About: I’ve had the privilege of growing up at my family’s boarding kennel. I’ve worked with all breeds and behaviour types, I can say with confidence that I would be a great fit to care for your pets. I can work with your schedule and find solutions based on what is needed for your fur family. My work is flexible and would let me take time as needed to preform tasks such as house visits or walking. As a pet care professional I base my care on what the owner’s instructions are and the needs of the animals. For over night care, I would normally have your dog out 2-3 times per day with a walk once per day. For walking services, I have 30 minute and 1 hour walks, you can provide your own leash but I have slip leashes as well.
About: I have 6 years of pet care experience. I started when I moved up for university and began watching people's pets for extra cash for classes and found that I really enjoyed working with animals (and their owners too!). I've mostly worked with dogs and cats but I'm open to learning and working with other types of animals too! I'm currently working on a part-time basis, so I have plenty of availability to work around your schedule. I have access to a vehicle so I can come to you and be available at any time of day. I have a fenced-in yard with a high gate and access to different trails and parks in close proximity to my home. I am more than willing to care for pets where they are most comfortable, including at your home and take them for walks to familiar places for them.
“Maxine was fantastic walking our large breed dog Aries. She was patient with him and helped him to get comfortable on such a cold day. She shows a genuine level of care and kindness. I wouldn't hesitate to use her services again.”

About: Hi folks! 👋🏼 My name is Michaela. I’m a vet med worker, a mama to a multi-pet household, and am a passionate animal rescue volunteer/foster. I’ve been involved with caring for animals in various settings for nearly two decades. I take pride in my ability to treat animals of all sorts with the utmost respect and love regardless of their history. It’s a top priority of mine to make sure each pet feels safe and comfortable when they’re with me! I believe it’s integral to take my time building a bond with them. Through both my academic and professional experiences, I’ve done additional behavioural training that provides me with more understanding and knowledge on how to make a safe space for both cats and dogs by reducing fear, stress, and anxiety. I have a keen passion for providing care to pets in their golden years and/or who have medical needs. If your pet requires medication to be administered - I’m your gal! If you and your pet are comfortable with it, I often try to sneak in a good nail trim or ear cleaning! Another bonus is that I love to take and send photos of your pet (if allowed) so you can see how they’re doing. 🐾 If you have any questions and/or are interested in booking, send me a message! I look forward to meeting you and your pet(s). - Fear Free certified - Rates are negotiable I currently have a flexible schedule now that I’ve returned to the area and am able to accommodate additional bookings and drop-ins for your pets! Let me know what particular needs are required, I’ll do everything I can to meet them. I have a sharp eye for minimizing potential dangers in various settings.

“Sara is so good with Sadie! I know that Sadie is well taken care of when Sara takes her for her evening walks - she will always inform me on anything important and makes sure Sadie is happy when she leaves. Couldn’t recommend more :)”

About: Growing up, I always had dogs I was in charge of taking care of. At the peak of my experience, I was in charge of four dogs, simultaneously, where I groomed them, walked them, fed them, and insured their health/safety. Additionally, I have looked after the dogs of friends and family, as well as as grooming. Both dogs and cats have always been a big part of my life, and because I am no longer able to have pets after moving, I believe this would be an exceptional opportunity for me to spend some time doing something I love; helping animals. I am currently working part-time, while taking courses online, so I have a very flexible schedule to help the care for your pets. Later or earlier hours are better for me to ensure I am available every day, but I am usually available on weekdays around noon as well. How I care for your pets will greatly depend on both your needs, as well as your pets needs. My top priority is ensuring the safety and well-being of the animal, so although my practice is very case specific, I can ensure every decision I make will be in reflection to your pet’s safety.

About: Been around dogs for the majority of my life I have bred goldendoodles for five years. Experienced training puppies and also adult dogs. I also have experience with senior dogs. I also had senior dogs myself. I just retired from 35 years in the military so now I have time to pursue this since I do love being around dogs. I thought this would be a great opportunity. But a great way to spend some of my free time. I would prefer to go to the client's pets even if that means taking them out for a daily walk or making sure they’re OK and checking on them spend some time with them. Every dog likes a good belly rub or scratch or just a hug's home and looks after their pets even if that means taking them out for a daily walk or to make sure they’re OK and check on them to spend some time with them. Every dog likes a good belly rub or scratch or just a hug.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in North Bay choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
