About: I've been a dog lover for as long as I've been alive! My family has always been dog oriented, and having been surrounded by pets since early childhood, I've looked at them as a mainstay in my life and have been fortunate enough to learn and develop amazing relationships with so many dogs over the years, including shelter dogs of all backgrounds, as I've spent time volunteering at the SPCA in Castlegar over the last few years. I currently have a pretty fluid and flexible work schedule between the multiple jobs that I have. It changes from week to week, but I consistently have free time most mornings and evenings, and on varying afternoons from week to week as my work schedule changes. Throwing a walk into the mix before or after my regular shifts won't be too challenging! There are no other pets in my current living situation. I have private space to myself in the basement suite and am able to isolate pretty well down here, but have roommates upstairs for more social time. Despite not having a fenced in yard, I have a fenced in deck patio, and live only a few blocks away from the rail trail and many other great walking paths.

From owning horses, chickens, donkeys, birds, cats and dogs, I’ve taken care of a lot of animals in my life and have even spent time working in a veterinarian clinic a few years ago. I myself have a 12 year old rescue Russian blue cat named Stryker and just recently lost my girl Willow in 2023 and our big guy Atlas this past May 2025. I work fully online and have a really flexible schedule. Since losing our pup recently I’ve been missing that dog connection and I thought this would be a great way to get out more and also get some exercise myself while also helping other pets get the exercise they need. I love walking dogs, no matter the weather. I work from home 3 days a week and I am a Teacher on Call for 1-2 days a week. I can go on a walk in the morning and afternoon/evening. On days that I work from home, I will be with your pet all day. When I'm at the school, I leave around 8 am and am usually home by 3:30 pm. I am very reliable and organized. Above all, I genuinely love animals and treat every dog as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, cared for, and completely loved while you’re away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, and because I work part-time, I have plenty of flexibility to give your dog the time, attention, and care they deserve. I’m available for both weekday and weekend boarding, and I structure my days to make sure pets are never left alone for long periods. In the mornings, I start the day with walks, feeding, and some playtime to help your dog burn off energy and feel settled. Throughout the day, I incorporate regular potty breaks, enrichment activities, and lots of one-on-one attention whether that’s play, training reinforcement, or just relaxing together. Because I’m home often, your dog will have consistent companionship and supervision. I also adapt my routine to match your dog’s specific needs. For high-energy dogs, I make sure they get plenty of exercise and stimulation, while more anxious or senior dogs get a calm, quiet environment with gentle care and extra comfort. Evenings are more relaxed, with another walk, dinner, and wind-down time filled with cuddles and companionship. Overall, I prioritize creating a safe, structured, and loving environment so your dog feels at home and well cared for every day they’re with me. I provide attentive, compassionate care tailored to each pet’s individual needs, whether in my home or in a client’s home. I prioritize safety by maintaining a clean, secure environment, closely supervising pets, and following any specific routines, dietary requirements, or medical instructions provided by the owner. Building trust is central to my approach, so I take time to understand each pet’s personality, comfort levels, and preferences, ensuring they feel calm and cared for. I also respect clients’ homes by keeping spaces tidy and communicating regularly with updates, so owners feel confident and reassured while they are away.

About: I’m a lifelong dog lover who grew up with golden retrievers, and I’ve been dog-sitting in Nelson for over two years. I’ve cared for puppies, seniors, high-energy dogs, and easygoing couch companions, and I enjoy adapting to whatever pace your pup prefers. I love taking dogs out on Nelson’s beautiful trails for fresh air and adventure. Whether your dog wants to sniff every tree or prefers a more relaxed stroll, I’m all about making their time with me tail-waggingly fun! With a flexible work schedule, I’m able to accommodate a wide range of routines, visits, and energy levels. I’m all about making sure your dog feels comfortable, safe, and happy while you’re away—because every pup deserves to have a good time, even if their human is off doing human things. I am currently working a casual schedule. I am available for morning, afternoon and evening walks! I am available for pet sitting during the week or weekend! I have my own suite that has access to a grassy area out front. I am a few minutes walk to the graveyard trails. Dogs that stay with me will be taken on morning walk, mid afternoon walk and a longer nature walk in the early evenings!
