Information Alexandra S. would like to know about your pet

It's important for me to understand your pet's personality before closely interacting with them. Tell me about how they act with you, with family, with strangers, at the vet... I want to know it all. The more I know, the better I can address your pet's needs.

A typical day

I love to spend time with pets doing what they want to do. Whether that is lounging, coordinating a photoshoot,or taking a walk along the hiking trails near my home is up to your pet!

Pet care experience

I've owned pets as long as I can remember and have actively cared for my own since I was 11 years old. At 13, I began house sitting and pet sitting for family and close friends. Around age 20, I worked as a pet care assistant for a major pet retail store for 2 years. After acquiring a Bachelor's of Science in Management and a short switch to retail, I decided I needed to return to my passion. I worked as the sole closing receptionist for a 24hr hybrid emergency/ general practice animal clinic. After almost 4 years of being the first point of contact for many animal emergencies, I decided I wanted to help pets in a different way by becoming a veterinary assistant. I was fortunate enough to find a nonprofit organization that fostered my expansion of veterinary knowledge and animal handling skills for the past 3 years. My current goal is to use this knowledge to help care for local pets and give owners peace of mind while they are away. Animals I've cared for: Dogs (XS-2X), cats, birds, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, mice, leopard geckos, bearded dragons, snakes, turtles, tortoises, fish...

Alex was a wonderful house and pet sitter during a long weekend away! Truly took all of our separation anxiety away knowing she was taking such great care of our animals. She provided multiple daily updates and photos which was such a lovely touch. She’s very responsible, communicative, caring and friendly. Thank you, Alex!

This was my first time using Rover. And I must admit I felt a little uneasy. I had to leave town urgently because my dad passed away. Let me just say, I’m so relieved that I used this app. And I was blessed to have found Alexandra. I felt completely confident to have her caring for my beloved cat. She was reliable, communicative and kind. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire her again. Thanks so much, Alexandra, you’re the best.

Alex did a great job. She made sure I had updates every day on my little Rhea. She’s a very timid little thing she sent pictures everyday and came and met her three times before we even had her booked. I would have her back for sure. Tip was offered she was grateful
