About: Animals have been at the centre of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with dogs and cats, and I’ve shared my home with beloved cats for most of my adult life. Over the years I’ve also co-habited with small and medium dogs, cared for senior pets, and supported many animals through the last gentle stages of their lives. My professional background is in environmental science (35 years), a path I chose out of love and devotion to animals, wildlife, and the natural world. Outside of work, I spent years volunteering with animals — from supporting elephants and reptiles at the Valley Zoo to caring for over 70 elephants at an orphanage in Sri Lanka. “Zenna did a great job housesitting our 2 large dogs for a week! Her communication was great throughout the initial booking, meet and greet, and our trip. Our dogs eat raw and can be a bit of a handful, but she took the time to ask all about their routines, temperaments, and quirks during the meet and greet. She sent update pictures throughout our trip, and when we got home our dogs seemed happy and well taken care of. Our house is clean (even with a shedding Husky). I'd definitely feel comfortable have Zenna watch our pups again!”
