Nurturing Pet Sitter and Walker!
Hi! My name is Rosa. I have lived with and cared for many dogs and cats, and done regular dog walking for many years. I have an intuitive relationship with animals - always creating a safe and nurturing environment for them. I look after any pet as if its my own - showing respect along with healthy boundaries. I am happy to take dogs on walks wherever you prefer and have a car so can head out to various locations outside of Nelson, as needed. Communication and trust are important to me, so I will happily call and provide updates, photos, and videos of your precious dogs and cats while pet sitting! Rosa was a great sitter to our dogs. She took them out for peas and walks multiple times a day and gave them lots of cuddles. She even scared away a bear. She left our home very clean and tidy and was very considerate by giving us an end of the day. Update with pictures. I would recommend her to anyone needing a good sitter.
I made an extremely last minute booking with Rosa to accommodate my pets while I went to an appointment that I received short notice for. My cat has never been left with a sitter before so I was nervous about how he would do, but Rosa was able to help him and my pup settle in super quickly, and they both seemed to have a blast! Rosa was incredibly understanding about the situation and quick with updates when I messaged throughout the day, which really helped my peace of mind too. Thanks again, Rosa!!!
Rosa was an amazing pet sitter! We felt very comfortable leaving Puffball with her. She sent lots of updates and pictures of Puff so we knew she was safe. We would definitely leave Puffball with her again.

Rosalie was such a wonderful help for us while were away and needed a sitter to watch our two dogs Finn and Fletch. Very punctual and tidy. Was so loving and kind with our boys. We trust her fully and would 100 percent hire her again and recommend her to others!

Schedule
I'm currently working part-time / self-employed, so I will have ample time to care for your precious furry friends and be on a fairly flexible schedule for walks and feeding. Also looking for opportunities for long-term pet and house sitting from September onwards.

Safety, trust & environment
In your home, I will carefully adhere to whatever safety precautions you have in place to protect your precious dogs and cats - be it keeping gates, doors or windows shut and crating when necessary. I am very attentive! I can send regular photo or video updates - just let me know what you need! I can only pet sit at your home, although doggy day-care is available in our large garden - which is fenced, with ample shade under a big magnolia tree, and grassy area to play on, we have a trampoline which the doggos love to nap under too!
A typical day
Nelson has so many great places - we can go on walks by the lake, I particularly like Lakeside Walk near the airport as its safe and great for playing fetch - here there is plenty of opportunity to cool down in the water on a warm day. Our garden is fenced and large, so provides a great place to relax once the pups are tired out, with lots of shade. I enjoy hiking and biking, so any dogs which are comfortable with those activities can go on bigger adventures with me too!
