This was my second booking with Virginia. She is so wonderful with my two cats. One of my cats is diabetic and he always gets his injections on time. I love the pics and report card she provides. My cats are super happy, I trust that they are very well taken care of. I could really enjoy my vacation without worry. I would 100% recommend Virginia.

Rebecca was fantastic. The updates and the photos that she sent us while we were away really gave us peace of mind that our pup was being well taken care of. She was punctual and was very easy to deal with, you can tell that she really cares and wants to provide a great service. We won’t hesitate to use Rebecca again in the future.

Samana was so amazing with my 4 babies! She made me feel so reassured and sent me lots of photos and updates through her visit. If I were to leave my cats alone I’d always rebook with her, she’s also such a ray of sunshine!! If I could give her more than 5 stars I would!

About: Hi! My name is Alina. I am a full time student at the University of Alberta. I plan on becoming an elementary school teacher! I love all animals, especially dogs! I have a dog of my own, so I am quite familiar with a walking schedule, feeding, bathing and overall caring for a dog. I have also been walking and pet-sitting neighbours’, friends’ and family’s dogs for quite some time now (in both the summer and the winter months). Additionally, I have worked with dogs of all sizes, strengths, and energy levels! I would love a chance to find a fixed / stable schedule to become a part-time dog walker! My schedule is quite flexible and open and I have my own vehicle, so timing and distance will not be an issue. I look forward to hearing from you! My courses are all currently online so I have lots of availability, especially during weekdays when pups may need a walk or a bathroom break! When arriving to a pup’s home to visit, or to take them for a walk, my goal is to create a safe and fun environment for myself and the dog! Whether that be through lots of walks, treats, or cuddles, the ultimate goal is to create a meaningful bond with the pup!

About: Hello! I’m Brittany. I’m a health care aide by day and avid animal lover all the time! I have been around animals since I was a young girl, from cats to dogs, even bunnies you name it! We’ve had family dogs for more than 13+ years, a little Pekingese and a Pekingese/Pom. I love to take the dogs for sleepovers, sometimes a week or two at a time, and I have watched them many of times for my parents while they are away. My significant other also has a cat which I tend to and we brought home our own puppy in December 2023. I have experience with puppies to bigger sized dogs as I am also on the Spot walking app so that has allowed me lots of interactions with many different types of doggos. We can meet in person or have a conversation over the phone/FaceTime to get to know each other better before you book as well if that is something you are interested in! I am currently working part time shift work, so I have plenty availability to care for your furry little creatures. I am available on weekdays and most weekends We just moved into a pet friendly apartment in the Windermere area. Friendly neighborhood with a school and walking path nearby which gives us plenty of space to explore! If we aren’t outside you can find us snuggling on the couch with a good show and a coffee

About: I have alot of love and affection to give to animals. I love to look after pets because it allows me to care for and love the pets while their owners are away. I have a large fenced yard where the animals can play and get their exercise in a secure area. I love to walk so walking dogs gives me the opportunity to get some exercise as well as make them happy. We had a beautiful husky of our own, but my oldest daughter took her when she moved out because her boyfriend had a dog, and I miss having animals in the house. I have fostered rescue dogs for 2 years now, and I have many references available from people that I have cared for their fur babies (both cats and dogs). I look forward to meeting you and your pets! I am available for daily drop in visits, weekly visits or longer stays. I also provide daily dog walking. I have no pets of my own in the house I have a big backyard where the pups can run around, and also close to dog parks and lots of walking trails. I have crates if your pet likes the comfort of a crate, and lots of toys. I have a large basement for cats if they like their own space

Robbin is the best :) She's very kind and easy to chat with, and I am so happy with the care she gave my 2 cats while I was away for 2.5 weeks. I had Robbin come on the opposite days to a girlfriend of mine who was also helping to look over my boys, and it brought me so much comfort knowing that both her and my friend were in contact with each other the whole time. Robbin kept me in the loop and sent photos - it sounds terrible to say but, I could totally forget I even had cats while I was on vacation because I knew they were both in very capable and caring hands, hahaha. I would absolutely recommend her to someone looking for a cat sitter, and I would also hire her again in a heartbeat! Thanks so much Robbin!

About: My entire life has been filled with animals. I have never lived a day without one! From small rodents to reptiles to farm animals, I love them all and have a passion for caring for them. Currently, I am open to pet care part time! I left my job in the car biz in hopes to make animal care my long-term full time career but, in this economy I still do part time serving as well :) I have 2 mini Dachshunds to keep company on walks and dog park runs. For travel safety I have a protective cover and seat belt connectors to keep the fur babies safe.

It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 98% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
