About: I have 6 years of pet care experience. I started when I moved up for university and began watching people's pets for extra cash for classes and found that I really enjoyed working with animals (and their owners too!). I've mostly worked with dogs and cats but I'm open to learning and working with other types of animals too! I'm currently working on a part-time basis, so I have plenty of availability to work around your schedule. I have access to a vehicle so I can come to you and be available at any time of day. I have a fenced-in yard with a high gate and access to different trails and parks in close proximity to my home. I am more than willing to care for pets where they are most comfortable, including at your home and take them for walks to familiar places for them.

About: Hi! I’m here to meet your furry babies. 🐾 Before moving to Canada, I spent 16 wonderful years caring for my own dog. Since we’re no longer living together, every opportunity to spend time with other pets truly makes me happy. (He is still happy, healthy and very much alive😂) Because I cared for a senior dog, I’m comfortable with basic medical care, including applying eye drops, ointments, giving pills or powdered type medication, and administering subcutaneous (under-the-skin) fluids if needed. I’m also happy to give your pet a bath if you’d like, as long as you provide the bath supplies. Also, I don’t offer full grooming services but I can trim nails and do light face trimming if you provide the necessary tools. Since moving to Canada, I’ve cared for puppies, adult dogs, small breeds, large breeds, kittens, and adult cats. To respect my clients’ privacy, I didn’t upload photos of pets I’ve cared for in my profile. However, while your pet is with me, I love sending lots of photos and videos every day, so you can feel connected and never have to worry too much or miss them too much! Please, feel free to share as many many details as possible about your pets—their routines, personalities, likes, dislikes, and anything else that helps me provide the best care for them! Can’t wait to meet new furry babies! ❤️ I’m currently staying home most of the time, so I’m available to work around your schedule on both weekdays and weekends. I usually take dogs out 3–4 times a day, but I’m happy to follow whatever routine they’re used to. If you have any preferences, such as extra outdoor time, indoor-only activities, or a specific potty schedule, I’d love to know in advance! As a owner of small old dog, your pet’s safety is always my priority. My home has two staircases and an attic. Whenever I take care of small dogs, I usually block off the stairs leading to the attic to help prevent injuries from jumping or climbing. And if you dońt want your little one to jump onto the couch or bed, Just let me know in advance! I also have a small front yard and backyard without fence, I always keep dogs on a leash whenever we step outside, even for a quick potty break. Our neighborhood is quiet, with a nearby school, making it a great area for safe walks. If I’m caring for your pet in your home, I’m happy to follow your house rules and routine. Just let me know which areas of your home you’d like me to stay in and any preferences you have while I’m there.

About: Hi folks! 👋🏼 My name is Michaela. I’m a vet med worker, a mama to a multi-pet household, and am a passionate animal rescue volunteer/foster. I’ve been involved with caring for animals in various settings for nearly two decades. I take pride in my ability to treat animals of all sorts with the utmost respect and love regardless of their history. It’s a top priority of mine to make sure each pet feels safe and comfortable when they’re with me! I believe it’s integral to take my time building a bond with them. Through both my academic and professional experiences, I’ve done additional behavioural training that provides me with more understanding and knowledge on how to make a safe space for both cats and dogs by reducing fear, stress, and anxiety. I have a keen passion for providing care to pets in their golden years and/or who have medical needs. If your pet requires medication to be administered - I’m your gal! If you and your pet are comfortable with it, I often try to sneak in a good nail trim or ear cleaning! Another bonus is that I love to take and send photos of your pet (if allowed) so you can see how they’re doing. 🐾 If you have any questions and/or are interested in booking, send me a message! I look forward to meeting you and your pet(s). - Fear Free certified - Rates are negotiable I currently have a flexible schedule now that I’ve returned to the area and am able to accommodate additional bookings and drop-ins for your pets! Let me know what particular needs are required, I’ll do everything I can to meet them. I have a sharp eye for minimizing potential dangers in various settings.

We were so happy with the care and attention Maxine gave to our girl, Izzy. She took the time to meet us before our booking, sent us updates and pictures while she was with her and tuckered her out which is exactly what we wanted for her! We will definitely be rebooking with Maxine the next time we’re in need of a sitter! Thank you, Maxine!

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in North Bay choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
