About: I grew up with a cat, who lived to be 18 years old. I have extensive pet sitting experience, having looked after many family and friend’s dogs and cats. I currently dog sit for a few friend’s dogs in town and would be stoked to have some more doggos to walk and hike with! My schedule is currently quite flexible throughout the week. Weekends are usually a little busier but I typically have time for dogs walks any day of the week. I live in Nelson and have a car so I can either walk or drive to anywhere in town to pick up and walk dogs and/or feed & entertain cats. My current space is too small to host pets unfortunately.

About: When I was 8, I got my first kitty and named him Mr. Jaguar -- that's me and him in the vintage pic! I've cared for cats of all ages over the course of my life. Most recently I've looked after senior cats, as well as cats with higher maintenance (particular diets, playtime, attention needs). I am currently unable to accommodate boarding for dogs, and I can only care for one dog at a time (applies to house-sitting and visits) -- multiple cats is ok for house-sitting and visits, but can only board one at a time👌 My schedule is flexible and varied. While more notice is better, please feel free to reach out for short-notice bookings; I'll let you know if I'm available! I have room for you kitty to be catered to. No other pets will disturb them, and they're sure to get lots of attention in a safe environment 😊

About: I have house sit, dog sit, chicken sit, and cat sit, in a variety of homes, even more remote homes where snow plowing was required. I work a flexible schedule. Hybrid remote office worker. I work Monday thru Thursday, but live within a few blocks of my place of work Located near the Columbia River with a fenced yard and no other permanent pets at my home, lots of room to play and run around the yard and trails.

About: I've cared for my family's 2 sheepadoodles for 8 years, and consistently watch a cute little chihuahua who loves to play frisbee. I don't have experience in dogs with special needs, but I do have a highly flexible schedule for people that need pet care. I work for myself at home, and can work from anywhere if need be. I love going for walks, and am happy to take your pet out any time of the day. I work completely from home and for myself, so I have no schedule constraints and am available most of the time. I am about as flexible as it gets! I don't have a fenced yard, so pets in my home go for a couple walks. If you have a fenced yard, I throw balls and frisbees till your pet can't go anymore!

About: I’ve grown up with dogs since I was born so I have lots of experience walking dogs, caring for dogs and spending time with them. I love dogs of any size and breed. I am currently writing a book and other than that ski so have plenty of time to spend with your pets. I love being outside and getting to care for your dog will make it better! I can provide an environment which will make your pet feel at home and personally will have no trouble fitting into their home space if needed.

About: I’m a lifelong dog lover who grew up with golden retrievers, and I’ve been dog-sitting in Nelson for over two years. I’ve cared for puppies, seniors, high-energy dogs, and easygoing couch companions, and I enjoy adapting to whatever pace your pup prefers. I love taking dogs out on Nelson’s beautiful trails for fresh air and adventure. Whether your dog wants to sniff every tree or prefers a more relaxed stroll, I’m all about making their time with me tail-waggingly fun! With a flexible work schedule, I’m able to accommodate a wide range of routines, visits, and energy levels. I’m all about making sure your dog feels comfortable, safe, and happy while you’re away—because every pup deserves to have a good time, even if their human is off doing human things. I am currently working a casual schedule. I am available for morning, afternoon and evening walks! I am available for pet sitting during the week or weekend! I have my own suite that has access to a grassy area out front. I am a few minutes walk to the graveyard trails. Dogs that stay with me will be taken on morning walk, mid afternoon walk and a longer nature walk in the early evenings!

“I just returned from a two week vacation to Europe. I needed someone at my house overnights due to issues my dog has had at daycare in the past. I had my regular walker agree to do some of the overnights, but needed someone to fill in the rest. I selected Jessica and had her walk my dog a few times before I left. Still I was a tad nervous as she had never done an overnight stay, and did not have much experience with this very active dog. Jessica did an amazing job. She sent me regular photos and my dog seemed to be getting along with her very well. I booked another overnight for when I got home, in case there were flight delays. I got home on time but I did want to see how my dog interacted with Jessica for future dog sitting appointments. I could tell that he adored her ( he wouldn’t leave her side when she was here). I left my house super-clean and it was in the same shape when I returned. I would wholeheartedly endorse Jessica if someone is looking for an overnight sitter or a dog walker”

We're both from Australia, but since May this year, we've been pet sitting our way around Canada while on working holiday visas. About: I grew up with pets and hobby-farm animals. Have experience dog walking, pet sitting and have been a long time nanny and pet carer. I will treat your home and pet(s) like my own :). I am currently working mostly remotely for a local non-profit giving me lots of time to spend with your pet. When I am out of the house for work it is at most for a couple hours at a time. I am very cautious and safety conscious. I would never put put your pet at risk due to negligence. I am attentive and will make good decisions for your individual pet.

About: I had the pleasure of growing up on a farm in rural Alberta helping to care for many cats and other animals. Eight years ago I relocated to BC and have had the joys of cat ownership, as well fostering through the local SPCA. I absolutely am a crazy cat lady and will take exceptional care of your kitties! I work as an RN and can do some basic med administration. I occasionally do shift work so would not be taking pet sits during long stretches of work. I am very flexible with my time and can prioritize a pet routine in well around the few activities and home-bodying that I normally do! I am able to care for cats in your home or my home.
