“As always, my dogs were pumped to be dropped off at Shoshana’s (obviously a great sign) and the pictures and video I received proved they had a wonderful time with her and her family.”

“My dog always loves going to see Hailie & Alex. Always get lots of updates and pictures throughout the whole time our pup is with them. They truly love dogs and give them the best “home away from home” experience. Thanks guys!”

“Carla is great! My dog had a fun time playing with her dogs and kids. We got updates and photos of how she was doing and it was good to know she was in good hands!”

“Shreyas was friendly, helpful, and loving with our energetic and busy doggy, Lennie. We needed a last minute sitter and Shreyas responded right away and took her without hesitation. We let them know she is high energy and can be a lot at first, but they assured us that she was settling in and was a good pup! Thank you Shreyas for taking Lennie and treating her so kindly. We will be back!! :)”

“Sheila and Trevor are so caring and patient with our little Rosie. We take such comfort leaving her in their care, knowing she will be loved and well taken care of in their home. We will see you again :) Thank you Trevor & Sheila!”

“Lindsay was absolutely amazing. She treated our pup like one of her own. She was flexible with drop off and communicated well while we were gone. Thanks again Lindsay!”

“Jackie took great care of Molly, our 5 month old Shih Tzu x Terrier cross. She was very welcoming and accommodating sending us photos throughout her stay. Molly came home happy and tired!”

“From the beginning of booking for my dog stay, it was easy, and I felt very welcomed and comfortable. Lady was at ease and treated very well, which I love to see and hear. I got pictures of her and being cared for. I definitely plan to book again. Which I have done already!!”

“Ruth is so kind and generous sharing updates, photos, and videos of our dog Rosie. It was a relief to know Rosie was in great care while we were away, and clearly having lots of fun and cuddles too. Thank you Ruth!”

About: Your Pup’s Home Away From Home! 🐾 We are a family of three and we treat every guest like one of our own, ensuring they feel safe, loved, and fully pampered. What We Offer: Active Lifestyle: We love long walks and have a fully fenced yard perfect for zoomies and sunbathing. Crate-Friendly Home: We are experienced with kennel training and prefer dogs who are comfortable in their "den." Cozy Environment: Whether it's playtime in the yard or cuddles on the couch, your dog will be part of our daily rhythm. Our Schedule: We are home most of the time, though from Tuesday to Thursday, we work from 8 till 3 but between the two of us the pup will be able to have a pee break during the day. For this reason, we are a great fit for dogs who can relax comfortably in their kennel for a few hours at a time. We can’t wait to meet your pup and provide them with a fun, secure, and loving environment while you’re away! We are home most of the time, though from Tuesday to Thursday, we work during the day. For this reason, we are a great fit for dogs who can relax comfortably in their kennel for a few hours at a time. Our Care Philosophy: Family First 🐾 Coming from a home that loved a Shih Tzu for many years, we know that every dog has a unique personality and specific needs. We don't just "watch" your dog; we welcome them into our daily lives as a temporary family member. Safety & Security Fully Fenced Yard: Your pup can enjoy the fresh air safely. We always supervise yard time to ensure everyone is playing nice and staying secure. Kennel Comfort: We are big believers in the "den" environment. If your dog is kennel trained, we maintain that routine to reduce anxiety and give them a safe space to rest while we are out or during bedtime. Leashed Adventures: Our morning and evening walks are always on-leash, exploring the neighborhood at a pace that suits your dog’s energy level. Personalized Attention Companionship: Since someone is usually home throughout the day, your dog won't be lonely. Whether we’re working nearby or relaxing in the living room, they’ll have human company. Consistency is Key: We stick to your feeding and medication schedule exactly as you do at home to keep their tummy and health on track. Fresh Water & Treats: We keep the bowls full of fresh water and (with your permission!) provide healthy treats for being "good boys and girls." Communication with You We know how hard it is to be away from your fur baby. We make sure to send: Daily Photo Updates: Action shots from our long walks or cute photos of them lounging in the yard. Quick Check-ins: A quick text to let you know they’ve eaten and are settling in well. Peace of Mind: You can enjoy your trip knowing we are treating your pup exactly how we’d want our own to be treated.
“Kelsey was awesome! Her communication was quick and thorough before and throughout my dogs’s stay. She kept me updated with how things were going and my dogs seemed to love it at her place!”

“We were left in a pinch when our dog sitter was unable to take our pup, Chloe was responsive and available in short notice to take her. Our dog Nellie is a sweet girl but she has a lot of anxiety and requires an environment in which she feels safe, which is not always easy to find. Chloe met Nellie prior to us leaving her in her care and the meeting went well. Chloe was caring and receptive to Nellie’s anxiety and maintained a calming environment for her to settle into. Chloe was also very flexible with drop off and pick up times as well. Nellie did very well in Chloe’s care and we will definitely book with her again.”

“We had a great experience with Kurt & his family. They were reliable, kind, and clearly cared a lot about my dog Mocha. Communication was excellent throughout, and we really appreciated the updates and photos. Mocha was clearly a very happy dog, well-taken care of, and comfortable the entire time. We felt totally at ease knowing Mocha was in such good hands and would absolutely book again. Highly recommend!”

“Sonja was absolutely amazing with Stella. She cared for her as if she was her own. She kept us updated with sweet pictures of Stella during our time away We will definitely be booking with her again. Thanks Sonja for making our holiday worry free!”

About: With over 15 years of animal care experience, I’ve had the privilege of caring for pets of all shapes, sizes, ages, and personalities. Growing up surrounded by animals—both large and small—gave me a lifelong passion for their care and well-being. I spent 2 years working as a kennel attendant before moving into a veterinary clinic, where I worked for 6 years. During my time in the clinic, I gained hands-on experience with dogs and cats of all breeds, ages, and medical needs, including administering medications, caring for senior pets, assisting with recovery, and recognizing when something isn’t quite right. Now that I’m a stay-at-home mom, I truly miss my furry clients and the joy they brought to my days. I’d love the opportunity to care for your pet as if they were one of my own. Whether they need an energetic walking buddy, a calm companion, or lots of love and attention while you’re away, you can trust they’ll be in caring, experienced hands. Also actively passing down my love for animals to my children. I am a stay at home mom of 3 kids with plenty of free time - open & flexible schedule able to cater to specific needs 2 meals a day, experienced with medication - my beloved fur baby of 14 years passed in January 2026 from congestive heart failure so I know how important it is to maintain a schedule & make sure they get the things they need. I have a 1.5 year old neutered lab named Bodie - extremely friendly & loves everyone & everything

Jackie is amazing, 1st time I ever left my fur baby with anyone and he came home very happy. Jackie allowed Milo to make friends with her pets and she kept me updated with pictures and made me feel at ease while I was away. Thank you so much for the love you showed Milo while he visited.

Nataliia cared for our senior dachshund, Sasha, for 9 nights and did an amazing job. This was our first Rover experience, and she made it stress-free and reassuring. She was kind, attentive, and kept us updated the whole time. We would absolutely book with her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
