About: I am an avid walker and would love a furry companion to join me on my daily adventures. Home visits are no issue at all if you don't have a green space for your furry friend- we can explore the neighbourhoods together! Feeding, medicine given orally, and cuddles galore. I have had a cat in our home for many, many years. Growing up I had small pets like fish and geckos, working my way up to cats and dogs. I am an avid walker and would love a furry companion to join me on my daily adventures. Home visits are no issue at all if you don't have a green space for your furry friend- we can explore the neighbourhoods together! Feeding, medicine given orally, and cuddles galore. Home visits are preferred as I have my own cat at home and would hate to bring stress upon either of the furry family members.
“Desiree did a wonderful job of walking our two pups, Sam and Wiley, for a week! She sent us daily updates with photos and the boys just loved her! We will definitely be calling on her help again!”

About: Hello! My name is Jessica! I have watched various sizes and ages of dogs and cats in the last 10 years, mostly for people in my circle of friends and family. I also have an English Mastiff who is my bestie. I have had experience administering medications and walking multiple dogs at a time. My 'niche' would be for anyone who has a large/giant breed that is low to medium energy. I know what real drool looks like and have cloths dedicated to wiping up slobber. I've had two dogs that have been considered 'giant' breeds and I absolutely adore them. That being said I love pets of all shapes and sizes, this work is something I really enjoy doing. I love learning about animals and getting a chance to get to know them. I work M-F 8:30-5 and I'm looking to be a pet sitter for animals that can comfortably accommodate this schedule, certainly on the weekends and in the evenings, I provide regular outside breaks and walks. I understand that a pet's routine is essential to maintain, so please let me know if there are specific times and intervals for meals, walks, and any other needs for your pet! I try to allow pets to settle into a space or adjust to having a stranger in their home. Any dogs staying at my home will be separated into different crates or rooms while I am not home to prevent any issues that may arise when there are unsupervised animals in the same space. It is just me and my pup so our home is quiet for the most part, we love a nap. Please, if you have a question or request do not hesitate to ask. I want to have a successful time with your dog and if it seems that my schedule or 'style' may not be the best fit then let's figure it out so you can find the best care for your dog.
About: I worked barn maintenance and animal care at a farm, doing basic medical needs, feeding, cleaning, and even halter training. I am passionate about animal care and know basic training for pups and am very attentive to details in care for elderly, handicapped, or young pets. I work a very part time job (4 hour shifts, 3 or 4 times a week typically) and don't travel much so I am very often available for pet care. I will try my best to be available at any time for any pet My current home is not dog/cat friendly so I am only able to do home sitting care or dog walks. I will be timely with appointments and do my research (if they have medical or age related needs) and ask questions thoroughly about your pet beforehand. I will send photo and written updates as often as I can!
“Claire was absolutely amazing with our dogs! From the moment we met her, we could tell she genuinely loves animals and would take great care of our pups. She kept us updated with messages and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Our dogs came home happy, well cared for, and clearly had lots of love and attention. Claire was reliable, kind, and very easy to communicate with throughout the entire booking. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring sitter. Thank you, Claire!”

“Avery S. did an excellent job of taking care of my dog Blue and my “cat” Mango. If I have the opportunity to hire her to take care of my friends again, I certainly will. Thank you Avery. JVM”
“Amber did an amazing job walking my golden retriever! She was reliable, caring and clearly loves dogs. She was also very accommodating with a last minute booking which I really appreciated. She took photos during the walk and gave me an update after which gave me a peace of mind. Highly recommend her!”

About: I've been caring for animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my family always had pets, and I helped with their daily care, including feeding, walking, playtime, grooming, and making sure they felt loved and comfortable. I currently have two cats that I've raised from kittens, which has given me firsthand experience with everything from kitten care and socialization to maintaining a healthy routine and recognizing their individual needs. I understand that every pet has a unique personality, and I take the time to make them feel safe, happy, and relaxed while their owners are away. Whether it's an energetic dog that loves long walks or a shy cat that prefers quiet companionship, I'm committed to providing patient, reliable, and loving care. I know how important pets are to their families, and I'll treat yours with the same attention and kindness that I give my own. I work full-time with a consistent schedule, typically 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., which gives me plenty of time in the afternoons and evenings for walks, drop-in visits, and quality time with pets. I also have every weekend off, making me available for longer visits and flexible scheduling. Caring for animals is something I genuinely enjoy, and I make sure every pet receives the attention, exercise, and affection they deserve. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I understand that every pet has their own routine and personality, and I'll take the time to follow your instructions carefully, whether that's feeding schedules, medications, exercise, or extra cuddles. I'm respectful of your home, reliable, and will keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands. I'll treat your furry family member with the same love and care that I give my own pets.
“Kaitlin came by the morning of her dog walking date for a meet and greet with us and Jayda, our Labradoodle. Jayda liked her and she returned later in the evening to give her some company and a walk as we were out for the evening. All went well and she took good care of our fur baby. Would hire her in the future for sure.”

“Thanks again for accepting the last minute request. I'll reach out to you through the app about Thursday and Friday as well as what days and times you would be available to do reoccurring walks”

“Ally was super helpful with our Rusty. He will finish his lunch and once we opened the gate of his kennel he will go running to the door to see them. Ally always gave us a heads up to when she was going to get here so we could have Rusty ready. The walks were perfect for him and he went farther every time. It was nice to see the progress.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Martensville
Amber was so great with our dog while we were away. My elderly parents were dog watching her for us, but she has so much energy and can be hard to leash walk, so having Amber walk her once a day was ideal! I appreciated the meet & greet, and the status updates and pictures from Amber. Our dog was as clearly happy with her daily walks and it tired her out so my parents could handle her.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Martensville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find walkers who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
