“Maxine is great with my dog. She loves giving him scratches and belly rubs, and I know he loves it too. Maxine responds to texts swiftly and is flexible. I have no worries when my dog is with Maxine and that he'll get the attention he needs. ❤️”

About: I have 6 years of pet care experience. I started when I moved up for university and began watching people's pets for extra cash for classes and found that I really enjoyed working with animals (and their owners too!). I've mostly worked with dogs and cats but I'm open to learning and working with other types of animals too! I'm currently working on a part-time basis, so I have plenty of availability to work around your schedule. I have access to a vehicle so I can come to you and be available at any time of day. I have a fenced-in yard with a high gate and access to different trails and parks in close proximity to my home. I am more than willing to care for pets where they are most comfortable, including at your home and take them for walks to familiar places for them.
About: I have taken care of fosters and pets for almost 10 years. I love taking care of different animals, I feel very upset when I see them pain. If I could I will adopt all the animals in the world and give them a better place to live. I am available mostly as I have flexible work schedule. I live in an apartment which has a very nice pathway for dog walks and there are lovely parks near me where I take all the fur babies. I will keep you updated everyday with lots of photos and videos. I am very attentive and believe in giving the fur baby sometime to adjust itself with me. I will be very calm and show affection with little things like slowly start playing games with them. I talk with them in a very low soothing voice to make them trust me that I will not harm them in anyway. I know different pet behaviours as I have spent much time with fosters and I can easily spot something unusual.
About: I’ve been walking dogs since I was 12 years old. During my 8 years of pet care experience, I have walked small dogs to dogs that are 100+ lbs, I have cared for low energy, and high-energy animals and have been trusted with caring for animals while owners are away. I also have experience caring for animals at a wildlife rehabilitation centre! I am working full-time Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4pm. I can work around it in the mornings and evenings. Dog walking, house sitting, and drop ins are a great fit for me! Ensuring my pets have access to everything they need comes first. Water always has to be available, and they should never have to wait to be let out to potty. I love going for walks, playing fetch, and in general being playful with animals. I’ve always been extremely confident and at ease with pets and they are a big part of my every day life.
About: I have worked with animals all my life and am very comfortable with all ages, sizes and breeds! I can help follow through with training if needed. I am a very energetic person, your pets will have loads of fun :) I am currently on rotation. So it’s tough for me to book for the same time every week. However I am open to connecting about availability weekly to book walks if you would like weekly services. Send me a request and I will be back to you as fast as I can to let you know if I am available. Unfortunately I can’t take pets in my home due to my rental agreement. However I am for sure open to visiting your home for drop-ins!
About: Growing up, I always had dogs I was in charge of taking care of. At the peak of my experience, I was in charge of four dogs, simultaneously, where I groomed them, walked them, fed them, and insured their health/safety. Additionally, I have looked after the dogs of friends and family, as well as as grooming. Both dogs and cats have always been a big part of my life, and because I am no longer able to have pets after moving, I believe this would be an exceptional opportunity for me to spend some time doing something I love; helping animals. I am currently working part-time, while taking courses online, so I have a very flexible schedule to help the care for your pets. Later or earlier hours are better for me to ensure I am available every day, but I am usually available on weekdays around noon as well. How I care for your pets will greatly depend on both your needs, as well as your pets needs. My top priority is ensuring the safety and well-being of the animal, so although my practice is very case specific, I can ensure every decision I make will be in reflection to your pet’s safety.
“She is just the SWEETEST! Our babies got so comfortable with her. Yoshi is usually very shy and anxious but he looked comfortable with her. Absolutely loved how she cleaned everything! She is going to be our go to person from now on!”

About: I have grown up in a house full of animals my entire life. I previously worked at “DogGoneWalking” in Waterloo for just over a year! During my time at “DGW” I walked countless dogs of all shapes and sizes, provided transportation as a “Pet Taxi” and completed plenty of drop in visits! I am currently working part-time and trying to start my own Dog walking business! My schedule for walks and drop in visits is very open, I do work some mornings so preferred walk or visit time would be after 10:00 a.m! I have one 6 year old, medium size Norwegian Elkhound named Luna! She is very playful and LOVES other dogs, she was raised in a house of 4 dogs the first 5 years of her life and is always looking for new friends!
About: Hello! Chelseys the name, being a dog mom is my game! I am a 27yo loving dog mom to two high energy but very well trained and obedient springer spaniels - they are very socialized with other dogs and we do at least 2-4 hours of trail walks and runs per day - and on really bad weather days we do some interactive training! Looking to spend a little extra time outdoors this winter and help fellow dog owners out on long days when I can be available, which as of right now my schedule is very open! I often overnight watch many of my friends dogs, sometimes 4 at a time for long periods of time, often for daycare with me and the boys while they are working long weeks. If you hire me to take care of your pooch I can promise you they will be active all day and very well taken care of - me and the dogs spend alot of the day outside on the trails or venturing around to find new fenced in spots to let them run! *Note also that both my dogs are crate trained - so I do not necessarily require that yours be as well! Also don't forget, if you're hesitant because you don't understand the system, please know there is a chat preference once you attempt to book before you confirm that will allow you to communicate with me before final bookings! Additional Service included: Pet Photography, another one of my passions! When you're away and I'm caring for your pets - I will take a number of beautifully shot photos to digitally send you while you're gone. From action shots to sleepy mornings! I'll capture some key shots and give you the piece of mind in a stunning photo of your pooch! Photos are yours to keep and use as you want! (See some of my favourite shots I've taken recently on profile) Also, 2020 has forced me to raise my rates with such a demand - I can work with you if you have a budget though don't hesitate to message me.
“Ashlyne was prompt and efficient while getting the old boy Buddy outside to use the bathroom. Loved the pics she would send everyday! Will definitely book again to walk our younger dog!”

There are 37 sitters on Rover for Pet Sitting in North Bay. About 83% of North Bay sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.
Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.
A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.
Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a North Bay stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.
Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in North Bay choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
