About: I work 100% from home running my coaching business, which means your pup will always have plenty of attention and care. I started dog sitting on Rover in 2023 while living in Oakville, where I proudly cared for over 50 happy clients—all leaving 5-star reviews. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I do provide tons of photos and videos - please let me know if you wish to receive less frequent updates. Now, I live on a beautiful 12-acre property in South River, ON, which offers plenty of space for dogs to safely explore and enjoy nature. **** All outside time is supervised by me, including my own pup. **** If you do not want your dog to be off-leash on my property, I will leash walk your pup. I have flexibilities and am available most the days and weeks as long as they are scheduled in my calendar. Usually I am able to accommodate change of plan within 4-hour window. I love the dogs for who they are. I want to give them the best of what I have and what they deserve. 🐶My dog🐶 PIKE: Yellow Labrador Retriever (June 2022), INTACT, well-trained, energetic. What You Can Expect: 🐾 Constant supervision and love while you're away 🌲 Safe outdoor adventures on my spacious property 🐕 Plenty of playtime with my dog (if compatible) 🏡 Clean, cozy indoor spaces for rest and relaxation ********TO ALL******** - I don’t take dogs to any dog park - I don’t let dogs go off leash in public - Please pick up before 7pm; otherwise a $25 late pick-up fee will be applied - one 42" crate, one 48" crate, two play pens, and one large cot available - Do not accept boarding request over one month (this refers to new client ONLY) - Will be multiple dogs at home, but only ONE new dog at a time - Dogs are allowed on furniture & bed, only if owners allow their dogs the same at home; otherwise I will follow owner's practice. - If your dog has specific command or routine that you'd like me to follow, such as release word, please let me know ************************ 🔴Boarding service: - Meet & Greet ("M&G") is a MUST. Please note my dog is intact, male. - I am happy to learn your pup's routine/habit/command as if he/she is at home, as long as instructions are provided. - Happy to provide Pike's treats (usually one-ingredient freeze dried treats) - Please inform any allergies and/or things/behaviour that your pup dislikes 🔴Daycare service: - "M&G" is a MUST - Pick-up time must be before 7pm, otherwise additional $25 late pick-up fee will be charged - Please inform allergies and/or things/behaviour your pup dislikes 🔴Dogwalk service: - no dog interaction on the walk - Prefer M&G at owner's house before starting the walk - Additional charge may apply depending on my travel distance 🔴Drop-in service: - Includes but not limited to: walk, play, feed - Prefer M&G at owner's house before visit - Additional charge may apply depending on my travel distance I’d love to connect with your dog first before I bring Pike for him to steal my thunder 😆 Depending your preference, for M&G, we can walk our dogs together for quick 5 mins. I’d like to spend some time with your dog first - please bring some treats so I can “bribe” lol then I will have Pike meet your dog to see if it would be a good fit. On the first day, I will spend 10 to 15mins with your dog first before I introduce him/her to the fur friend 😆 With 12-acre land, we do not have fenced area. However I do supervise my dog whenever he's out there, and he has perfect recalls. I have a 40-feet long leash available if your pup does not respond to "come" command perfectly, so he/she will be leashed outside with lots of space to explore.

There are 40 sitters on Rover for Pet Sitting in South River. About 83% of South River sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.
Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.
A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.
Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a South River stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.
Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in South River choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
