Leigh-Ann took such good care of our fur baby while we were gone for 3 weeks over the holidays. Christmas dinner, presents and lots of TLC. Our dog had had knee surgery a few months before and I was so worried about leaving him with someone new. Leigh Ann took wonderful care of him and even took him to his Pysio appointments! She updated us and sent photos and videos regularly so we knew he was having fun with Leigh Ann and her fur baby Freha. Highly recommend Leigh-Ann!

Mia was absolutely amazing! She took such wonderful care of our little Pomeranian and treated him like one of her own. She kept us updated every day with photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Our pup had a great time in her yard, made friends with her cat, and quickly felt comfortable in her home. Mia even went the extra mile by preparing yams to accommodate his diet, which we really appreciated. She was incredibly communicative, thoughtful, and easy to work with throughout the entire stay. We couldn't have asked for a better dog sitter and would highly recommend Mia to anyone looking for someone who will genuinely care for their pet.

While Casey’s yard is not fenced it is in a rural area with a large yard. My dog Abby got along with Casey’s dog quite quickly. Lots of walking to give Abby exercise and a warm wood stove that she loved sleeping beside. Casey works from home so the dogs have lots of company. Abby was happy to be there and I would be glad to leave Abby there again the next time I need a dog sitter.

We (and our dog) LOVE Natasha. Our dog didn't just get boarded, he went on pup-cation with her! He came back home rested and content. I don't even think he missed us to be honest. She sent us lots of photos and videos while we were away and we really appreciated that. She took such good care of our baby and we will definitely be booking with her again!

Professional, knowledgeable, and quality care for our dog! This isn't your average dog boarding- Roberta provided a loving and safe environment for my large dog (90 lbs), in her home. She requested key info on my dog's feeding, health and behaviour, and provided updates and pics almost every day during our dog's boarding. So grateful our dog was not lonely and so well looked after!

Erika was fantastic right from the first meet and greet! Our pup created some challenges for her since she has abandonment issues and is very attached to me. Erika provided a safe and loving environment where Lily felt safe. She provided pictures and feedback every day. When we picked Lily up after a 4 day holiday, she was content and obviously well cared for. We will definitely trust Erika with Lily in the future!! Thank you Erika for allowing us to have a stress free get away :)

About: I’m a lifelong dog lover who grew up with golden retrievers, and I’ve been dog-sitting in Nelson for over two years. I’ve cared for puppies, seniors, high-energy dogs, and easygoing couch companions, and I enjoy adapting to whatever pace your pup prefers. I love taking dogs out on Nelson’s beautiful trails for fresh air and adventure. Whether your dog wants to sniff every tree or prefers a more relaxed stroll, I’m all about making their time with me tail-waggingly fun! With a flexible work schedule, I’m able to accommodate a wide range of routines, visits, and energy levels. I’m all about making sure your dog feels comfortable, safe, and happy while you’re away—because every pup deserves to have a good time, even if their human is off doing human things. I am currently working a casual schedule. I am available for morning, afternoon and evening walks! I am available for pet sitting during the week or weekend! I have my own suite that has access to a grassy area out front. I am a few minutes walk to the graveyard trails. Dogs that stay with me will be taken on morning walk, mid afternoon walk and a longer nature walk in the early evenings!

Nicole looked after our two cats for a few days so we could go away. We were very impressed with Nicole - from our first meeting with her, when she was able to make friends with both cats (including our shy one) right away. Nicole was very professional, reliable, and friendly, and took great care of our cats. She was super communicative, sending photos each time she visited. Our cats were very much at ease while we were away, which enabled us to have a relaxing weekend. We highly recommend Nicole and look forward to booking her again!

