About: I have a few dogs at my house already but I've also been taking care of animals since I was a kid. I used to volunteer at rescues. My family also has many pets and farm animals I help take care of these include fish, hamsters, and budgies. I'm currently in college right now studying life science but I have plenty of free time. During that time I'd like to take care of animals. I like to take care of your pets however you like them taken care of. I'll wake up early for morning walks or stay up late to clean up after them.

About: Hello! I have been around dogs, and owned them, my entire life. Whether your pup is big or small, young or old, I am comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities. I currently have two friendly mixed breed female dogs who get along well with both dogs and cats. We love going on walks, taking car rides, and spending quality time with our four legged friends. I offer a variety of services, including feedings, medication administration, doggy daycare, drop in visits, walks, and more. I am flexible, dependable, and easy to work with, and I am always happy to accommodate special requests whenever possible. I do have three children, so I ask that any pets staying in my home are comfortable around kids. My children have been raised around animals and understand how to respectfully approach and interact with pets that are not our own. Over the years, I have provided pet and house sitting services for many families, and I have several references who would be happy to speak about my reliability, trustworthiness, and the quality of care I provide. I understand that your pets are part of your family, and I will care for them with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own. I look forward to meeting you and your canine companion(s)! As a teacher, I am home for the summer, which allows me to provide plenty of supervision, attention, and companionship throughout the day. Your pup will rarely be left alone, and if I do have any planned outings during their stay, I will always let you know in advance so you can feel completely comfortable. I also keep an extra kennel available for dogs who prefer having a quiet space of their own to relax, nap, or unwind. Whether your dog enjoys being part of the action or appreciates a little personal space, I strive to create a safe, comfortable, and stress free environment where they can feel right at home. I do not have a fenced in yard but we live on 5 acres with plenty of space to run around and exercise if your companion is staying at my home.
“Sandra was fantastic! We needed to leave our dog Samwise with somebody during an appointment because he gets separation anxiety in new places and she was flexible and very communicative.”

About: I grew up with many dogs of all sizes and personalities — from calm seniors to hyper puppies — and we also fostered animals growing up. Before having children, I worked at a doggy daycare, where I learned to care for multiple pets at once. Currently, my husband and I board for family and friends, and we’re excited to expand our care to more pets because we truly love animals! I am a stay-at-home wife, so your pets will have someone at home with them throughout the day giving attention, cuddles, and care. My husband works outside of the home, but he’s happy to help and loves animals too! We have three kids (infant to 8 years old) who absolutely adore animals, and we welcome both dogs and cats of all personalities. While our 2.5-acre yard isn’t fenced, we have a dog trolley system that allows pets to safely explore and enjoy the outdoors while leashed. We also love walks, playtime, and games of fetch for dogs who enjoy daily exercise. With us, your furry family members will receive lots of love, attention, and supervision throughout the day! I’m a stay-at-home mom, so she’s available to care for pets throughout the day. My husband is home outside of my work schedule, so together we can provide attention, supervision, and love for your dog or cat almost all day. Safety: Your pet’s safety is our top priority. While our 2.5-acre yard isn’t fully fenced, we use a dog trolley system that allows pets to safely roam and explore while remaining leashed. Inside the home, pets are supervised at all times. Trust: We treat every pet like family, providing attentive care, consistent routines, and regular updates so you can feel confident while you’re away. Environment: Our home is loving, calm, and kid-friendly, with plenty of space for pets to play, rest, and feel comfortable. We welcome dogs and cats of all sizes and personalities.

About: I will take care of as if my own. I tend to get attached and fall in Love fast with furry friends. It’s actually called baby kitty syndrome. Like when you want to squeeze them so hard you will hurt them. Lol I need something to do with myself and make a little extra cash. I’ve lived with dogs, cats, birds, fish and rabbits all my life. I rescued 2 dogs, brother and sister, from the woods when they were 6wks old. They made it to be 16. I do have issues with my left leg/foot and lower back. So I won’t be able to lift more than 25lb max. I’m new to the area so this will help me to get out of my house and do something. I actually watch pets to get my fur baby fix and for a place to stay, specially when I travel. And im usually solo on my travels I will stay in your home to make things as stress free as possible for your fur babies. I will follow all your instructions and love them as my own
About: I am a dog lover who has a mini Bernedoodle. I have had senior dogs and dogs with extensive medical needs. I am able to administer meds in any way shape or form and have done the off leash K9 training with two of my own dogs now, so am aware of some basic commands. My husband and I both work from home full time. We have a great back yard for your pet to run around in with our sweet boy Winston. I have one sweet young dog who would love an occasional dog visitor and playmate. I will treat your pet just like I do, which one may define as a bit on the spoiled side!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 318 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Burrowsville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Burrowsville commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in VA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
