“Amazing experience! He took such great care of Morocho and treated him like his own. He was very responsible, always keeping me updated with photos, and I could see how happy Morocho was the whole time. That gave me so much peace of mind. I’m really grateful and would 100% recommend him!”

“This was the first time leaving Leddy with Shoshana and her family over night. (10 nights) as we had previously only done days. I am always nervous leaving her but I was so happy with how everything went. Leddy was very well taken care of and I loved getting photos & videos and updates on how she was doing! I look forward to using Shoshana ‘s services again in the near future. I would recommend her to everyone!”

“Cassandra took wonderful care of Maisy during her overnight boarding stay. She provided regular updates, photos, and detailed messages which really gave us peace of mind while we were away. It was clear Maisy felt comfortable and safe — she was relaxed, playful, and even slept well through the night. Cassandra was very attentive to Maisy’s routine and needs, and communication was smooth and easy the entire time. We truly appreciated the care and would absolutely book with her again.”

“Jackie was amazing with our dogs! She was flexible, took care of them as if they were her own, and sent lots of pictures! They loved their stay and we were very comfortable leaving them with Jackie. We would definitely recommend Jackie!”

“Oscar had another amazing stay with Carla! She is gentle and patient with our anxious dog. She offers many opportunities for playing, or sitting it out (like our dog), green grass to run on and comfy couches to lounge. Highly recommend Carla, she is a skilled caregiver!”

“I really enjoyed how I would get updates on Marcy. It reassured us she was doing good. Lindsay and her family were very accommodating to Marcy and made her feel at home. I appreciate it so much. Thank you. I recommend Lindsay to anyone looking for a sitter for their lovely pets.”

“Fantastic experience for us and our dog! Our somewhat anxious little guy loved his time with Jenna, which was a huge relief. We got lots of pictures and updates which was great. Highly recommend!”

“We loved Morgan and would highly recommend her. She sent daily photos and updates on how our Oliver was doing. Oliver needed special care as a senior dog and Morgan handles it like a pro. We’d give more stars but there are only five to give. Thank you, Morgan and family!”

“Ruth was great with Easy, she has a lovely house with a closed yard where he got to play a lot. She still walked him and sent lots of pictures. We'll definitely consider booking her in the future.”

“I left my dogs with Javiera for the 2nd time and they were very well looked after. I had no concerns leaving them with her and the dogs were excited when we arrived at her house. Javiera sent me pictures during their stay and followed their normal routine, even taking them on more walks than they normally get. The dogs were happy and healthy when I picked them up. I will definitely contact Javiera again!”

“This was Moose’s first time staying with Trevor & Sheila and it was a great experience! Moose is tricky with new people but they were so good to him and made sure he felt right at home. I will definitely book them again and recommend them to anyone looking for a couple that will care for your pet like it’s their own. Thank you so much Trevor & Sheila!”

“Cash had a great time with Nataliia and her dog Max!! He played lots and went for walks! She sent updates and pictures throughout his time there! I would recommend Nataliia!! ☺️”

“Wendy once again took care of Harlow and Carl for us. They had so much fun and tired out when they got home. She took them to the dog park a lot and sent us lots of pictures which we loved!”

“Sonja was absolutely amazing with Stella. She cared for her as if she was her own. She kept us updated with sweet pictures of Stella during our time away We will definitely be booking with her again. Thanks Sonja for making our holiday worry free!”

“Bella had a wonderful stay at Mitchell's. She plays well with her puppy friend Willow and learns to socialize. Mitchell took them on long river walks which Bella loves.”

“I wanted to start this off by saying I’ve never used Rover before or had anyone watch my cat Brow, plus all of this was last minute so I was definitely nervous. Natasha made me feel so comfortable with my decision the moment I met her. She is very kind, has amazing communication and took incredible care of Brow. 10/10 will definitely have Brow stay again and anyone on the fence or looking for a sitter I couldn’t recommend Natasha more. To know I can go away and Brow is happy and safe is an amazing feeling. Thank you so much again!”

About: With over 15 years of animal care experience, I’ve had the privilege of caring for pets of all shapes, sizes, ages, and personalities. Growing up surrounded by animals—both large and small—gave me a lifelong passion for their care and well-being. I spent 2 years working as a kennel attendant before moving into a veterinary clinic, where I worked for 6 years. During my time in the clinic, I gained hands-on experience with dogs and cats of all breeds, ages, and medical needs, including administering medications, caring for senior pets, assisting with recovery, and recognizing when something isn’t quite right. Now that I’m a stay-at-home mom, I truly miss my furry clients and the joy they brought to my days. I’d love the opportunity to care for your pet as if they were one of my own. Whether they need an energetic walking buddy, a calm companion, or lots of love and attention while you’re away, you can trust they’ll be in caring, experienced hands. Also actively passing down my love for animals to my children. I am a stay at home mom of 3 kids with plenty of free time - open & flexible schedule able to cater to specific needs 2 meals a day, experienced with medication - my beloved fur baby of 14 years passed in January 2026 from congestive heart failure so I know how important it is to maintain a schedule & make sure they get the things they need. I have a 1.5 year old neutered lab named Bodie - extremely friendly & loves everyone & everything
“Sayani and Deep were absolutely amazing. Took great care of my Sherlock. I will recommend them for everyone. Usually I have separation anxiety from my dog regular updates from them made me feel like he's home and was next to me always. I will certainly bring him back over 🙂”

“SherryLynn took great care of Oscar. She showed that she really cared about him by contacting me with her concerns. She was willing to work with pick up and drop off times that weren’t the most convenient. She also kept me up to date with photos and video. I wouldn’t hesitate to use her services again or to recommend her to others.”

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
