I've owned pets as long as I can remember and have actively cared for my own since I was 11 years old. At 13, I began house sitting and pet sitting for family and close friends. Around age 20, I worked as a pet care assistant for a major pet retail store for 2 years. After acquiring a Bachelor's of Science in Management and a short switch to retail, I decided I needed to return to my passion. I worked as the sole closing receptionist for a 24hr hybrid emergency/ general practice animal clinic. After almost 4 years of being the first point of contact for many animal emergencies, I decided I wanted to help pets in a different way by becoming a veterinary assistant. I was fortunate enough to find a nonprofit organization that fostered my expansion of veterinary knowledge and animal handling skills for the past 3 years. My current goal is to use this knowledge to help care for local pets and give owners peace of mind while they are away.
