“Laura was so sweet to my babies! She took lots of pictures and gave thorough reports. She spent time playing with them and throwing the ball. I appreciated her kindness.”

“Adisyn did a superb job of taking care of our dogs and cat while we were traveling. She went above and beyond by cleaning up any accidents they had and she made fast friends with our dog that doesn’t like strangers. I would highly recommend Adisyn to anyone that requires absolute trust when it comes to taking care of their fur babies.”
“Shawna is absolutely the best dog sitter in this world!!! She is sweet and humorous with the pups, really learns their personality!! I could tell that my babies really loved Shawna!!! About: As an animal lover, I've taken care of multiple animals since high school. The number of animals that where in my care ranged from dogs, cats, reptiles, hamsters, rabbits, etc. I currently have a full time job from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. I am available for check-ins, housesitting, and walks in the morning. I have a small apartment that is great for smaller dogs and cats to roam. I provide toys and have a friendly rabbit to keep them company.
“She was wonderful. Our cats are unfortunately bad and broke glass and she very kindly cleaned it up and took out the trash for us. She has been super responsive throughout and we couldn’t ask for much more. One hundred percent recommend.”

“Makayla certainly lived up to the hype! She was accommodating, and genuine. Communication was great as well. Blue did not wish to see her go when his stay concluded. I am already looking to book her for upcoming visits!”

“Alex took good care of our cat Tucker and faithfully came daily over several weeks to feed and love on him. She was responsive to requests and helpful in reporting any developments with Tucker or around the house.”

About: I have pretty much taken in every stray my parents have allowed me too ever since I could remember. Growing up i’ve had a variety of dogs, cats, fish, hamsters, and chickens. My mother and I moved to Olive Branch in November and since then I’ve been volunteering at a horse ranch a couple of miles from me. I love being outdoors so if you babies need a walk, I am more than happy to oblige! I will say the only service I can not offer is, your babies staying with me. My own dog is reactive to other dogs, from past traumas. I just graduated High-school and will be working part time, so I have all the time needed for your babies! Also if any plants need to be taken care of I can do so as well. I am available for weekends, early morning, mid-day, and even over night if needed. At my house my animals are spoiled, so I will treat your babies the same. They will get a multitude of cuddles, and just leave any special instructions like meals or medication. (However I am not specialized in injections.)
“Jeffrey was great! He is kind and considerate. We booked on a short notice but he still took the time to come by to see our set up. He was very consistent in his visits. I would book him again!”

About: I've had furry companions (dogs, cats, guinea pigs) since I was a child. I went from only taking care of them at home, to working at a no-kill shelter, to now working as a petsitter/dogwalker while I moonlight at a pet food store. I can’t wait to spoil your fur-babies!🤗—I want to have a lasting and dependable role in your pets life My day current job has very little hours, allowing me the flexibility to work my schedule to fit all pet parents that would need me I am comfortable with crating and handling dogs of various sizes and temperaments. I also have experience with managing the time it takes to clean an area and be attentive to a pup or kitten.
About: 8 years of professional petsitting experience on top of multiple years of pet ownership; includes housesitting, house maintenance, and care of non-traditional pets such as rodents and reptiles. I’m currently working part-time, so my schedule is flexible and wide open for plenty of time to love on your furry friends. I receive my schedule weeks in advance and am able to prioritize my clients effectively and ensure the highest quality of care. Due to my apartment complex not allowing pets, I care for pets at clients’ homes, whether that’s through pop-in visits to the home or housesitting for the amount of time needed. This ensures that your pets are in an environment that they are comfortable in. I communicate with clients before and throughout the visit to ensure they are kept in the loop while I care for their pets, including photos, and I never hesitate to ask questions if I have any.

“Liz was amazing in helping care for our pups while we were out of town!! We were so grateful she was willing to help on Thanksgiving and our dogs instantly loved her. Liz will be caring for them again soon and we’re so glad to have found her!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
