“Macy was fantastic! She sent photos each day. She scooped the litter each day and spent some extra time with my boy because he needed some extra attention. I felt confident that my cats were in good hands.”

“She was thoughtful and extremely helpful. She cleaned up after our animals so we didn't have to come back from our trip to clean up. She also watered our plants. I would highly recommend her!”

“Janelle was fantastic. We are from out of town and we're in Butte for a wedding. She showed up on time, communicated well both before and after watching the dogs, and took them for multiple walks. Our dogs were relaxed and happy when we got back to our hotel. We would absolutely use her again (and will, if we are om Butte in the future).”

“This was my first time using Rover. And I must admit I felt a little uneasy. I had to leave town urgently because my dad passed away. Let me just say, I’m so relieved that I used this app. And I was blessed to have found Alexandra. I felt completely confident to have her caring for my beloved cat. She was reliable, communicative and kind. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire her again. Thanks so much, Alexandra, you’re the best.”

“Jackie was great she sat for us over Christmas. My dogs and cats were taken very well of. I highly recommend her and will definitely use her again. She was in constant contact with me the whole time and sending pics of my loved ones. Thank you for taking such great care of them.”

About: I Grew up with dogs and cats. I'm confident with basic care, feeding, walks, and cuddles. Calm, dependable, and treat every pet with love and respect. *DISCLAIMER* I am off work for the summer so my following info doesn't apply time wise for the summer months! I work part time, and I'm gone from 9:30am-2:20pm (5 hours) Monday-Friday. Because I work for the school district though, I am always home on holidays and some random days! I am otherwise always home and always willing to take any dog on a ride with me if they tolerate it well :) I have 3 kids, ages 5-12. They love animals as do I. We have a very large fenced in yard here in Rocker. Not much traffic comes through here at all nor people. Our neighbors have a dog but he is dog friendly. As long as your pup isn't a fence jumper we should be great! I also have a decent sized home for cats and plenty of places for a cat to find solace if they don't particularly like kids petting them. I respect an animals need for boundaries and understand what "I'm uncomfortable" looks like and how to give an animal space. I honestly prefer dogs who can be crated if they cannot control their impulse to chew on furniture if I have to run out or be sleeping. If they are well behaved that is a different story. I do request if you want boarding, that your pup is kid friendly. I am glad to help almost anyone but obviously my children's and your pet's safety is my #1 priority!
“Lisa is an amazing pet sitter! She is consciencous, caring, and responsible! Lisa built a great relationship with Erik and he is a very shy, particular kitty. She was also extremely flexible. I would rehire Lisa in a minute and recommend her highly for all your pet sitting needs!”
About: I am flexible schedule-wise, plenty of endurance for multiple walks/arrangements a day, tons of pet care experience and enthusiasm for making you and your pet’s lives easier! I am currently working part time, and looking to make new furry friends and a little extra cash. My schedule is pretty flexible and transportation is reliable. Open to weekly visits or as needed for travel/occasions. I live in a home with a fenced yard in Butte. Right now there are 2 dogs and a cat in the residence. Unless otherwise agreed upon, I will never share a client’s personal info, photos of their pet, and will always make sure to lock up safe and sound when leaving a client’s residence.
The median cost per visit for cat sitting in Butte is $19

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
