baby to run and play. I can crate your dog if needed and only am out of the house at maximum six hours a day, so your pet will be in great hands!

About: Hi folks! 👋🏼 My name is Michaela. I’m a vet med worker, a mama to a multi-pet household, and am a passionate animal rescue volunteer/foster. I’ve been involved with caring for animals in various settings for nearly two decades. I take pride in my ability to treat animals of all sorts with the utmost respect and love regardless of their history. It’s a top priority of mine to make sure each pet feels safe and comfortable when they’re with me! I believe it’s integral to take my time building a bond with them. Through both my academic and professional experiences, I’ve done additional behavioural training that provides me with more understanding and knowledge on how to make a safe space for both cats and dogs by reducing fear, stress, and anxiety. I have a keen passion for providing care to pets in their golden years and/or who have medical needs. If your pet requires medication to be administered - I’m your gal! If you and your pet are comfortable with it, I often try to sneak in a good nail trim or ear cleaning! Another bonus is that I love to take and send photos of your pet (if allowed) so you can see how they’re doing. 🐾 If you have any questions and/or are interested in booking, send me a message! I look forward to meeting you and your pet(s). - Fear Free certified - Rates are negotiable I currently have a flexible schedule now that I’ve returned to the area and am able to accommodate additional bookings and drop-ins for your pets! Let me know what particular needs are required, I’ll do everything I can to meet them. I have a sharp eye for minimizing potential dangers in various settings.
About: I’ve had the privilege of growing up at my family’s boarding kennel. I’ve worked with all breeds and behaviour types, I can say with confidence that I would be a great fit to care for your pets. I can work with your schedule and find solutions based on what is needed for your fur family. My work is flexible and would let me take time as needed to preform tasks such as house visits or walking. As a pet care professional I base my care on what the owner’s instructions are and the needs of the animals. For over night care, I would normally have your dog out 2-3 times per day with a walk once per day. For walking services, I have 30 minute and 1 hour walks, you can provide your own leash but I have slip leashes as well.

About: Although I may not be very experienced at dog sitting, I can assure that I am excellent at following instructions in terms of dog care. Most importantly I love all animals and most of my expertise is with cats but it would be a new and exciting experience to pour my heart out in taking care of dogs I have no job and I’m just a university student who studies barely anything so most of my attention would be towards the pets so with my service I can provide all the attention and needs of a pet be it playing, cleaning, hugging, petting, feeding etc I have had 3 cats back home in India I keep them indoors as its risky to leave them out in India. I would still follow the same in canada as I have taken care of a family’s 4 cats multiple times here throughout last year and this year very recently, literally a week before of making my account. I follow their detailed instructions in terms of food and cleaning and most importantly the love and care for all the kitties so much so that i cuddle and sleep with 2 of them as they are more open to it

North Bay pet parents share their Rover experiences
Michaela was fantastic, the day before we left town my dog cut her tail open. I let Michaela know and she handled it for the entire weekend, which was no small task. I 100% recommend if you are looking for someone friendly, professional and huge animal lover. It was very clear to me the time and attention she gave both my girls when I was away.

Michaela was outstanding. We had her house sit our husky and cat on our wedding weekend and we could not have felt better about it. Our husky can be anxious around new people and reactive on walks but Michaela was able to meet him first and handled him beautifully, making everyone comfortable. She sent us pictures through the weekend and kept us up to date on what was happening. So glad I gave Rover a shot and booked her!
