About: Growing up with and caring for my own dog has taught me how important patience, consistency, and attention are when it comes to pets. I’m very attentive to a dog’s behavior, energy levels, and comfort, and I always make sure they feel safe, cared for, and loved. I also have experience with basic grooming, keeping routines consistent, and giving pets calm, gentle care based on their individual needs and personality. I'm currently looking fo a Pet care fits well into my daily and weekly routine because I’m someone who enjoys staying active, organized, and consistent. While I’m currently looking for a part-time summer job, pet sitting and care is something that also works well with my schedule long-term because it gives me flexibility once I start school again. I’m able to balance responsibilities well, and I enjoy spending time with animals as part of my routine rather than seeing it as just work. job for the summer. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and comfortable as possible. I make sure they are fed on schedule, have fresh water, get plenty of attention, playtime, walks if needed, and a clean environment. I’m very attentive to a pet’s behavior and comfort level, and I always try to create a calm, safe, and loving atmosphere while respecting the owner’s instructions and home. About: I’ve always had a love for animals, and I treat every pet like they’re my own. I’m patient, dependable, and make it my priority to keep pets safe, happy, and comfortable while you’re away. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or sticking to your pet’s routine, I’ll provide the same care and attention I’d want for my own pets. I’m comfortable caring for puppies, senior pets, and animals with different personalities and energy levels. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know your pet is in good hands. As a Division I student-athlete, I have basketball practice Monday through Thursday until around 1:30 p.m., which makes me available for afternoon, evening, and overnight pet care during the week. My weekends are completely open, giving me plenty of time to provide attentive, reliable care. I enjoy staying active, so whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, or simply needs companionship, I’ll make sure they receive the same love and attention I give my own pets back home. Since I currently live in a dorm, I’m unable to provide pet care in my own home. However, I’m happy to care for your pets in the comfort of their own home, where they can stay in a familiar environment. I treat every home with the utmost respect by keeping it clean, organized, and exactly as I found it. I’ll follow your pet’s routine closely, make sure they feel safe and comfortable, and provide plenty of attention, exercise, and affection while you’re away. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing both your pet and your home are in good hands.

Iman was wonderful! I have never left my dogs before but had to in order to move. She was patient, truthful, transparent about her services, and most importantly KIND. I was a mess and she talked me through all the changes and what she thought was best for my animals. She was very professional when she met them and when we walked them. She came at all of her scheduled visits and spent time with them even sending me photos to keep me calm. Most importantly, the last photo she sent me of my little, old lady, I could tell that Leela was sad to see her new friend go. She really did a great job caring for my babies and even left me samples of her dog food. I will definitely use her again and highly recommend!!!

About: I grew up in a multi pet home and learned to walk, train and groom pets from a young age. I cared for the last family dog through her medically tedious senior years. Through college I pet sat and walked for friends and family. For 2 years I worked for a veterinary clinic, although my job was marketing I often was asked to assist with holding and monitoring patients. When I became a pet owner I adopted puppies raising them through potty and crate training. I am proud to say they continue to be healthy and happy. Now we foster and pet sit dogs of all ages and sizes because of the dog friendly environment we’ve created at home. My success in pet lies with gaining the pets trust. I approach them slowly and go at their pace, sitting and waiting on the ground if necessary. I am pet sitting and walking full time so I have plenty of time to dedicate to my clients! Dogs are typically walked and out between 7am and 9pm. I have a fully fenced yard with ample room for running and playing. There are four resident dogs who are friendly and used to guests. We can crate your pup or have them sleep in a bed or in bed with me. Water is available at all times through a 2 gallon water dispenser.

About: After loving and caring for my dog of 12 years, Fuzzy Wuzzy, I decided to take up dog care/dog walking to care for other pets who need it. I worked for a Professional Company, ‘Canine Care,’ for a year, and it was one of the best experiences of my life! I work with barking, lunging, curious, drooly, happy, jumpy dogs all day, and I won’t have a problem with however your dog is! I look forward to meeting and having a great, safe, time with them. I am available pretty much most days for house sitting and walking. I text back very quickly so just ask and I’ll let you know right away! I have a fenced in back yard, no pets in the house and if you’re comfortable pets are allowed on the furniture. For walking, I have 6 foot and 10 foot leashes, and my neighborhood is on the quieter side if you’re dog is sensitive to noise. Let me know if you have any other questions I’m happy to answer.

About: They call me that because once you start feeding squirrels, birds, stray cats, neighborhood dogs walking by, and maybe a raccoon & possum once or twice, like me, then you’ll start to befriend them. Soon after it’ll start to feel like animals are attracted to you (but it’s mostly because I give them food lol). I go by Janet and I love animals from feathery to furry. I have 4 birds, 7 cats and 1 turtle (all rescues). I know that with the proper care and instruction I can take care of any friend! New update from November 2025 - I’m back on Rover after a year-long hiatus and accepting new clients in the Chicago land area and northwest Indiana. 😊 My husband and I moved into a house with a spacious backyard in Lansing, Illinois. I’m open for arranging pick up and drop off as I do have a reliable transportation. Lastly, a meet and greet at my home would be ideal so your pup(s) can meet my husband, who will be there a majority of the time, and get a feel of where they will be staying. But rest assured I will be 100% responsible at all times for your pup(s) while under my care. I currently work from home. I set my own schedule, so I’m available to work whenever I am needed including mornings and weekends. Preferably daytime and Fri - Sat date night evening. I care for pets by making sure to thoroughly read care instructions and immediately contacting the owner by either call or txt if I have any questions. And most importantly by never letting them out of my sight!

About: I have over 10 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs, including my own dog who lived with diabetes and eventually lost her vision. During that time, I was responsible for administering daily insulin injections, managing a specialized prescription diet, monitoring her health, and ensuring she remained comfortable and happy. This experience taught me patience, attention to detail, and how to care for pets with unique medical needs. In addition to caring for my own dog, I have regularly looked after my siblings' dogs and friends' pets, providing feeding, walks, playtime, companionship, and plenty of love. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, and I strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work part-time and am self-employed, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to be available throughout the day. I can accommodate walks, drop-in visits, feedings, playtime, and check-ins around each pet's specific needs. Because I have control over my work schedule, I can provide reliable care and give pets the attention they deserve rather than fitting them into a busy routine. I enjoy spending time with animals and make it a priority to ensure they feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for while their owners are away. When caring for pets in a client's home, I make it a priority to follow their established routine as closely as possible. I understand that pets feel most comfortable in their familiar environment, so I ensure they receive their regular feeding schedule, exercise, playtime, medications if needed, and plenty of attention and companionship. I treat every home with respect, keeping it clean and secure while following any instructions provided by the owner. I also provide updates and photos so pet parents can have peace of mind knowing their pets are safe, happy, and well cared for while they're away.

Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
