I work a remote job and have lots of time during the day for pet breaks. Besides the occasional errand, I am happy to devote time to furbabies. My first job at 15 was part time at a dog kennel for 1.5 years. There I would take care up to 30 dogs at a time, including puppies, seniors, disabled, blind, deaf, and dogs who have medical needs. About: I was the lucky owner of a Boston Terrier for 13 years as well as previous family dogs throughout my lifetime. I have a special place in my heart for senior dogs who may require a little extra love and attention. I have experience with puppies and adult dogs through to seniors. I live an active lifestyle and like to involve my dogs in everything. No furniture is off limits, my home is currently a pet free and child free home. I currently work full time but am available on weekends starting Friday after 5pm until Sunday night (9pm). I am a homebody but prefer to involve my pets in everything I do so if I do go out I like to bring them along if the occasion suits. I love walks and typically do multiple a day. I have a private fenced yard with a pet free and child free home. Your pet would have full access to the entire house which is a 3 bedroom townhome. I love cuddling on the couch and sleeping in my bed is no problem. I live in a Kanata suburb which has many walking trails.

About: Long before petsitting became a commoditized business, Debbie Ozarko was on the Ottawa scene bringing joy to the lives of dogs and their people with her dog walking service, "We Take the Dogs Out" in 2000. This eventually morphed into, "It’s a Ruff Life Doggie Daycare" which thrived until her move to the British Columbia coast in 2013. Her love for such beautiful intimacy with animals has only deepened over time, and with her return to the Ottawa area she is eager to offer her exceptional services once again. Debbie is also a long-time volunteer with the Rideau Valley Wildlife Sanctuary and the IFAW Northern Dogs Project. Animals truly are her life. Debbie brings it back to what is most meaningful for all: respect, integrity and generosity of spirit—for you, and for your furry, fuzzy and feathered animal companions. Animals are my life! It doesn't matter if they are residents are not, they are all treated with love, kindness, respect, and compassion. My schedule is constructed around their needs first. I have access to several quiet areas where field, forest and streams abound for off-leash romps. If dogs are better with on-leash walks, I'm happy to take them to green spaces where they have access to lots of sniffing to satiate that deep primal canine need. I also provide healthy, grain-free treats...just because. Of course, I offer only these with your approval beforehand.

About: I can't promise that I will love your dogs as much as you do but I sure will try! I've had dogs all my life and haven't known a purer kind of love. Currently, two dachshunds form part of my family but we do not live in the same house. I visit them often and love spending time with them. However, when we are not together, I love welcoming other dogs into my life. Small, medium or large, I love them all. It brings me great joy to be around them and help them live their absolute best lives. I especially want to make them feel safe and happy in my company. So why should your bff come spend time with me ? Because when we are together, we will spend our day taking long walks and enjoying belly rubs. We may also spend some time practicing some cool tricks or taking some cute photos for you to enjoy. We will then be ready to nap and snuggle for the rest of the day. It's a win-win situation for everyone involved! PS: I am the main caregiver, but my sister, Jean, who is also a dog lover, is around to provide quality care to all four-legged companions. It's a two for one deal in this household, which means double the pampering. PS - PS: I've gone back to school full time, so I've had to cut down my availability significantly. I am still available for my regulars and happy to take on more paw friends if my schedule allows me. With summer here my schedule is very open and I can schedule just about anything. My schedule will change starting in September. I will update my schedule then. When your pets are under my care when outside they will always have their leash/harness on then just to assure the safety of your pet. I live on the river and have a small unfenced yard. I also live near an Algonquin trail and love taking the pets on walks.