About: I've cared for my family's 2 sheepadoodles for 8 years, and consistently watch a cute little chihuahua who loves to play frisbee. I don't have experience in dogs with special needs, but I do have a highly flexible schedule for people that need pet care. I work for myself at home, and can work from anywhere if need be. I love going for walks, and am happy to take your pet out any time of the day. I work completely from home and for myself, so I have no schedule constraints and am available most of the time. I am about as flexible as it gets! I don't have a fenced yard, so pets in my home go for a couple walks. If you have a fenced yard, I throw balls and frisbees till your pet can't go anymore!

About: Hello! I am a pet owner myself and have had pets my whole life. From owning horses, chickens, donkeys, birds, cats and dogs, I’ve taken care of a lot of animals in my life and have even spent time working in a veterinarian clinic a few years ago. I absolutely love them and would love to build a bond with your pets and help make them feel happy while their owners are away. I myself have a 12 year old rescue Russian blue cat named Stryker and just recently lost my girl Willow in 2023 and our big guy Atlas this past May 2025. I work fully online and have a really flexible schedule. Since losing our pup recently I’ve been missing that dog connection and I thought this would be a great way to get out more and also get some exercise myself while also helping other pets get the exercise they need. In addition to caring for your pets, I am also available to bring in mail, water plants, and keep an eye on your home while you’re away for an additional small fee. Looking forward to meeting your adorable 4 legged family members! I work fully remote so my days are however I want them to be which is very flexible. I am passionate about pets and their care😊 In our home my cat Stryker is allowed on furniture, sleeps with us whenever he wants to, and have a generally pet friendly home. To me they’re part of my family. As for in the clients home I would stick to whatever feeding schedule the owner wants and their rules of their home.

About: My goal for your dog while they are staying is for her to feel safe and comfortable. I am able to work with the routine your dog currently has and hopefully make her stay with me feel comfortable but also like a vacation. I’ve had my own dogs for over 15 years and understand how unique and special each one is. I’ve cared for senior dogs and most recently a puppy. I work from home during the week so your dog will have company. Depending on your dog’s exercise requirements, I am able to walk your dog before and after work and at lunch. On the weekends, I usually plan an outing such as a hiking, swimming, or visiting a local park. I have a 1 1/2 year old Labrador retriever who is extremely friendly and would love the company of another dog. I also have a cat. I have a fully fenced backyard for the dogs to play, relax in the sun and for easy bathroom breaks. I’d like to work with you to customize a plan for your dog’s care while she is staying with me

About: What sets me apart as a sitter is the level of patience, compassion, and real-life experience I bring, especially with dogs who need a little extra understanding. I’ve cared for two rescue dogs with very different and challenging backgrounds, which has shaped how I approach every animal I look after. One of my dogs I found on the streets of the Philippines, where I nursed her back to health and helped her regain strength and trust. The other I adopted from Heart Hope and Rescue, and she came to me with severe fear due to past abuse. Through consistent care, gentle handling, and a lot of love, I’ve helped her grow into a confident, happy dog who can now be around men comfortably. Today, she’s incredibly affectionate and truly thrives. Because of these experiences, I’m especially skilled with nervous, shy, or rescue dogs who may need extra patience and reassurance. I understand how to read body language, build trust at their pace, and create a calm, safe environment. I’m also comfortable reinforcing basic training, maintaining routines, and giving dogs the attention and care they need to feel secure and happy. Above all, I genuinely love animals and treat every dog as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, cared for, and completely loved while you’re away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, and because I work part-time, I have plenty of flexibility to give your dog the time, attention, and care they deserve. I’m available for both weekday and weekend boarding, and I structure my days to make sure pets are never left alone for long periods. In the mornings, I start the day with walks, feeding, and some playtime to help your dog burn off energy and feel settled. Throughout the day, I incorporate regular potty breaks, enrichment activities, and lots of one-on-one attention whether that’s play, training reinforcement, or just relaxing together. Because I’m home often, your dog will have consistent companionship and supervision. I also adapt my routine to match your dog’s specific needs. For high-energy dogs, I make sure they get plenty of exercise and stimulation, while more anxious or senior dogs get a calm, quiet environment with gentle care and extra comfort. Evenings are more relaxed, with another walk, dinner, and wind-down time filled with cuddles and companionship. Overall, I prioritize creating a safe, structured, and loving environment so your dog feels at home and well cared for every day they’re with me. I provide attentive, compassionate care tailored to each pet’s individual needs, whether in my home or in a client’s home. I prioritize safety by maintaining a clean, secure environment, closely supervising pets, and following any specific routines, dietary requirements, or medical instructions provided by the owner. Building trust is central to my approach, so I take time to understand each pet’s personality, comfort levels, and preferences, ensuring they feel calm and cared for. I also respect clients’ homes by keeping spaces tidy and communicating regularly with updates, so owners feel confident and reassured while they are away.

