“Carla helped took care of my dog for a month. She is very accommodating and helpful if you need anything. We missed our dog very much so it was nice to see all the pics and videos that Carla sent everyday and know that our dog was in good care Thank you Carla!”

“June is amazing, she made of feel very comfortable leaving out DOG mocha with her family. June was great at responding immediately, asking care questions and helping with logistics. I can not recommend enough. Mocha came back so tired from the walks and their backyard, she had a great time.”

“Dorothy is amazing and we couldn’t recommend her enough. She took the time to get to know my pup and her needs, and sent many updates while we were away. We are happy to have found someone we trust so much!”

“Very happy with your service Jessica! Macie wears a special tracking collar so we don't ever lose her. But we can see she must have had good walks and play time with 30k steps the first day she 31k the 2nd day. The only other time we boarded her was at a professional kennel where she had a max of 800 steps for one day. So huge difference. Thank you! The pics were greatly appreciated as well! Would definitely recommend you.”

“Carissa was very sweet with my dogs, Charlie and Murphy. She sent pictures of my dogs being spoiled every day. I didn’t have any worries leaving them in her care. Hope to be a repeat customer!”

“She's simply the best! Reliable, caring, and good at keeping in touch. Sending me photos daily and brief updates on what Sugar is doing. Thank you, Beth! You made taking this vacation a little easier knowing Sugar was in good hands.”

“Highly recommend Rusty. On our meet & greet, he carefully introduced Kali to Banjo both outside and then inside to ensure no personality clashes. He asked many questions to ensure he knew Kali and her needs. On our drop off date, she immediately greated Rusty as an old friend. He took great care of Kali, sending messages & videos daily. His house and fenced yard are perfect for dogs. Kalid came home clean (even tho it rained a lot), happy, and tired! He responded quicky to our frequent txt updates on drop off & pickup times, due to traffic issues. Will book again and recommend him for your doggy care.”

“Kim was excellent with our high energy puppy. She provided a ton of pictures and gave her a lot of playtime outside! I would highly recommend Kim and plan on using her again in the future!”

“Melody did an absolutely amazing job of making Mischa comfortable. There were fireworks outside and she built Mischa a blanket fort to calm her down; that is what we do at home, but we forgot to forewarn Melody...Mischa runs to blankies to hide when there's thunder or fireworks. Melody's just one of those people who stays attuned to how dogs are feeling and responds...would highly recommend her!”

“Looking for a petsitter? Look NO further. Jill is amazing! She knows her stuff with animals. She is super patient and treats every pet that comes through her doors like family. I wouldn't hesitate to use her services again, and plan on recommending her to my friends and family.”

“We had another wonderful experience with Kelly. Charlie stayed with her and her pups for the weekend-and it just happened to be Charlies 3rd Birthday. She went above and beyond celebrating him with homemade dog-friendly cupcakes, which was so thoughtful and adorable. It gave us such peace of mind that he was not only looked after but truly cared for. Once again he came home happy, healthy and relaxed. We are very grateful for the extra effort Kelly put in to make his Birthday special!! Highly recommend her to anyone.”

“Anastasiia did an amazing job taking care of our pup while we were out of town and I highly recommend her for boarding! She made drop off and pick up a breeze and she sent me plenty of updates throughout the week which was so nice! We will definitely be booking her again for our next trip. Thank you so much Anastasiia! :)”

“Jae and her family were amazing to my sweet puppy. I could not have asked for a better family to take care of my dog; we felt absolutely blessed to have such a perfect home when we were gone. The entire family treated her like she was part of the family, and I always felt comforted on my vacation to receive pictures of my dog enjoying her days with her interim family. I will absolutely only use Jae now. And our dogs have become great friends too, so what an incredible bonus!”

“Absolutely amazing, my dog has stayed with and friends anx family before and usually for at least a few days she wont eat, she wont come out from under a bed, she was out and eating before the first day was up. I was absolutely stunned and so was my family. Will 100% use again for my next trip!”

“Anna, took really great care of our Golden Retriever, Beau! I was pleased the find her taking him for a walk when I called to pick him up early. We appreciate her flexibility and love for dogs!”

Dickson watched our dog Sadie for a few days while we were out of state, and we couldn’t have asked for better care. His home was clean and welcoming, and he has such a calm, positive energy. He sent us photos and videos along the way, which gave us real peace of mind while we were gone. It was clear Sadie felt comfortable and happy with him. We’ll definitely be booking Dickson again

Natalia took care of our dog for the first time and was wonderful. She provided updates and lots of pictures. I could tell that our dog was comfortable and happy, and he was well taken care of with plenty of attention and nice walks. I would highly recommend Natalia! She's awesome!

Esther and Daniel did an excellent job of caring for Oakley! It was his first time staying with a new sitter so we were a little apprehensive, but we didn't need to be. I received pictures everyday from Esther and it was clear Oakley was having the time of his life. They were also super accommodating when we asked to change our pick-up date by a day for weather related travel delays. We couldn't be happier with our experience and we will definitely be using their services again!

Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
