It's always so hard to leave our little fur babies alone especially under a year. Kristina has left all those worries behind. Definitely recommend 10/10

About: Hi! I’m here to meet your furry babies. 🐾 Before moving to Canada, I spent 16 wonderful years caring for my own dog. Since we’re no longer living together, every opportunity to spend time with other pets truly makes me happy. (He is still happy, healthy and very much alive😂) Because I cared for a senior dog, I’m comfortable with basic medical care, including applying eye drops, ointments, giving pills or powdered type medication, and administering subcutaneous (under-the-skin) fluids if needed. I’m also happy to give your pet a bath if you’d like, as long as you provide the bath supplies. Also, I don’t offer full grooming services but I can trim nails and do light face trimming if you provide the necessary tools. Since moving to Canada, I’ve cared for puppies, adult dogs, small breeds, large breeds, kittens, and adult cats. To respect my clients’ privacy, I didn’t upload photos of pets I’ve cared for in my profile. However, while your pet is with me, I love sending lots of photos and videos every day, so you can feel connected and never have to worry too much or miss them too much! Please, feel free to share as many many details as possible about your pets—their routines, personalities, likes, dislikes, and anything else that helps me provide the best care for them! Can’t wait to meet new furry babies! ❤️ I’m currently staying home most of the time, so I’m available to work around your schedule on both weekdays and weekends. I usually take dogs out 3–4 times a day, but I’m happy to follow whatever routine they’re used to. If you have any preferences, such as extra outdoor time, indoor-only activities, or a specific potty schedule, I’d love to know in advance! As a owner of small old dog, your pet’s safety is always my priority. My home has two staircases and an attic. Whenever I take care of small dogs, I usually block off the stairs leading to the attic to help prevent injuries from jumping or climbing. And if you dońt want your little one to jump onto the couch or bed, Just let me know in advance! I also have a small front yard and backyard without fence, I always keep dogs on a leash whenever we step outside, even for a quick potty break. Our neighborhood is quiet, with a nearby school, making it a great area for safe walks. If I’m caring for your pet in your home, I’m happy to follow your house rules and routine. Just let me know which areas of your home you’d like me to stay in and any preferences you have while I’m there.

Meghan was honestly nothing but amazing with our cat this past week! She was super reliable, kept us in the loop the whole time, and just made everything feel so easy and stress-free. You can tell she genuinely loves and cares about the animals she looks after, and we are so so grateful for her! I just know we will be coming home to a very happy and relaxed cat! I’d 100% recommended her to anyone-we will be booking her again and again!! 💕

Maxine is super nice and easy to get along with. She's great with my Newfoundland dog. You can tell she cares and even offered to brush him while they hung out. She also doesn't take long to answer any texts. We're both very happy with the service.

About: I have 6 years of pet care experience. I started when I moved up for university and began watching people's pets for extra cash for classes and found that I really enjoyed working with animals (and their owners too!). I've mostly worked with dogs and cats but I'm open to learning and working with other types of animals too! I'm currently working on a part-time basis, so I have plenty of availability to work around your schedule. I have access to a vehicle so I can come to you and be available at any time of day. I have a fenced-in yard with a high gate and access to different trails and parks in close proximity to my home. I am more than willing to care for pets where they are most comfortable, including at your home and take them for walks to familiar places for them.

About: I helped and continue to help look after my sister’s small dog for many years. I started when he was younger and now into old age. I have also helped look after an older and bigger dog for a few months, while their health unfortunately declined. Looking to gain more experience and knowledge for all sorts of lovely dogs. I’m currently working full-time as a Pharmacy Assistant, I have availability early mornings and in the evenings as well as some weekends. I may also have availability during the day on a few week days. Pet care in own home includes; providing sufficient water and food throughout the day, taking outside for bodily functions either on property or a walk. Picking up after when outside/on a walk and properly disposing of it. Making sure pet has collar and leash on when needed. Providing treats every so often. Cleaning off dog when needed from being outside in the elements I.E. rain/mud. Making sure to keep away from other dogs that are not known to each other. Same as above for clients home and outside of the home as well as providing updates and photos of their dog/pet. Also administering medication when required.

About: Growing up, I always had dogs I was in charge of taking care of. At the peak of my experience, I was in charge of four dogs, simultaneously, where I groomed them, walked them, fed them, and insured their health/safety. Additionally, I have looked after the dogs of friends and family, as well as as grooming. Both dogs and cats have always been a big part of my life, and because I am no longer able to have pets after moving, I believe this would be an exceptional opportunity for me to spend some time doing something I love; helping animals. I am currently working part-time, while taking courses online, so I have a very flexible schedule to help the care for your pets. Later or earlier hours are better for me to ensure I am available every day, but I am usually available on weekdays around noon as well. How I care for your pets will greatly depend on both your needs, as well as your pets needs. My top priority is ensuring the safety and well-being of the animal, so although my practice is very case specific, I can ensure every decision I make will be in reflection to your pet’s safety.

About: I’ve been walking dogs since I was 12 years old. During my 8 years of pet care experience, I have walked small dogs to dogs that are 100+ lbs, I have cared for low energy, and high-energy animals and have been trusted with caring for animals while owners are away. I also have experience caring for animals at a wildlife rehabilitation centre! I am working full-time Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4pm. I can work around it in the mornings and evenings. Dog walking, house sitting, and drop ins are a great fit for me! Ensuring my pets have access to everything they need comes first. Water always has to be available, and they should never have to wait to be let out to potty. I love going for walks, playing fetch, and in general being playful with animals. I’ve always been extremely confident and at ease with pets and they are a big part of my every day life.

About: I have a lifelong passion for animals and have cared for both dogs and cats my entire life. Since moving to my new community of North Bay to attend school, I’ve started volunteering at the local humane society, where I walk dogs and spend time visiting with the cats. I’m comfortable handling a variety of pet care tasks, whether they require high-energy activities or more gentle, low-intensity care. I’m dedicated, flexible, and ready to give pets the attention and care they need. I’m currently attending university and have a very flexible schedule, with Fridays through Mondays off, which allows me plenty of time to care for your pets. I also genuinely enjoy walking and spending time with animals, especially as I miss my own fur baby. I can care for your animals and follow whichever direct instructions are given. I respect what each and every owner does to raise their animals.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Pet Sitting in North Bay on Rover is $34.41 per visit (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Pet Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Pet Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 32 sitters on Rover for Pet Sitting in North Bay. About 86% of North Bay sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a North Bay stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:

  • Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
  • House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
  • Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.

Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in North Bay choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
