“Kim is excellent with our Siamese. We would highly recommend her if you need someone to look after your pets. We know Tom is in great hands when we are away and Kim is checking in on him.”

“Marie met with us twice prior to caring for our 2 female Maine Coons to understand our expectations and needs. She sent photos of the girls and provided updates on their wellbeing. This reassured me that our cats were well cared for and happy. One of our cats is overweight and requires assistance with cleaning herself. ( she can’t reach her bottom end). Marie cleaned her bottom twice while we were away. Even sent a photo of how annoyed Frankie was with this, but made me feel Marie cared. I would definitely recommend and use Marie for future needs. Amazing!!!”

About: I am also a Registered Nurse and can give your dogs medication if ordered from a Veterinarian and give them lots of tender loving care. Do you have a sick pet and you want to go away? Why not leave them with a Registered Nurse who is also a Pet Sitter. I work part-time, so I will have plenty of time to pamper your dogs or cats. I love animals and look forward to meeting your pet. I can take care of dogs during the day in my home and will take them for walks, and play with them. I can also come to your home and take the dog out for a walk.

About: My 24 years of experience includes behaviour training of numerous breeds both big and small, rescues and abandoned, aggressive, nervous, or insecure, I’ve worked with them all and then trained their owners. I’ve trained dogs for work at Pearson Airport and I’ve been fortunate enough to train dogs for people with seen and unseen disabilities. I’ve worked with bomb detection dogs, organized goose and duck control with border collies for large business properties and am very knowledgeable with puppy and senior care as well. I am experienced with large dogs, canine aggression, mental health issues including separation anxiety and shut downs. I speak an excellent canine! In other words, I am very familiar with canine body language and how to correctly interpret their vocal and physical communication. I’ve also graduated from a college program on Canine Massage Therapy so I can get an accurate overall understanding of your pet friend during their stay with me. If you have any questions about their behaviour I will include a professional behaviour analysis that will help you better understand your dog, along with training tips using Positive Reinforcement that will encourage the results you want. Dogs have emotional highs and lows like we do, as well as fears and traumatic experiences that linger, stay in their body, and are hard to overcome. I will earn their trust as well as yours, help bring them into a balanced emotional state which will ease everyone’s mind and bring peace to your household. Your dog is a treasure that will be protected in my home, and treated like my own. My K9 partner recently retired from Explosive Detection so I decided to retire from that career too. As a result, I can dedicate full time personal attention to your dog(s). Also, I only accept a maximum of 5 dogs per day. By keeping the numbers low I can devote more time to each one and ensure a happy, healthy vacation for them. I commit to staying active with active dogs and will cater to absolute pampering for seniors and toys. I have separate areas in my home for smaller dogs, senior dogs, and bigger dogs. That way each pet can feel comfortable and at ease here, like one of the family.

“So amazing with my Ranger and my own worrying about how he’s adjusting to our home. Cared for him like he was her own and that’s a special kind of reassurance. I got updates and pictures and it put my heart at ease knowing he is with someone who can show him how special he is. Even if he is a flight risk.”

About: My guy Bruce is the best thing to happen to me! Bruce is a great companion - he’s very loyal, and the snuggliest little guy in the world. He is reactive however, and because of it, I now have experience in that department. Bruce is doing really well - it’s all about consistency and learning about their specific triggers and how to handle them: Happy to pass on some tips and tricks that I’ve learned along the way. Bruce and I spend a lot of time with other dogs on hikes and on play dates - happy to do the same with yours. If they prefer not to be social we can do that too! I’m good with small & big dogs and those with behaviour issues that we need to work through. Shoot me a message! I work from home and am available most days for a visit or a walk. Could also be available last minute - give me a shout! I’d prefer to come to your home, but if your dog is good with other dogs we can try them out with brucey first to see how things will pan out. He doesn’t do well with intact males or dogs that are reactive/aggressive - he reacts second. I will treat your dog like my own, and give them all the rubs and snuggles (if they want them!!).

“Tori was super easy to communicate with and took our crazy dog house in good stride! Our young girls can be a handful! She came and let them out, fed them and made sure they had water. She even got our old man to eat his food, which doesn’t always work out. We would hire Tori again 😊”

I’ve handled everything from dog walking and basic training to feeding routines, grooming, and lots of cuddle time. My current dogs, Charlie (a Shepherd Lab mix) and Bear (a Saint Bernard mix), keep me active and constantly learning. I understand the responsibility and love that goes into caring for pets, and I’ll treat yours like family! I do work part-time throughout the summer, which gives me the flexibility to offer dog walking services or check-ins two to three days a week. My schedule may vary slightly, but I’m happy to coordinate and find times that work best for you and your pet(s)! Whether it’s a regular walk, an occasional stroll, or a home visit, I’m here to help! At home, my dogs have a fenced-in yard and lots of space to play safely — and I always supervise them. I'd bring that same level of care to your home by respecting your pet’s space, routine, and making sure they feel safe and loved.

About: I’ve been involved with animals since I was a toddler. Having a variety of pets growing up, I learned from a young age how to take care of various animals. I have taken care of dogs as small as 6lbs to 150lbs+, a wide range of different breeds. I am often trusted look after the pets of friends and family whether for a day, weekend or week. I treat them as if they are my own! I am versed in day to day care (feeding, walking, playing), providing any medications if required, bathing, etc. I share a rescue dog with my significant other, we adopted her through a Toronto agency from Texas in December 2022. I have approximately 1200 square feet of living space, a designated doggy lounge chair, a large deck and an unfenced backyard. I use a long lead for my dog while we’re the backyard so she is able to run around. There is plenty of sun as well as shade in the backyard and a large fence along the road side for safety. When I leave my dog out, I check on her and change the water frequently to ensure it’s clean & cool! We do playtime, playing fetch and running around a couple times a day, and go for at least one 20-30 min walk each day. I am a happy to accommodate to any dogs schedule/preferences with more or less activity (additional walks, more/less play time, longer/shorter walks etc) ! My dog is medium energy and loves to lounge and nap.

Michela E.
“Michela has a strong background and experience caring for a variety of animals including dogs, cats, horses, rabbits and even chickens and goats (growing up on the family hobby farm). Before acquiring her own personal house pets (rescue dog and bearded lizard) Michela did extensive research into their needs and goes the extra mile in providing that for them. Her pets receive the best food and care (including veterinary) that she can provide. She is well respected at the barn where she keeps her horse and is often a source of support and information for other riders. She is warm and affectionate with animals and has healthy dose of common sense, providing stability and a safe environment. I would not hesitate for a second to leave any animal in her care.”
