About: Hi! We’re Colorado and Utah natives who ended up in Charleston, SC, for PA school before my husband’s job in orthopedics brought us to Virginia. We’ve fallen in love with this area and with raising our daughter here! Our 11-year-old beagle, Julia, is the heart of our family. She was our first baby, and I remember someone once telling me that when you have a child, you won’t love your dog as much anymore. I couldn’t disagree more! Julia is everything to us, and our daughter calls her “sister.” ❤️ I grew up with a dog who was my whole world, and I come from a family of dog lovers (my mom has THREE beagles!). When Julia was a puppy, we used Rover in Utah to meet other dogs and take them hiking with us. We’ve always loved having dogs in our lives, and we’re excited to welcome some new furry friends into our home here! You’ll often find us walking or scootering around CW with Julia, and if you hear a beagle chasing squirrels, there’s a good chance it’s us! We also have a fenced yard for sniffing, exploring, and I also work from home, so I’m around most of the day to keep your pup company and give them plenty of attention, playtime, and snuggles! We’re thoughtful about size, breed, and temperament because Julia’s comfort and our daughter’s safety come first. Our daughter loves dogs and is gentle and sweet with them. Julia’s best friend is a Goldendoodle, so we have a soft spot for those curly-haired cuties, too! We especially love sweet, easygoing older dogs, and we’re happy to consider puppies as long as they’re potty-trained. We do require a meet-and-greet before booking to make sure everyone gets along and feels comfortable. We know how hard it can be to leave your dog with someone else. We’ve had a bad pet-care experience ourselves, and it really crushed us. It made us realize how important it is to find someone you genuinely trust with your fur baby. We want you to feel good about where your dog is staying and know they’re being treated like one of our own. Julia has Cushing’s disease and takes medication every night, so we understand the importance of keeping up with routines and giving medications as directed. My husband is a physician assistant, and we’re comfortable administering routine medications, too. Most of all, we want your pup to feel at home here, whether that means playing in the yard, going for walks, or curling up for some snuggles. We’re happy to send photos and updates while you’re away because we know how nice it is to see your dog happy and settled. We can’t wait to meet you and your furry family member! 🐶

Our furniture is pet-friendly and we have a fenced in back yard. We love to go to the park and hike with our dogs when the weather is pleasant! 🐾 Health & Vaccination Policy 🐾 For the safety and well-being of all pets in my care, I require that all dogs are up-to-date on the following vaccinations: • Rabies • DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza) • Bordetella (kennel cough) Puppies must have completed their full vaccination series appropriate for their age. I may request proof of vaccinations prior to your booking, especially for boarding or daycare stays where pets may be in shared spaces. Additionally: • Dogs should be free of fleas, ticks, and any contagious illnesses • Please let me know if your pet has recently been sick or exposed to illness • Pets showing signs of illness (vomiting, diarrhea, coughing, etc.) may need to reschedule for everyone’s safety I truly care about creating a safe, clean, and stress-free environment for every pet. About: I’ve owed 4 Labrador retrievers, and still currently have two, one is my duck dog and one’s my old retired boy. I love animals. We enjoy daily walks, and mental stimulation! They get plenty of outdoor time as well as one on one time! I’m currently working as an estimator from home so I have plenty of free time for animals and making sure they get the proper care they need while under my supervision!
