About: I’ve lived my whole life with dogs since I was in the second grade. I have my own dog, named Miller who is a rescue from Texas. He’s my soul dog. He and I enjoy long walks with beautiful views! I work full time in a hospital, which I work 4 -10 hour shifts. I have off every Tuesday which I would love to take care of dogs! I am available most weekends unless I am scheduled to work. I have one medium sized dog who gets along with other dogs with slow introductions. We also have a kennel for safety if absolutely necessary.

About: Hi all! I’m one of those, I love animals more than people types. (No offense to any of you) ☺️ I ugly cry when I see an animal get hurt on TV or in the movies. My mom told me that when I was younger, I used to feed all the ants on our patio bread and my most infamous rescues were saving a one-winged fly and rescuing a bee from drowning in a puddle. *proud moments for me* 😁 I have always had pets growing up, both dogs and cats and several other critters. I currently own 3 dogs that are rescues. I have fostered dogs plus taken care of my friend’s pets and I have experience with pets of all ages including senior and blind dogs as well. The reason I joined Rover is because I have a passion for not only helping animals but people as well. They are way more comfortable and happy in their own space plus it’s easier for them to stick to their normal routine at home. I prefer to go by their normal routine if at all possible. About: Hello, I’m Ashlyn! If you were to ask anyone who knows me what I’m like, the first thing they would tell you is that I am animal OBSESSED! I have been surrounded by animals + cats alike my entire life. I currently own two big dogs (Pitbull +Aussie) + one small dog (Shih Tzu) and a cat! I strive to ensure your pet has the best experience possible while you are away. Coming from a pet parent myself I know the fear of leaving your bestfriend in someone else’s care can be a lot. That’s why I believe it is important to keep you in the loop for a stress-free time away, while also giving your animal plenty of enrichment and love to distract their worried mind while you are gone. I am experienced with a wide range of different kinds of dogs. From reactive, friendly, and anxious I have seen it all. I am more then willing to work through quirks your animal has in order to make their experience the best it can be! Some training skills I am well-versed in is leash training, socialization, basic manners, puppy care, senior care, and separation anxiety issues. I am so excited to meet your animal and give it the best experience possible! I currently work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. Hours vary week to week. Let me know your preferred schedule and we can make it work! I am absolutely able to leave work (distance permitting) during my break to let your animal outside and let out some energy if needed! After work I am able to give your pet some exercise whether that is a walk or playing with some toys after work. For house-sitting/ drop ins- I am a firm believer that following a similar routine to what the owner (you) follows will give your pet the least stressful experience possible. I will stick to your potty schedule for your animal as well as feeding. As for exercise, I am up to whatever your dog or cat prefers! I can go for walks, play fetch, provide enrichment with feeding time or play with toys. I am always willing to go to nearby park with your pup if preferred! Whatever your pet loves and makes them feel the safest! For dog-walking, I am willing to walk however long your animal needs! Does your pet have a favorite route? Let me know and I will follow it! Any nearby trails or parks? I am always down to visit them with your pup if wanted! I have personal experience with leash-pulling and reactivity so as long as I am made aware of these things and have met your dog, I am more then willing to work through these things on our walk! I am big on taking my dogs and shelter dogs to parks or big areas to run or explore. If this is something you would be interested in, I could totally take your dog out for an hour to exercise them!
About: What sets me apart? When your pet is in my care (at my home or your own), I make them my priority from start to finish and treat them like my own. When guest dogs are staying in my home I sleep with them in our spare bedroom (no kenneling at night or during the day unless you request I do so) and if I'm house sitting you can rest assured that I will leave your home and pets as good or better than I found them. I never charge extra for walks, playing fetch, taking them on a car ride, or doing an activity they enjoy. I want your pet to feel like they're on vacation, too :) When I'm house sitting for a client I aim to be there the entire time, and since I work remotely (as long as you have quality wi-fi) I am able to work from your home - this means your pet gets even more time and attention, and if I do have to leave it will only be for a very short period and I will communicate this to you prior. If you do not need/want me there 24/7 we can discuss and adjust price based on what we agree upon during our meet and greet. I aim to be as flexible as possible to meet both your need and your budget... I know this is an investment! I am here because I love the idea of helping other pet-parents know their pets can be taken care of when they are busy or want to enjoy time away with loved ones. I am also here because anyone who knows me knows how much I love animals :) both my own and any animal I meet. I have experience with all sorts of animals and I'm equally as comfortable with both dogs and cats... big and small. I also have experience with tricky behaviors (aggressiveness, food guarding, potty training, learning to walk on a leash, teaching commands, etc.). I can administer medicine, communicate with vet offices effectively, and I am known for providing all of the updates/pictures/videos someone would like while I'm caring for their pet! For awareness, dogs and cats are kept separate in our home. We do this for safety :) There is an underground fence for our dogs and this is an option if your dogs are collar trained. If not, no problem - I am happy to take pets out on a leash. Safety is my top priority, so I will strictly follow the instructions given for your pet(s). When it comes to inside the home, I will closely monitor all play/interactions and if needed, I will separate and/or give primarily 1 on 1 time with your pet if that is what they require. Please note: if you live more than 45 miles from my address I do charge a 1x flat fee of $50.00 while house sitting. Similarly, if you live more than 25 miles from my address I charge a 1x flat fee of $12.00 for dog walking and/or drop-in visits. Thank you for your understanding!

walkers on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
