About: I have taken care of dogs, cats, lizards, and bunnies since my early teens. Since I was young my family members and friends have always trusted me with their pets!:) I have also had experience with reactive pets and I am able to adapt and pay attention to the boundaries that your furry friend may place! I love furry friends that roam the earth. I have always watched family members and friends animals through out the years. Recently I heard that there has been a shortage of genuine care takers for pets and that breaks my heart. I too have been tasked in the past to trust someone to watch my beloved fur baby while on a trip, and the last thing you want to do is worry about them and if they are being treated properly or not. I like to consider myself an active person so going for long walks fits into my lifestyle quite nice but I also love just cuddling up with a blanket and a pet for a nice movie night in. I have a good routine with my animals at home to spend some time together in the morning which is usually an hour before work, and then to take them for an 1-2 hour walk after work! If need be i am also happy to stop in during my lunch breaks to check on pets:). I usually have a steady work schedule of days, but every now and then I have a night shift which usually animals are happy about because it means it’s a pretty active day before the shift starts! I currently only have my cat with my now, but I sometimes during the year I will have my partners dog living with me as well! I don’t have a fenced im yard however I do have a long leash outside to keep them on while we spend the evenings soaking in the summer sun if we aren’t already on a walk!

I'm also a great communicator and will keep you updated so you know your pet is in good hands :) My background: I've been an obsessive animal lover for as long as I can remember. I grew up walking our family dog and taking care of our cat as well as volunteering at my local SPCA, caring for the cats and dogs there. I have also volunteered at local wildlife rehabs for many years now, and professionally, I work as a wildlife biologist. About: Hi! My name is Rosa. I have lived with and cared for many dogs and cats, and done regular dog walking for many years. In your home, I will carefully adhere to whatever safety precautions you have in place to protect your precious dogs and cats - be it keeping gates, doors or windows shut and crating when necessary. I can only pet sit at your home, although doggy day-care is available in our large garden - which is fenced, with ample shade under a big magnolia tree, and grassy area to play on, we have a trampoline which the doggos love to nap under too!

About: I work from home and I have lots of love to give! I’ve owned dogs and cats in the past, but currently do not have any animals of my own. I have a lot of time and energy to spend with your fur baby. I love going for long walks too. I live in town. My house is empty, there are no other pets at the moment. Many animals who come stay with me are very relaxed in my quiet house.

About: I've worked with dogs of all temperaments. Shy or nervous rescue dogs are no problem! I can handle any dog, big or small, high energy, timid, low energy, large breeds, or large personalities. I live in walking distance of the dog park, as well as a wooded trail system for your pup’s enjoyment. I never stop learning about dogs so you can rest assured knowing you have one of the best looking after your pets. I am layed off of my full time career for the winter so my time is your pets time. I am available most days and overnight with very few exceptions. Whether caring for pets in my home or theirs, I prioritize their comfort, routine, and well being. In my home I create a safe and welcoming environment (I have plenty of toys and very soft blankets for them). I have just as much energy as your pup and give them plenty of play time, exercise, and affection. I follow any special instructions strictly, Including feeding schedules, medications, walking routines, and anything else they may need from me. About: I am an art therapist, currently working as a support worker for KSCL. I also facilitate art therapy sessions about twice a month for the Kootenay Brain Injury Association. I have many years experience caring for animals, both cats and dogs. I grew up with both and currently have a cat here in Nelson. I am active and love getting out for walks and hiking in the mountains. I am capable of all dog care related duties such as bathing/grooming and some training. I am comfortable with dogs of all ages, sizes and breeds. As a dog walker I’d like to lend a helping hand and give your animals the care, attention and activity they need while you are away. My schedule has me working 2 days a week with 1 overnight shift on Mondays. The art therapy happens approximately twice a month and are 2 hour sessions. I have plenty of flexibility throughout my week to help care for your pets. I ensure all things in a home that are unsafe for animals are out of reach. I always make sure there is fresh drinking water and the house is a reasonable temperature. About: I am a full-time nursing student, with past experience working in a vet clinic, so I have a great understanding of ways to soothe your pet if they get nervous while you’re away. I also am confident in providing first aid and CPR to your pet in the event of an emergency while you are away. I am also confident in pilling your pets if they are on any medications! I am a full-time nursing student, I’m currently in hospital 2 days a week and on campus 3 days a week. I generally don’t take bookings on hospital days due to the early mornings and time away from your pets, but please reach out as I do make expectations to this! I’m available to stay ant your home overnight with your pet or pop in a few times a day, whatever you and your pet prefer. Ensuring that your pet is well fed and tended to before I leave for classes is my priority each morning. Throughout the week I will not be able to drop in on your pet during the day, as my classes run back to back, but I am more than willing to work with a neighbour or dog walker of your choice to make sure your pet gets their needs met! I like to ensure that I have a complete schedule of everything your pet needs during the day, including feeding times, walks, medications, playtimes, etc., which I am happy to create and send a copy to you prior to you leaving upon request. I also have roughly 3 years of experience working at a local vet clinic and have been trained in pet CPR, post-surgical care, and am able to recognize the early signs of many emergent conditions.

About: I have always cherished a profound and sacred connection with animals throughout my entire life. I had a very close relationship with my three pit bull labs growing up. I grew up with golden retrievers and most recently rescued a 2 year old lab/husky mix of my own named Bee. She’s timid at first but is great with dogs. She loves to hang out on the couch at home. About: I’ve been an animal lover all my life, growing up our house was nick named the zoo (we had many animals) I have taken care of dogs/cats of every kind since I was young. Do note that I can do constant care for house sitting bookings, however depending on the type of care this can range anywhere from 100-150 a day. (normally this is for puppies and or dogs with high attention needs) I like a week notice for sittings, if short notice booking comes in less than a week, I do charge an extra fee to move around my schedule and to also provide the proper care for the animals ahead of time.
