“Shoshanna took great care of our pups and sent lots of photos/ updates to ease our worries as this was our first time boarding our dogs. We will definitely use Shoshanna for doggy day care in the future!”

“Amazing couple Alexander and Hailie took care of Yoyo for two weeks, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Thank you so much for taking such great care of him — it truly means a lot to me. I really appreciated the daily updates and photos, which made me feel so reassured while I was away. It made me so happy to know he felt comfortable and had such a great time with the other pups. I’m very grateful for everything you’ve done, and we will definitely be back again 😊 Thanks again for everything! ❤️”

“Carla is a very accommodating dog sitter who makes sure Bailey is safe. In an emergency situation she was able to take my pup and let me focus on the family. Bailey has a lot of fun at her house! Thanks Carla!”

“Shreyas is great! He is always willing to accommodate last minute requests, and will take on dogs that need special attention. He readily agreed to look after my very recently rescued foster dog who is quite timid, and kept me updated as he got her to feel comfortable in his home. You could tell she knew she was safe and cared for!”

About: With over 15 years of animal care experience, I’ve had the privilege of caring for pets of all shapes, sizes, ages, and personalities. Growing up surrounded by animals—both large and small—gave me a lifelong passion for their care and well-being. I spent 2 years working as a kennel attendant before moving into a veterinary clinic, where I worked for 6 years. During my time in the clinic, I gained hands-on experience with dogs and cats of all breeds, ages, and medical needs, including administering medications, caring for senior pets, assisting with recovery, and recognizing when something isn’t quite right. Now that I’m a stay-at-home mom, I truly miss my furry clients and the joy they brought to my days. I’d love the opportunity to care for your pet as if they were one of my own. Whether they need an energetic walking buddy, a calm companion, or lots of love and attention while you’re away, you can trust they’ll be in caring, experienced hands. Also actively passing down my love for animals to my children. I am a stay at home mom of 3 kids with plenty of free time - open & flexible schedule able to cater to specific needs 2 meals a day, experienced with medication - my beloved fur baby of 14 years passed in January 2026 from congestive heart failure so I know how important it is to maintain a schedule & make sure they get the things they need. I have a 1.5 year old neutered lab named Bodie - extremely friendly & loves everyone & everything
“Wilbur, our Standard Dachshund spent three weeks with Trevor and Sheila and he was a pampered pooch under their care. He even gained some weight and from the videos/photos, had a lot of fun playing with other dogs, lying on the grass soaking up the sun, and watching Blue Jay’s games with Trevor (or more likely snoozing). There was a potential medical emergency while we were away and Trevor took immediate action to notify Rover and Rover, in turn, contacted us. As we quickly found out, it was a false alarm so we did not have to worry. Thank you for your care Trevor and Sheila!”

“Jackie took great care of Molly, our 5 month old Shih Tzu x Terrier cross. She was very welcoming and accommodating sending us photos throughout her stay. Molly came home happy and tired!”

“I really enjoyed how I would get updates on Marcy. It reassured us she was doing good. Lindsay and her family were very accommodating to Marcy and made her feel at home. I appreciate it so much. Thank you. I recommend Lindsay to anyone looking for a sitter for their lovely pets.”

“Ruth was so lovely. She welcomed my boy with open arms very last minute & took great care of him! I have an anxious pupper and she was able to keep him relaxed and comfortable. She played fetch with him and took him for walks which is greatly appreciated. We will see you again Ruth! Thank you very much for looking after my boy!”

“Fantastic experience for us and our dog! Our somewhat anxious little guy loved his time with Jenna, which was a huge relief. We got lots of pictures and updates which was great. Highly recommend!”

“My pup seemed thrilled to spend time with Kelsey and her family! Kelsey was flexible and communicative, and I appreciated her updates and photos of my dog living his best life. I’m sure he’ll be keen to return!”

“Rico seemed very happy and relaxed being with Kurt, Kendall and family. We are very pleased with the care he got. We could relax and have a good time knowing Rico was being cared for.”

“Claire was great with our one year old Nico. She provided me updates, asked permission for a walk and also went above and beyond to get him eating with some of my suggestions. I would recommend Claire and use her again!”

“I wanted to start this off by saying I’ve never used Rover before or had anyone watch my cat Brow, plus all of this was last minute so I was definitely nervous. Natasha made me feel so comfortable with my decision the moment I met her. She is very kind, has amazing communication and took incredible care of Brow. 10/10 will definitely have Brow stay again and anyone on the fence or looking for a sitter I couldn’t recommend Natasha more. To know I can go away and Brow is happy and safe is an amazing feeling. Thank you so much again!”

“I was nervous for my puppy Sammy’s first stay with a pet sitter, but we had a great experience with Patrisha! She was very communicative and sent lots of updates and photos over the weekend. Sounds like she worked hard to get his energy out, which can be tough to do with an Aussie puppy!”

About: Your Pup’s Home Away From Home! 🐾 We are a family of three and we treat every guest like one of our own, ensuring they feel safe, loved, and fully pampered. What We Offer: Active Lifestyle: We love long walks and have a fully fenced yard perfect for zoomies and sunbathing. Crate-Friendly Home: We are experienced with kennel training and prefer dogs who are comfortable in their "den." Cozy Environment: Whether it's playtime in the yard or cuddles on the couch, your dog will be part of our daily rhythm. Our Schedule: We are home most of the time, though from Tuesday to Thursday, we work from 8 till 3 but between the two of us the pup will be able to have a pee break during the day. For this reason, we are a great fit for dogs who can relax comfortably in their kennel for a few hours at a time. We can’t wait to meet your pup and provide them with a fun, secure, and loving environment while you’re away! We are home most of the time, though from Tuesday to Thursday, we work during the day. For this reason, we are a great fit for dogs who can relax comfortably in their kennel for a few hours at a time. Our Care Philosophy: Family First 🐾 Coming from a home that loved a Shih Tzu for many years, we know that every dog has a unique personality and specific needs. We don't just "watch" your dog; we welcome them into our daily lives as a temporary family member. Safety & Security Fully Fenced Yard: Your pup can enjoy the fresh air safely. We always supervise yard time to ensure everyone is playing nice and staying secure. Kennel Comfort: We are big believers in the "den" environment. If your dog is kennel trained, we maintain that routine to reduce anxiety and give them a safe space to rest while we are out or during bedtime. Leashed Adventures: Our morning and evening walks are always on-leash, exploring the neighborhood at a pace that suits your dog’s energy level. Personalized Attention Companionship: Since someone is usually home throughout the day, your dog won't be lonely. Whether we’re working nearby or relaxing in the living room, they’ll have human company. Consistency is Key: We stick to your feeding and medication schedule exactly as you do at home to keep their tummy and health on track. Fresh Water & Treats: We keep the bowls full of fresh water and (with your permission!) provide healthy treats for being "good boys and girls." Communication with You We know how hard it is to be away from your fur baby. We make sure to send: Daily Photo Updates: Action shots from our long walks or cute photos of them lounging in the yard. Quick Check-ins: A quick text to let you know they’ve eaten and are settling in well. Peace of Mind: You can enjoy your trip knowing we are treating your pup exactly how we’d want our own to be treated.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