About: I’m a longtime pet sitter with nearly six years of experience caring for all kinds of animals, from puppies to senior dogs, as well as cats, bunnies, geckos, and everything in between! I started pet sitting in Kelowna and have since moved to Nelson for school (apart of the UBC WKTEP program) where being away from my own pets has made me miss having animals around even more. I truly love the companionship pets bring and enjoy helping out fellow pet parents while getting in plenty of walks, cuddles, and quality time. I have lots of references available and am always happy to meet for a coffee or chat beforehand. At the end of the day, I just want what’s best for your furry (and not so furry) friends, because I know how much they mean to our lives. I’m currently a student whose campus resides on Baker street in the heart of Nelson. My school schedule offers flexibility and the ability to make time throughout the day for pee breaks, walks, and snuggles. I have full weekend availability, and during the weekdays am done at reasonable hours. I’m a big runner, hiker, and walker, and love to be out in nature as much as possible in between classes and after school hours! While I can’t bring your furry friends into my own humble abode (sadly!) I am more than happy to come to you! I have done many over night and extended stays in homes of those who I have offered pet care for. As a student, I have the flexibility to pick up (and pack up) my belongings and make my home anywhere. Keeping your pets in the environment they feel most comfortable I find extremely valuable as it takes away a layer of stress for your pet as they get to remain in their safe space while being distracted by plenty of pets (offered by myself haha!).

Ashley's been fantastic with our two dogs, between their size and energy they can be a handful! We feel very confident they are being well taken care of by Ashley.

About: I have always had pets… dogs, cats, llamas, iguanas to parrots and toucans and loved and spoiled them all passionately! You can relax while away, knowing your pet is content and cared for in the most loving way possible. I do prefer dogs to be 60 pounds or less. I am retired with lots of time to walk and play with your pets . I am live rurally, surrounded by nature, with a river at the back of my acreage and a rail/trail out front. I live on acreage. While your pet(s) is staying with me, he/she would always be leashed outside for walks. Inside however, my home would be their home and there'll be lots of cuddles and interaction.

Our girl loves her time with Amy, she's happy and tired after her walks. There's no better feeling than knowing your pup is well taken care of and we have that with Amy! We're so lucky to have her!

About: I've spent 3 weeks house sitting a rescue dog and cat in Christchurch, New Zealand plus many other weekends house sitting various pets. I have also fostered dogs including puppies for a minimum of 2 weeks at a time. I'm currently off work for the shoulder season until December. During winter I will be working part time hours as a breakfast server and skiing other days meaning I will be around evenings every day. I care for pets as if they are my own. I love dogs and am quick to make genuine connections with them. I give them a lot of love and enjoy the companionship they give.

About: I've taken care of my family dog many times. I've also taken care of my friends' pets including cats and puppies. I am reliable and keep a clean and tidy place. I love walking dogs, no matter the weather. I am a full-time teacher so during the week I am pretty busy and have limited time, but I love going hiking and running on the weekends, so I am happy to dogsit over the weekends or on holidays! I am very reliable and organized. I am attentive to the pets' needs and am great at communication with clients. Your pets will be well cared for with me :) I live in an apartment, but it is very easy to step outside, and there is the Mission Creek trail that is a few minutes walk away from my place.
